I sat in shock as Mark, who had no prior knowledge of the case, placed a bet that head trauma was likely a method of the murder after picking a single word “smash” from what most would consider a benign, unrelated comment about headphones. Head trauma was one of the many awful things that child suffered as he fought for his life. The reason this show has gained so much popularity, these guys are truly experts.

@@gezza592 So here’s something that happened to me a couple months back because (a) I noticed suspicious body language, where I live, (b) TBP, (c) a podcast I listen to in the car called My Favorite Murder, and (d) a book by Gavin DeBecker titled The Gift of Fear… Me…I usually have a list for grocery shopping or I’ll forget half the things I need (yeah…I’m old 😜). So I had my list on my phone and another list on paper from my husband. When I got to the store and parked-I like this particular store because it’s close, but the downside, it sometimes has dicey people in the parking lot hitting you up for money, so I’m cautious and I’m aware of my surroundings; right? This day I sat in my car for a couple minutes transferring my list to the paper and watched what was going on in the parking lot because I saw a man (dicey looking) politely harassing a woman based on their body language, facial expressions and larger distance between them, so I stayed a bit longer to watch and finish the story on my podcast. Turns out that the guy was begging for money (shocker), but on the occasion he would score cash, he would go and give it to a guy by the front door, he had a better vantage point to observe the cars coming into the lot, so it looked like he was directing then other field guy to the more expensive-looking cars or compliant-looking humans…so the guy in the field (lot) had a partner🙄. This is a new one for me! So then the parking lot guy went back out to the lot and hit up another young woman (without children). I only saw him targeting women during the time I was there. Welcome to South Florida, that’s what it’s like here on the regular. 🙄 So I left. But on the way, I called the store and told the manager what was going on in his parking lot and that he just lost my business because I was driving to another store where I wouldn’t be harassed. During the call, the store manager thanked me for letting him know, then told me that they’d been there before running the same game. I’m like: Dude, then keep an eye on your parking lot! That’s my little behavior observation story/crime tip for the day, y’all 🙃♥️😁 SSDGM
I live in Colorado Springs, where Leticia lived, so this case is especially heart wrenching for me. It’s scary to know an absolute psychopath like her could have brushed shoulders with me!

And another fun factoid, is in your lifetime, in my life time, we will brush shoulders with an unknown or yet to be identified, serial killer, at least once or twice 😮 .... Un known serial killers, meaning actively, serialy killing yet unknown to police, MEANING law/authorities/feds don't even know there's a serial killer to be looking for 😬😳 That averages out to be there's at least 2 active but unknown serial killers IN EVERY STATE 😮 I DIDNT WANT TO KNOW ANY OF THAT so I shared it with you 😂😂😂😂

What stood out to me was when she said “I didn’t bring a gun downstairs with me or anything” That set red flags off in my head, because, no one said she did. This lead me to believe she did bring her gun downstairs with her. Now, knowing from the trial that she in fact shot Gannon, reenforces my theory that she did actually have a gun with her when she went downstairs. There was absolutely no reason for her to make sure to tell the officer that she didn’t bring a gun down with her, so I call BS on that statement
I’m pretty sure the whole guy in the house is a complete lie though. I think that’s kind of why she incorporated the gun into the lie because it’s some thing she used so she uses a little bit of truth with a lot of lie.

What my point was, the mentioning of a gun, and random statement that she didn’t bring it down with her reminded me of my grandson saying “I didn’t eat a cookie” out of the blue. (He absolutely ate a cookie, lol). And Lie-tecia randomly bringing up the gun she supposedly didn’t have with her, like a toddler bringing up a cookie without a prompt to do so, was a red flag to me.
my husband died after we had been married 10 years. I raised our 6 yr old dtr alone. i dated no one or went on any dates until she was 4 months shy of graduating high school. I could never believe that bringing another man around my dtr was a good idea. My parents didn’t even let us spend the night with people or have sleepovers. Daddy always said, most people are no dmn good and ya need to be cautious bout forming relationships with every “nice” person ya meet. That advice is what kept me focused on what’s necessary. At that time it was making sure i provided a stable ,safe n secure environment for us both. I have 2 dtrs and i’ve trained them both the same way. Some of the nicest people turn out to be just like this MENACE to society.
My hat off to you! This is the underlying issue with this case. The father married wife #2 and barley knows her. She's abusing the kids consistently while he works out of town frequently. After this cow is arrested for murder he's already remarried to wife #3. With a new baby. Gannon's little sister has now lived through all the chaos and trauma and what does he do? Spend time healing and comforting his daughter? No she has another new mommy and step sibling. Society accepts this as normal. He deserves his happiness. He's culpable for the death of his son. I've listened to his tapes during the time before they found Gannon. He knew she was unstable and violent. But leaves his vulnerable children in her care. The statics are very high that a step parent will hurt your child. It's not too much to ask people to put their lives on hold for a few years until their kids are grown? It's admirable that you cared more about your child than your loneliness.

His son is brutally murdered by his wife leaving a very young girl is exposed to all this trauma and his main priority is running off and getting remarried as fast as possible?!?!?!?! He made such a horrifically terrible judgment call on his last relationship that it cost his son his life and he doesn't hesitate for one second to evaluate his ability to judge character before exposing his remaining child to yet another new woman?!?!?! Unbelievable. Disgusting and unbelievable. Al Stauch is a terrible father imo and shouldn't have had or continue to have custody of his child(ren).
@@ajordan1976 You are exactly right, there is nothing wrong with telling adults they need to sacrifice being in a relationship for giving themselves 100% to their children. I know everyone is different but I've never been lonely a day in my 54 years. I've never experienced being lonely for companionship. I've always had plenty to do and I always enjoy what I'm doing. I enjoy being with my children and friends and I enjoy spending time with no one around. My life is my own and I choose to do exactly what I enjoy however, my children came first. To me that not only meant providing for them , it meant it was not time for me to be dating anyone. Many times children just cannot process the idea of a new parental addition to the family. Even if the person is great and isn't a problem. Children want the attention of their parents peridot. You can't really do that when trying to build a new relationship unless the newbie doesn't need much. I can't tell you how many times my dtr has called home and thanked me for not bringing a man to our home. Of course I'm always proud that my children are proud of me. She's a social worker therefore she sees the results of what parents do to their children for the sake of being in questionable or untimely relationships.

Fortunately I stand firm in my conviction concerning Gannon's safety and why he is no longer alive. I believe if we don't ask the hard questions about how this child wound up murdered. Then his death was in vain. You brought up several important points The fact that Al is sitting in a courtroom with 3 wives is mind boggling. That he trusts anyone is beyond me? I'm convinced he only wanted full custody so he didn't have to pay child support. The way he cosigned the parental alienation against Landon was a crime! Makes so angry for both Landon and Laina. This case is so sad. What makes it hard is was preventable. If only Al had his priorities straight. An eleven year old boy would be 14 now. But for some reason popular opinion is Al is a hero. 😡

I've been following this case from the beginning. Since the moment she did that absurd interview, to watching the entire trial. She had no leg to stand on in her defense. She merely said she was psychotic (legally insane). Nope. You dont rent a truck, drive a thousand miles, and dump the poor boy over a bridge on psychosis. I'm saying that as someone who has psychosis.

What an absolute HORROR of a human being. She smashed a full Monster energy drink can into a correction officer's face while being extradited back to Colorado from South Carolina after breaking free from her restraints so she could try to get out of a moving van going around 70 mph. She was flipping off witnesses in court. The judge threatened to secure her cuffs to a bolt under the table if she didn't stop. The judge's remarks to her before sentencing were PERFECT. He cried during Al & Landen's victim impact statements, which were so moving that I sobbed. RIP, Gannon.🌿💙
Mark was spot on about the emphasis on "smash your head." This poor little boy had 4 blunt force injuries to his head that cracked his skull. She's a monster.

Im an ex coal miner neither of my parents ever said they loved me. They devorsed around 1976. Yet shown nothing but hate towards each another. I met my now wife jan 5th1979. We didnt have our daughter until 5th Feb 2,000. After her birth i remember sitting in my car in the hospital car park and suddenly found myself in tears. This really shook me up. Untill that moment i was one of those tough /hard men. I never shed a tear for any reason , not even witnessing one of my work mates being killed before my eyes . I had a serious accident in a roof fall notnlong after this, where i had my right arm virtually severd from below my right ear to my hips. My right hip broke , my left hip fractured. It took a lot of physio and healing. I went through a lot of wow is me, this little bundle of joy hit me so hard. She changed everything about me. I became a doting dad. My wife and i also made a pact. Anyone harm our daughter, my wife would visit regularly in prison. I coukdnt u derstand why my parents didnt have the same feeli gs for their child. I woukd die in a milli second to protect my child . The strange thing is id also protect anyone else's child too. I can honestly say becoming a dad really changed me. Ever since we had our daughter i will blubber up at virtualy anything reguarding kids. When my daufmghter went to uni in Leeds , we got home and i sat in the front room and cried. My. Wife asked me what was up? I said weve left her all on her own. My wife laghed and said she'll be fine, shes a big girl and i promise you ahes already out meeting new freinds. Shes now finished uni and back home. All i can say in my defence is my wife came from a loving family , i came from a family where i had to learn to love. I know for sure after some 43 years together and having put my wife on a pedestal,which she has to share with our daughter, i git something right, something that i was never taught by my parents. Having our daughter ( jade) was the icing on the cake.
God blessed you with your wife and daughter..not by accident..praise him and give him thanks for your blessings of today !! Very happy ..I understand..it's hard to witness callous people .

im 54 and have raised 2 kids. every time I hear a story about someone leaving a child in a car to go in a store. I have never been able to wrap my head around that at all. this weirdo claims to be going back-and-forth outside to check on the child. The stupidest logic is to leave a child in a car to go shopping but spend time going back-and-forth to make sure the child is all right when you can take the child in the damn store with you and stop wasting time but of course we are not dealing with people that have any crayons in their crayon box.🤔🤷

I watched the trail the same time as I watched Lori trail. Both women’s behaviour was unbelievable, no empathy or ownership for the awful things they did.

11 yr old Gannon was beaten (including head trauma, as Mark guessed,) stabbed numerous times, then shot. This wasn't a moment of anger that went too far. This was a horrific murder with overwhelming hatred toward the child. The only glimmer of light to be had is that "Dr. Letitia Stauch" will never see the light of day again. If you watch the trial, watch when the dad Albert testifies. How manipulative she was to him is unbelievable. Then the recorded phone calls Al made with the FBI there to coach him... incredible. It's always about her innocence and not about Gannon. And let's not forget the bizarre interview with the media where they ask what message she has for Gannon and she says she can't wait for him to get home and prove all the haters wrong. OMG. She's dangerous and belongs where she is.
She took it out on him. In my opinion, she was bitter and resentful towards her husband and Gannon's mom. She hurt them by hurting that sweet little boy. Worse kind of monster..
The times she is describing herself growing hit in the head, she is actually describing when she hit Gannon on the head several times to knock him out prior to stabbing him
Greg and panel, Laina is Gannon’s little sister. When she came home, Letitia sent her outside to play. Harley, whom was 17 at the time, came home a little after 4:30 (works at massage envy) she sent her (and told her to take Laina with her) to go buy cleaning supplies. They had previous plans to go out for sushi which Gannon did not like to do. She told the two girls that his stomach was hurting and he was staying home in bed. They went for sushi. That night Harley and Laina came down the stairs to see how he was, and she shuffled them away and back upstairs. I watched the trial and it’s insane how many times she changed the story. There was an FBI profiler that interviewed her that I think you guys would find interesting and would make a great part 2 on this video.

For a woman aparrently beaten unconscious she shows an amazing lack of injury. Also amazing is her ability to recall that she had thoughts during her 'blackout'. Obviously she's never had a significant enough head injury to lose consciousness even if only briefly. This woman had absolutely no chance of getting away with her crime. Even the enclosing community recognized her guilt and spoke about it on Facebook. By choosing to put her in an victim's interview room rather than an Interrogation cell was genius. Left Leticia with a subtle sense that she was getting away with her story. Making her comfortable enough to elaborate the story. Each elaboration is another place the detectives can explore to find inconsistencies between her narrative and the evidence. For a supposed M.Ed she doesn't seem very thoughtful. Quite sloppy in her scenario construction, almost amateur. A likely consequence of her repeatedly getting away with her fabrications.

The reason the Percocet trips are important is bc when she did arrive home camera footage see’s her getting out of the truck but you can’t see Gannon get out of the truck. So when she “took a wrong turn” it was thought that she killed him while out running to Petco and put his body out where she supposedly took the wrong turn. Oh she had an online degree and during the trial they couldn’t find proof that she had a degree. Basically she lied about everything in her life including having a degree!!

The reason she talks so much is so she can stop them from asking questions. Because when the cops start asking questions it screws up her rehearsed story. I know you've said this before Scott but i hope you dont think that constant eye contact is always deception. As a kid i always had trouble with eye contact. Then around my teenage years i told myself to just keep eye contact no matter how uncomfortable i got. Since then ive noticed i maintain eye contact much longer than most people, i just taughtmyself to overcompensate.

LS explains a story in which she had access to at-least 3 loaded guns, including an AR & 2 cell phones. She supposedly was given the freedom by her r@•••t to check the ring notifications on her cell phone, walk up & down the stairs , open the front door to speak to 2 girls age 8 & 17, write out a list for cleaning supplies and then return to the door to give the girls the list & instruct them to go shopping @ dollar tree. She texted Harley 2-3 times during the time frame she claims she & Gannon were “attacked.” This woman is a monster, i’m glad she was recently transferred to Topeka, she sucks.
2:29 She says the day before he disappeared, they went hiking and Gannon had stomach problems and "pooped in his pants." When I heard that I assumed this was a young child - maybe 4 or 5. But he was 11. This makes me think he didn't really poop his pants and she just wants to humiliate him (his memory).
Exactly. She knew he was very embarrassed having dealt with bowel issues due to his prematurity. That bish brought up these issues repeatedly to HUMILIATE Gannon to the entire world!! Wasn't enough she painfully tortured and took his life.💙
The detectives are questioning her in the "family" room to disarm her. They treat the parents of missing children as victims, initially, so if she thinks they still consider her as a victim and not a perp, it will cause her to be off her guard and willing to talk, when she realkh shouldn't be talking.
I'd guess nobody in LE believed her from the get-go. Not credible with her multiple iterations of implausible stories. Anyway, the parents would be the prime suspects in these kinds of cases.

The nesting reference was also interesting. As a retired RN, I have told patients who were worried about a health problem to create a nest on their couch. To have their phone at hand, fluids to drink, the tv remote, a book to distract them, a lap blanket, you get the idea. It makes them feel less anxious and more secure.
As a Colorado native I have been dying to know what you gentlemen would have to say about this for years. As always, well worth the wait! I’ve been a true crime junky since the Betty Broderick trial, (She would be another fascinating person for the four of you) you know, before it was cool…I’ve watched a lot of rough court stuff & this trial took my appetite away. I think it gave me a few extra gray hairs. Just the recordings of her phone calls to Gannon’s father are beyond maddening, that man Al is a saint, plays it so cool. Some stepmothers hate a stepchild so much they’re capable of murder. I had two of them and they have done everything in their power to destroy my life… to the point of telling blatant lies (smear campaigning) to turn those I love against me. I think there have been times where they wanted me dead and out of the picture. I am so sorry for what this little boy endured and suffered. I’m sure he knew even before the murder this evil woman hated him. I’m shocked the father didn’t pick up on any animosity from this woman towards Gannon. It was there. My dad refused to see it. Oh yeah, the hatred is definitely there. But to these people, all this is a game. She was bored & went after Al to see if she could break up his family. She got him. She won there.. Then it was a game to take the kids from their own mother. She did that, too. (I think it was all monetary for her tho- she didn't want that income going for child support) She was very materialistic, her & her daughter too.
This lady's story is ridiculous! So there is an intruder in her home, who has a gun, has already physically assaulted her and is now trying to rape her. Her 11 year old son comes in (presumably unarmed) and attempts to rescue her. At 1:06:44 she describes this incredible act of bravery and love as, he "trys to do something, be helpful or whatever" AND then she had the opportunity to flee and send for help for him and she does nothing, but she does provide the perpetrator with a suitcase. Wow! Even in her cover up story she is a terrible person. Amazing
This first story is the closest we come to knowing what actually happened to Gannon. I felt like her interaction with the 'intruder' had kernels of truth of what was going on with her & Gannon after returning from Petco. She was the one going into the gun drawer. She was the one he was tussling with. She's telling on herself a lot here. Especially about what she was thinking afterwards & why she was lying to everyone. She really was in panic mode & trying to figure out what to do.

What parent - and I have three kids - would start an interview about a missing child with "I have photographic evidence of where he was that morning??" I knew she did it right then! 😂
She almost stopped "crying" as she observed the detective grabbing the tissue box. If you were truly in grief and crying, it wouldn't matter what the other person was doing. You would continue sobbing, hardly even noticing what they were doing, in my opinion.

Letitia actually tried to kill Gannon 3 times before she finally suceeded, hence the overkill on the final time (she hit him on the head 4 times, stabbed him multiple times and also shot him twice). First she intended to push him off a cliff at Garden of the Gods, then she slipped opiates in Gannons drink and made him have 2 baths (hoping he'd drown), then she tries the house fire but the candle doesn't light the blankets that Gannon is wrapped in and finally she looses her temper and goes crazy on overkill. Her interview to the press is fascinating so definitely watch that if you're interested in this case. Thanks for covering this guys ❤
@tiffanyreyna6949 No, she doesn't say why, but my guess is that it's to do with narcissistic jealousy. She wanted to secure her place in Al's life as his most important person. So she constantly degraded the ex-wife, Landon, both in Al's mind and to the kids. Then there was just Gannon in the way. Leticia worked hard to persuade Gannon that his mum was a monster who put drugs ahead of him and no longer loved him etc etc. When he didn't fall for the manipulation and still wanted to be with his mother, Leticia lost it. She saw him as ungrateful for all the hard work and effort that she'd put in. She didn't love him or give him unconditional love or care because she's incapable of that. So she kept a mental score of everything she did for 'his' kids and then expected the same amount in return. But Gannon still loved his mother, and that tipped Leticia over the edge. Leticia is also a compulsive liar so gaslighting came naturally to her. This is my take on the situation and players involved anyway. I watched the trial and I also looked at other people's views. Sadly, I was also married to someone like Leticia who destroyed my life and character, took my children and all the money. He's dragged me through the Family Courts for 4 years now and counting.
1:57:24 She so perfectly illustrates how she feels about Gannon compared to her daughter. Even in a made up dangerous situation, she is saying she was more concerned about her daughter possibly coming home to the situation than the son in the arms of the attacker. That spoke volumes.

She told about 13 different stories over weeks and when the found Gannons little body in a green suitcase I think, she plead guilty by reason of insanity smh, even tried the multiple personalities in court. Scott was on the right track regarding how weird or interesting it was when one of the detectives stepped out of the room; I believe we learned at her trial that the cops were searching her car or gathering DNA evidence or something in that realm during that interrogation.

When I went to this one family's house, all my stuff surrounded me and Randy was half the couple I was friends with, but he cleverly observed how my stuff was practically my way of barricading myself in. And it was true. I hadn't known them yet, but I don't travel lightly due to various disabilities. And I used to smoke 2 kinds of cigarettes which I would go outside to smoke and work my anxiety out on Sudoku or other puzzle, but it added to the haul I had and built up my barriers. And I think I might have known I wouldn't be safe and he would wind up being extremely abusive towards me. Physically hurting me and threatening me, not to mention the mental-emotional roller-coaster. But I realized that when Greg mentioned all the stuff around her, I flashbacked to my barricade-building. Nobody can get close to you if you're all spread out like that. And that's what I perceive she was doing, anyway.

I sat in shock as Mark, who had no prior knowledge of the case, placed a bet that head trauma was likely a method of the murder after picking a single word “smash” from what most would consider a benign, unrelated comment about headphones. Head trauma was one of the many awful things that child suffered as he fought for his life.

Me…I usually have a list for grocery shopping or I’ll forget half the things I need (yeah…I’m old 😜).
So I had my list on my phone and another list on paper from my husband.
When I got to the store and parked-I like this particular store because it’s close, but the downside, it sometimes has dicey people in the parking lot hitting you up for money, so I’m cautious and I’m aware of my surroundings; right?
This day I sat in my car for a couple minutes transferring my list to the paper and watched what was going on in the parking lot because I saw a man (dicey looking) politely harassing a woman based on their body language, facial expressions and larger distance between them, so I stayed a bit longer to watch and finish the story on my podcast. Turns out that the guy was begging for money (shocker), but on the occasion he would score cash, he would go and give it to a guy by the front door, he had a better vantage point to observe the cars coming into the lot, so it looked like he was directing then other field guy to the more expensive-looking cars or compliant-looking humans…so the guy in the field (lot) had a partner🙄. This is a new one for me! So then the parking lot guy went back out to the lot and hit up another young woman (without children).
I only saw him targeting women during the time I was there.

So I left. But on the way, I called the store and told the manager what was going on in his parking lot and that he just lost my business because I was driving to another store where I wouldn’t be harassed.
During the call, the store manager thanked me for letting him know, then told me that they’d been there before running the same game.
I’m like: Dude, then keep an eye on your parking lot!

What stood out to me was when she said “I didn’t bring a gun downstairs with me or anything” That set red flags off in my head, because, no one said she did. This lead me to believe she did bring her gun downstairs with her. Now, knowing from the trial that she in fact shot Gannon, reenforces my theory that she did actually have a gun with her when she went downstairs. There was absolutely no reason for her to make sure to tell the officer that she didn’t bring a gun down with her, so I call BS on that statement
I’m pretty sure the whole guy in the house is a complete lie though. I think that’s kind of why she incorporated the gun into the lie because it’s some thing she used so she uses a little bit of truth with a lot of lie.

What my point was, the mentioning of a gun, and random statement that she didn’t bring it down with her reminded me of my grandson saying “I didn’t eat a cookie” out of the blue. (He absolutely ate a cookie, lol). And Lie-tecia randomly bringing up the gun she supposedly didn’t have with her, like a toddler bringing up a cookie without a prompt to do so, was a red flag to me.
my husband died after we had been married 10 years. I raised our 6 yr old dtr alone. i dated no one or went on any dates until she was 4 months shy of graduating high school. I could never believe that bringing another man around my dtr was a good idea. My parents didn’t even let us spend the night with people or have sleepovers. Daddy always said, most people are no dmn good and ya need to be cautious bout forming relationships with every “nice” person ya meet. That advice is what kept me focused on what’s necessary. At that time it was making sure i provided a stable ,safe n secure environment for us both. I have 2 dtrs and i’ve trained them both the same way. Some of the nicest people turn out to be just like this MENACE to society.

This is the underlying issue with this case.
The father married wife #2 and barley knows her. She's abusing the kids consistently while he works out of town frequently.
After this cow is arrested for murder he's already remarried to wife #3.
With a new baby.
Gannon's little sister has now lived through all the chaos and trauma and what does he do?
Spend time healing and comforting his daughter?
No she has another new mommy and step sibling.
Society accepts this as normal. He deserves his happiness.
He's culpable for the death of his son.
I've listened to his tapes during the time before they found Gannon.
He knew she was unstable and violent.
But leaves his vulnerable children in her care.
The statics are very high that a step parent will hurt your child.
It's not too much to ask people to put their lives on hold for a few years until their kids are grown?
It's admirable that you cared more about your child than your loneliness.

His son is brutally murdered by his wife leaving a very young girl is exposed to all this trauma and his main priority is running off and getting remarried as fast as possible?!?!?!?! He made such a horrifically terrible judgment call on his last relationship that it cost his son his life and he doesn't hesitate for one second to evaluate his ability to judge character before exposing his remaining child to yet another new woman?!?!?! @@ajordan1976 You are exactly right, there is nothing wrong with telling adults they need to sacrifice being in a relationship for giving themselves 100% to their children. I know everyone is different but I've never been lonely a day in my 54 years. I've never experienced being lonely for companionship. I've always had plenty to do and I always enjoy what I'm doing. I enjoy being with my children and friends and I enjoy spending time with no one around. My life is my own and I choose to do exactly what I enjoy however, my children came first. To me that not only meant providing for them , it meant it was not time for me to be dating anyone. Many times children just cannot process the idea of a new parental addition to the family. Even if the person is great and isn't a problem. Children want the attention of their parents peridot. You can't really do that when trying to build a new relationship unless the newbie doesn't need much.
I can't tell you how many times my dtr has called home and thanked me for not bringing a man to our home. Of course I'm always proud that my children are proud of me. She's a social worker therefore she sees the results of what parents do to their children for the sake of being in questionable or untimely relationships.

I've been following this case from the beginning. Since the moment she did that absurd interview, to watching the entire trial. She had no leg to stand on in her defense. She merely said she was psychotic (legally insane). Nope. You dont rent a truck, drive a thousand miles, and dump the poor boy over a bridge on psychosis. I'm saying that as someone who has psychosis.
100%! Andrea Yates was psychotic. She did not try to cover it up. She called the cops after. Leticia did everything she possibly could to cover up her heinous crime.

Listening to her crumble on the phone with Al during their phone calls while he's being coached by the FBI was like witnessing the Wicked Witch of the West screeching, "I'm melting, meeeltinnng..."
What an absolute HORROR of a human being.
She smashed a full Monster energy drink can into a correction officer's face while being extradited back to Colorado from South Carolina after breaking free from her restraints so she could try to get out of a moving van going around 70 mph.
She was flipping off witnesses in court. The judge threatened to secure her cuffs to a bolt under the table if she didn't stop.
The judge's remarks to her before sentencing were PERFECT. He cried during Al & Landen's victim impact statements, which were so moving that I sobbed.

Im an ex coal miner neither of my parents ever said they loved me. They devorsed around 1976. Yet shown nothing but hate towards each another. I met my now wife jan 5th1979. We didnt have our daughter until 5th Feb 2,000. After her birth i remember sitting in my car in the hospital car park and suddenly found myself in tears. This really shook me up. Untill that moment i was one of those tough /hard men. I never shed a tear for any reason , not even witnessing one of my work mates being killed before my eyes . I had a serious accident in a roof fall notnlong after this, where i had my right arm virtually severd from below my right ear to my hips. My right hip broke , my left hip fractured. It took a lot of physio and healing. I went through a lot of wow is me, this little bundle of joy hit me so hard. She changed everything about me. I became a doting dad. My wife and i also made a pact. Anyone harm our daughter, my wife would visit regularly in prison. I coukdnt u derstand why my parents didnt have the same feeli gs for their child. I woukd die in a milli second to protect my child . The strange thing is id also protect anyone else's child too. I can honestly say becoming a dad really changed me. Ever since we had our daughter i will blubber up at virtualy anything reguarding kids. When my daufmghter went to uni in Leeds , we got home and i sat in the front room and cried. My. Wife asked me what was up? I said weve left her all on her own. My wife laghed and said she'll be fine, shes a big girl and i promise you ahes already out meeting new freinds. Shes now finished uni and back home. All i can say in my defence is my wife came from a loving family , i came from a family where i had to learn to love. I know for sure after some 43 years together and having put my wife on a pedestal,which she has to share with our daughter, i git something right, something that i was never taught by my parents. Having our daughter ( jade) was the icing on the cake.
God blessed you with your wife and daughter..not by accident..praise him and give him thanks for your blessings of today !! Very happy ..I understand..it's hard to witness callous people .

11 yr old Gannon was beaten (including head trauma, as Mark guessed,) stabbed numerous times, then shot. This wasn't a moment of anger that went too far. This was a horrific murder with overwhelming hatred toward the child. The only glimmer of light to be had is that "Dr. Letitia Stauch" will never see the light of day again. If you watch the trial, watch when the dad Albert testifies. How manipulative she was to him is unbelievable. Then the recorded phone calls Al made with the FBI there to coach him... incredible. It's always about her innocence and not about Gannon. And let's not forget the bizarre interview with the media where they ask what message she has for Gannon and she says she can't wait for him to get home and prove all the haters wrong. OMG. She's dangerous and belongs where she is.
She took it out on him. In my opinion, she was bitter and resentful towards her husband and Gannon's mom. She hurt them by hurting that sweet little boy. Worse kind of monster..

Greg and panel, Laina is Gannon’s little sister. When she came home, Letitia sent her outside to play. Harley, whom was 17 at the time, came home a little after 4:30 (works at massage envy) she sent her (and told her to take Laina with her) to go buy cleaning supplies. They had previous plans to go out for sushi which Gannon did not like to do. She told the two girls that his stomach was hurting and he was staying home in bed. They went for sushi. That night Harley and Laina came down the stairs to see how he was, and she shuffled them away and back upstairs. I watched the trial and it’s insane how many times she changed the story. There was an FBI profiler that interviewed her that I think you guys would find interesting and would make a great part 2 on this video.

For a woman aparrently beaten unconscious she shows an amazing lack of injury.
Also amazing is her ability to recall that she had thoughts during her 'blackout'. Obviously she's never had a significant enough head injury to lose consciousness even if only briefly.
This woman had absolutely no chance of getting away with her crime. Even the enclosing community recognized her guilt and spoke about it on Facebook.
By choosing to put her in an victim's interview room rather than an Interrogation cell was genius. Left Leticia with a subtle sense that she was getting away with her story. Making her comfortable enough to elaborate the story.
Each elaboration is another place the detectives can explore to find inconsistencies between her narrative and the evidence.
For a supposed M.Ed she doesn't seem very thoughtful. Quite sloppy in her scenario construction, almost amateur. A likely consequence of her repeatedly getting away with her fabrications.
Listening to her, I thought she had a low level of education.

The reason the Percocet trips are important is bc when she did arrive home camera footage see’s her getting out of the truck but you can’t see Gannon get out of the truck. So when she “took a wrong turn” it was thought that she killed him while out running to Petco and put his body out where she supposedly took the wrong turn. Oh she had an online degree and during the trial they couldn’t find proof that she had a degree. Basically she lied about everything in her life including having a degree!!

The detectives are questioning her in the "family" room to disarm her. They treat the parents of missing children as victims, initially, so if she thinks they still consider her as a victim and not a perp, it will cause her to be off her guard and willing to talk, when she realkh shouldn't be talking.

The nesting reference was also interesting. As a retired RN, I have told patients who were worried about a health problem to create a nest on their couch. To have their phone at hand, fluids to drink, the tv remote, a book to distract them, a lap blanket, you get the idea. It makes them feel less anxious and more secure.

As a Colorado native I have been dying to know what you gentlemen would have to say about this for years. As always, well worth the wait! I’ve been a true crime junky since the Betty Broderick trial, (She would be another fascinating person for the four of you) you know, before it was cool…I’ve watched a lot of rough court stuff & this trial took my appetite away. I think it gave me a few extra gray hairs. Just the recordings of her phone calls to Gannon’s father are beyond maddening, that man Al is a saint, plays it so cool.

I had two of them and they have done everything in their power to destroy my life… to the point of telling blatant lies (smear campaigning) to turn those I love against me. I think there have been times where they wanted me dead and out of the picture. I am so sorry for what this little boy endured and suffered. This lady's story is ridiculous! So there is an intruder in her home, who has a gun, has already physically assaulted her and is now trying to rape her. Her 11 year old son comes in (presumably unarmed) and attempts to rescue her. At 1:06:44 she describes this incredible act of bravery and love as, he "trys to do something, be helpful or whatever" AND then she had the opportunity to flee and send for help for him and she does nothing, but she does provide the perpetrator with a suitcase. Wow! Even in her cover up story she is a terrible person. Amazing

This first story is the closest we come to knowing what actually happened to Gannon. I felt like her interaction with the 'intruder' had kernels of truth of what was going on with her & Gannon after returning from Petco. She was the one going into the gun drawer. She was the one he was tussling with. She's telling on herself a lot here. Especially about what she was thinking afterwards & why she was lying to everyone. She really was in panic mode & trying to figure out what to do.

She almost stopped "crying" as she observed the detective grabbing the tissue box. If you were truly in grief and crying, it wouldn't matter what the other person was doing. You would continue sobbing, hardly even noticing what they were doing, in my opinion.

Letitia actually tried to kill Gannon 3 times before she finally suceeded, hence the overkill on the final time (she hit him on the head 4 times, stabbed him multiple times and also shot him twice). First she intended to push him off a cliff at Garden of the Gods, then she slipped opiates in Gannons drink and made him have 2 baths (hoping he'd drown), then she tries the house fire but the candle doesn't light the blankets that Gannon is wrapped in and finally she looses her temper and goes crazy on overkill.
Her interview to the press is fascinating so definitely watch that if you're interested in this case.

@tiffanyreyna6949 No, she doesn't say why, but my guess is that it's to do with narcissistic jealousy. She wanted to secure her place in Al's life as his most important person. So she constantly degraded the ex-wife, Landon, both in Al's mind and to the kids. Then there was just Gannon in the way. Leticia worked hard to persuade Gannon that his mum was a monster who put drugs ahead of him and no longer loved him etc etc. When he didn't fall for the manipulation and still wanted to be with his mother, Leticia lost it. She saw him as ungrateful for all the hard work and effort that she'd put in. She didn't love him or give him unconditional love or care because she's incapable of that. So she kept a mental score of everything she did for 'his' kids and then expected the same amount in return. But Gannon still loved his mother, and that tipped Leticia over the edge.
Leticia is also a compulsive liar so gaslighting came naturally to her.
This is my take on the situation and players involved anyway. I watched the trial and I also looked at other people's views. Sadly, I was also married to someone like Leticia who destroyed my life and character, took my children and all the money. He's dragged me through the Family Courts for 4 years now and counting.

Scott was on the right track regarding how weird or interesting it was when one of the detectives stepped out of the room; I believe we learned at her trial that the cops were searching her car or gathering DNA evidence or something in that realm during that interrogation.

When I went to this one family's house, all my stuff surrounded me and Randy was half the couple I was friends with, but he cleverly observed how my stuff was practically my way of barricading myself in. And it was true. I hadn't known them yet, but I don't travel lightly due to various disabilities. And I used to smoke 2 kinds of cigarettes which I would go outside to smoke and work my anxiety out on Sudoku or other puzzle, but it added to the haul I had and built up my barriers. And I think I might have known I wouldn't be safe and he would wind up being extremely abusive towards me. Physically hurting me and threatening me, not to mention the mental-emotional roller-coaster. But I realized that when Greg mentioned all the stuff around her, I flashbacked to my barricade-building. Nobody can get close to you if you're all spread out like that. And that's what I perceive she was doing, anyway.
