Hey Ross, a fun video. Having been to Guernsey many times we know you may not be financial millionaires but you are all spiritual millionaires. What a wonderful place to live, you are all truly blessed. Thank you for your channel!

Evening Ross - very entertaining video - while the island is beautiful - the people are the thing that I remember from my many business visits- the warmth and the genuineness of the wellcome I always received from landing to take off.
Your easy manner is an example of how the people react and I consider myself very fortunate to have visited Guernsey.

I live In guernsey and hardly ever see a Bentley or posh cars. Rent a house and can vouch everything is more expensive in guernsey.

There is a really wide range and has always been but it’s getting harder from what I hear. Alas there are also very rude incomers in finance that try to rearrange the
Island and think that all Cobo
Just Eat Chips and don’t think they have to pay the Trades.
    Fuming when I heard this!

I have family on the island and they are not millionaires. Its a great place to visit and holiday. I just wish the powers that be would extend the runway to make air travel into the island cheaper.

Im looking at Alderney. That looks good too. Can you do one for that island or is there a vid already for it? I wanted to know what beaches we can take our 2 big dogs on as most seem to be out of bounds during the summer months there.

What you did'nt explain was the demagraphics between local and open market owners ....massive difference in wealth required to live in the open market status

Went for a holiday there in the 1980's, it was very boring to be honest. Jersey had lots more going on. Now of course jersey has lost most of its attractions and nightlife.

Polar opposite for me. I live in Middlesbrough and people think it’s a Coronation Street, terraced housing slum. Parts of it are like that. I don’t. My area of Acklam Hall is nice. Detached houses, my neighbours are head teachers, eye surgeon and a gynaecologist! 🙆🏻‍♂️

Just got back last night, after my second week on the island in a month, this time with the express purpose of trying to figure out a way of living there and, to be blunt, I don't see how it's possible, unless there's some backdoor way I'm not getting. The biggest barrier is accommodation - apparently there are only 12-1500 open market properties and unless you've got North of £1800 a month for rent, you stand almost no chance of finding anything; everyone has their name on every estate agent's waiting list and anything affordable doesn't even make it to the advertising stage, there's a queue of people for every property. The anomaly is, there are an awful lot of outsiders on the island, especially from Asia and Eastern Europe, so where are they living and how are they affording it, unless it's a case of massive house share schemes, where they're all chipping in to make £3K a month possible.

The thing is - you don't have to be that special these days to be a millionaire..................plenty of folk are millionaires by virtue of house price inflation - but their income is just average. I am one of them. I could NEVER even dream of buying my house on my income in this day and age. 30 years ago things were so different.

SE Asia not quite my thing, just can't take to folk who have never even taken to cutlery.

My grandparents lived in Guernsey and didn’t have much but had a really blessed life and very happy with what they had, love your channel brings happy memories from years ago.😊
