    I've binge watched your weight loss Wednesday vid's & wanted to thank you so much! Finally, someone who gets the addictive component. Today'll be my first SOS free day, got some salt free seasonings & made your "yummy sauce" (truly yummy). Veg for breakfast is different but you make a lot of sense. You are amazing Chef AJ, thanks again!

    Dear Chef AJ! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I agree with you about cooked buckwheat, however, I'm sure you will like slightly roasted buckwheat. Just put it in a skillet and roast it over medium heat, stirring it a little bit until golden brown. You will love it. It is totally different from the cooked one. It is light and crunchy, great with fruits.

    Went to Disneyland last week. They didn’t have a microwave for the rooms! I almost freaked out! Stayed on plan, but very frustrating

    Last week you mentioned the issue with oatmeal.... I was always hungry soon after a bowl with fruit switched to pumpkin and it lasts a lot longer. Thanks

    • @CHEFAJ
      @CHEFAJ  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably because pumpkin is starch which is more satiating than fruit

    Regarding Ordering Plain Baked Potatoes in SteakHouses...
    Vegans might find it helpful to know that several chain steakhouse restaurants rub their potatoes with bacon grease, butter or dairy margarine before baking. (always ask)

      Just to add to your comment, if folks would eat out less and cook whole natural foods at home, they wouldn't have to worry about that. A waiter or waitress could be told not to use those things, and it could still be used and you wouldn't know it. I always have said, at least with cooking at home, you know what ingredients are in your meals.

    Hi Chef AJ,
    I truly like the way you motivate people and make things roll! That is really great.
    About the cookie-issue I have a suggestion. There is this wonderful lady in LA called Dara Dubinet. She does lots and lots of raw foods. She is here on youtube as well as facebook or instagram. If people crave their old heavy cakes or cookies, Dara has light raw options to look into or offer to your family.
    Maybe that is a good idea for people who are transitioning.
    I had to laugh when you said that juices and liquids don't make you full/satiated.
    That is true. Otherwise people couldn't dring liters of beer at the Octoberfest, right???
    Keep on bringing your message - thank you! I love your videos.

    Chef AJ - thanks. Why is the fat you eat is the fat you wear, assuming one eats the same calorie diet. Also, why no salt if used on steamed vegetables?

    Would love to hear dr lisle talk about 3 meals a day historically. I reading a book "3 squares a day". Where is that video?

    • @CHEFAJ
      @CHEFAJ  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I honestly do not remember. But I do remember him say that we did not historically eat 3 meals a day and snacks.

    • @CHEFAJ
      @CHEFAJ  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am sure I will be interviewing him again and will ask for sure.

    • @PotatoStrong
      @PotatoStrong 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      CHEF AJ yeah i might ask him next time we chat as well. I have a book 3 squares a day that goes into the recent history. Sapiens is another cool book as I know Dr. Lisle is a fan of evolutionary psychology :)
