Great video as usual. Please do Chandler Halderson. Even though we knew he was lying the whole time. That was a crazy trial and I was hooked as soon as I heard William Brown's opening statement. He was awesome.
Could TBP address Tammy Lee's comment during interrogation: "chicks are crazy". That seemed really odd and unprofessional to me. Was the intent to give Chris Watts an invitation to speak negatively about Shanann, encouraging misogyny?
I probably won’t get a reply because this video was uploaded so long ago, but the one thing that got under my skin and made me fear this man was his demented look. Go to 11:08 it’s almost like he is in a trance his eyes go all big and weird and he is fixated on the cop. To me, it’s like he is ready to attack, but what is even stranger is that he has a small smile while his eyes are like this. So I dk what exactly is going on, it’s almost like he is a different entity within that moment but I would love to hear anyones opinion on this…. 11:08 is that look and it’s freaky!
Shannan's friend Nichole also deserves hero status in my opinion. She raised the alarm within hours of their demise. She went the extra mile when she couldn't get ahold of Shannan. She called Chris, the doctors office, Shannan's mom and the police. She told the police that Shannan wouldn't miss her appointment or leave the house without the kids epi pen. She dug in the couch and found the phone. She was not going to let him off the hook for even a second.
Nicole is definitely the reason this case got cracked because she reacted faster than he expected. He didn't have a chance in hell because she was on it before he could cover up his crime. Nicole is the MVP in this case. Everybody needs a friend like her.
Exactly! Does anyone know if she ever did an interview after Chris was sentenced about what her thoughts were and if she knew right away that Chris was guilty?
If you watch the whole video of the bodycam footage, Watts leaves for a moment or two and the neighbour points out to the officer how out-of-character Watts is behaving. Awesome dude.
Yeah I previously watched all the vids and I was secretly high fivin’ that amazing human. Seriously though, he is a natural at tapping his inner behavioral intuition.
I believe he went on high alert when he saw his security cam go off with Chris’s “off activities” that were outside his norm. I believe he HAD TO watch it all and then knew he had to do the right thing for the girls.
Yep! You can see him basically arguing with tWatts, insisting that his camera catches everything. And then (not shown here) when he tells the police that tWatts isn’t “acting right,” and even pointing out how and how far from his baseline he’s acting...an amazing man.
Not sure if the neighbor is amazing. I mean in a sense of course, but maybe watts was just totally different from his normal behavior and it was very easy to tell anyway. We can't really tell how well he had to watch him to see the problem
@@rebel4466 I'm not saying he was amazing for noticing, necessarily; I'm saying he's amazing for not letting it go. Some people would have kept their mouths shut; some wouldn't have argued when Chris tried to imply the camera could have missed something, or they would have assumed his odd behavior was stress and not mentioned it, or whatever--look at the number of people who watch these videos and comment to argue with the Panel, or who watch interviews with obvious liars and believe them because "you don't know how you'd react in a situation like that." Not Nate. He kept that pressure on, and in a way the police couldn't, and he told the police exactly what he was observing that was abnormal. He was the first hero for Shanann and the girls.
This is something I taught my husband to use when he has to discipline someone and get the story of what happened during an incident. He’s an officer is the fire department. He is a nervous talker and doesn’t like having to do that part of his job. I taught him to just breathe, relax and let the other person talk. Silence is your power. Also, to ask open ended questions. Do not fill the silence! He says it has helped him so much. The person pretty much ends up revealing things they wouldn’t have had he let them off the hook by doing all the talking. So, it really does work.
I think chase has young kids? I have a 4yo and 6yo and this case made me nauseous. That's probably why this hits home; you know the horror of those baby's last moments.
I love watching these 4 guys, because they are each so distinctive, yet non-competitive and supportive of one another. Their comaraderie and mutual respect for each other makes even a heinous topic like this one almost enjoyable.
Exactly Mark, I feel the same, and might have posted a similar comment, but found yours! They definitely work well together, on a professional level with ease! :)
That video that pops up on the tv is creepy as hell, it’s a baby as a fetus and then goes into a skull with oil pouring out of it. If that wasn’t shannan speaking to the cops I don’t know what is
It's because no one has an ego. They aren't trying to one up eachother. They are each comfortable in their own knowledge and expertise and find true value in the viewpoints of each of their colleagues.
Trigger warning ❗️ Detective Baumhover (in the maroon shirt) was so traumatised after retrieving Bella & Cece from the crud oil he had to leave the job and has PTSD. He did a great job and had this monster’s number from the jump. He also personally transported baby Nico from the coroner to the funeral home so the wee baby wouldn’t have to travel alone. He changed all the documents to Nico instead of “foetus” He is a hero 🤍 Rest in peace, Shan’Ann, Bella, Cece & Nico🕊️🤍🕊️🤍🕊️🤍🕊️🤍
Hold on a moment I seem to be confused. So the coroner removed the baby from his mother during the autopsy? I didn't think they did that to be honest. That poor man, another casualty of that terrible monster. But indeed he is a hero.
One thing interesting to me was the fact that he didn’t seem to have any interest in watching the neighbor’s surveillance footage. If my family was missing and there was a possibility that a clue was caught on tape, my face would be pressed to that screen, looking for anything that could help. But he literally turns away from it, fully putting his back to it, because he already knows what happened. He’s just waiting to see if the cops see anything.
Oohhh He was fight or flight, he wished he could fly faster than Ironman, that was his worst moment in all the footage because he knew what could be found in that video.
Yesssss! Just about an hour ago I thought "man, a Behavior Panel upload would be amazing today, but it's only wednesday." You absolutely correctly analyzed my body language there. 👍
The lead Detective in this case Mt.Baumhover was so affected by it, that he suffered from PTSD. He was unable to go to work, I don't know if he ever returned. He said in an interview that he was in a restaurant and two little girls walked in, and he had to leave. I hope he recovered and went back to work, we need good guys like him.
When they were watching the neighbors video footage, he was standing there watching himself place his dead wife into the back of his truck. He did not know exactly what the camera was going to be able to view. Imagine the fear of standing there watching yourself in the midst of killing your wife and kids with a police officer standing right there next to you!! His panic was palpable. He had his hands over his head as though he was already anticipating the officer to order him to do so. It's almost unbelievable to actually be seeing all of this!!!
Somebody make a compilation of - Greg saying "yeah" before answering - Chase taking a deep breath before answering - Mark saying "I'm Mark Bowden" - and Scott saying "specific words and phrases"
Was the friend their neighbour? It seems both houses left and right had a negative opinion on Chris. It was like a pincer movement that day. The guy with the cctv nailed him and the female neighbour nailed him by calling the cops and getting in the house and pulling out the medication.
I can see this happening if it was just your spouse. But if my spouse went anyWHERE with our children, you don’t get to keep that information to yourself. Ever.
Chase broke my heart in this video. After all these years and with a long career of dealing with awful people, to still feel so deeply for the victims is a testament to who he is as a person.
I worked in a big city ER for many years. I saw more death than I care to remember. When the person was 85 years old and died of a stroke we'd feel sad. When the person was a 15 year old kid who died in a car accident we felt sad times 10. I can still recall the wails of grief we'd often hear when people were told that their husband/wife/mother/father/brother/sister/son/daughter had died. Parents hearing of their child's death was always the worst.
Yeah I think the interest in this case that people have is the pure unbelievableness of it. I mean who could have imagined a man who is supposed to protect the family would do something so heinous. I am a very passive person mostly but in this case I wish the death penalty had been used. He doesn't deserve to breath air.
Agree completely. It's beyond understanding. People have affairs, relationships breakdown. I just can't understand on any level why he couldn't have just left, done the decent thing and supported her through the pregnancy, provided financial support, visitation,& just tried to be a decent person!!! At what point does the murder of your wife and babies become the easiest way out?!!!
He does not act on mammalian instincts as stated by true crime loser. He is like an amphibian seeing something disrupting existence. Just attack and get it out of the way. However oops we have an entire, highly funded justice system developed to stop crimes just like this
I literally sit & watch it & listen to this all day , when I’m cooking , working , etc. it’s just crazy how he was caught in camera after such a tragedy & can act the way he’s acting . Smh. I agree these officers work well together. He’s a damn! Joke smh 🤦🏾♀️ every time i listen to is answers to the cops, it’s like seriously? He’s all over the place. Ridiculous
An innocent person would be staring at that video intensely trying to find any movement whatsoever in an attempt to see what could have happened with children and wife.
Imagine that neighbor realizing he just watched his own neighbor loading up the body of Shanann and the last moments of those precious little girls. What a horror show.
The neighbor is swaying but for an entirely differene reasob, he's on to him. The way he's eyeing him too, hadn't noticed that before. This neighbor is a hero too
In the initial fake plea video where he's begging people to find his wife and kids, he only becomes truly animated and interested when someone asks him about the shirt he's wearing. Apparently it is his favorite shirt.
Love the way Nate is looking at Chris and Chris cannot meet his eye! Chris' heart must have been pounding here, enough to make him believe they will hear it.
By the way I felt as a woman, that Shannon’s friend, looked at Chris, looked away in disgust and couldn’t believe what she was hearing, she looked again to validate her point and then turned away, I think she adjusted herself, possibly to draw attention but also for helping her to stay calm, and put further distance between herself and this vile man, that she knows has done something
Yes when she’s going through the cell phone and Chris reaches near her hand to grab it she literally jumps back like she could feel the evilness being projected from him
Lol I wish I could be reviewed. I'm an honest person as a rule, but I am also very nervous with ptsd and self conscious from low self-esteem. So I am curious what I do that looks like lying so I can try to modify my weird behaviors better, lol.
Agreed! I’m a nervous introvert and can literally feel those higher brain functions slip away in stressful situations. If I were judged solely on body language, I’m certain that I would be found guilty every time. My only saving graces have been, I was innocent and honest.
If your pregnant wife and children are missing, wouldn’t you cry out and say: ‘We have got to do something. I’m out of my mind with worry.. We’re wasting time!’
What’s odd is that Chris thinks he needs to act relaxed in this situation. His wife is supposed to be missing, he should be nervous and worried. He doesn’t realize he doesn’t know the normal emotional expectations of the situation. No one would be that calm if their loved one was actually missing, they would only be relaxed if you already knew where they were.
I’m so glad they explained this, because it always bugged me- the casual attitude he adopted. Makes sense though how they said basically: he’s freaking out inside, and his instinct is to try to do the opposite swing of the pendulum...which is chill and relaxed. Love these guys.
I wouldn't want to be breathing if I had lost my family. Surely he would be desperate and helping to find them? I would hope that law enforcement would actually support me through such a distressing time. After being medicated I'd curl up into a ball sobbing and pleading everyone to please help me?
I think his thinking is that if he played it cool and calm it would come off as though he simply thought they were out somewhere and safe. He miscalculated the gravity of someone's possessions, phone, etc being left behind. Chase hit it on the head when he called Watts a moron. He truly is a moron. Unfortunately for him, and especially his poor wife and kids, he's also a depraved murderer.
Agree! It would also be a good opportunity to see them analyse not only a defendant, but also the techniques used by the “other side” i.e. the officers.
Police officer: did you see her when she got home? Chris Watts: yes, she got home at 1:48. I was knocked out when she got home. 😳😳huh...if you were “knocked out” how are you so exact about the time your wife got home. This guy is so obvious, it’s uncomfortable to hear and watch. 😬
He had the door bell app thing on his phone so it would have recorded the time she came in on his phone. That would probably be his excuse if they asked him how he knew when she came in. I believe he was awake though when she came in.
@@aislinghorgan4887 That's what I was thinking he might have got the info from. I agree with Sherlock Holmes that it's a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Altho in this case the guy is obviously guilty, you could conclude someone was guilty or lying just because you don't have a full grasp of the facts. It's scary how quickly people jump to conclusions.
That video was taken after the initial search with the 1st cop (hes the one standing with his thumbs in his vest) and they were able to see the exact time she got home from the front door cam. The time was already established.
I absolutely love how these guys work together - so considerate of one another when they're speaking, no interrupting, and throwing it to the other guy once they've wrapped up their own segments. Even though the subject matter is disturbing, watching them is such a pleasure, because they're so knowledgeable, they have such great chemistry together, and their observations are absolutely fascinating!
A special mention for the hero of this tragic event, Nickole Atkinson, Shann’ann’s friend. Nickole had her friends back all the way. We all need a friend like Nickole. I think she deserves a medal.
@@chasehughesofficial i wonder how ya'lls wives survive? Like do they hide for 3 days after going to Target so they don't have to answer any questions 😆
My dad did similar work so I can relate. My friends felt like they were meeting De Niro from "Meet the Fockers" the lie detector scene. Chase would be awesome to see how your kids feel about your skills.
I will never understand how someone could do that. If he wanted to be with that other girl, all he had to do is get divorced and pay child support. The fact that he could do that is like you said, unimaginable. Makes me sick, and I’m not usually affected by stuff that I see/read. I feel so bad for the victims and their family.
Guys, your videos mean a lot to me. Growing up as an only child, I unconsciously learned at an early age to read my dad’s body language as a means to survive. He had a job with a lot of prestige and power and everyone loved him. I felt crazy because I was scared to death of who I knew he was, was not in alignment with who others thought he was. I’ve been in therapy for 17 years and made a great deal of progress in many ways. Though I desperately wanted to understand my dad’s body language and how reading it kept me safe many times, no one could really help me with that. This is the reason I stumbled across y’all shortly after y’all started the channel. I’ve learned so much about behaviors similar to my dad’s and it’s been really healing. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Yes!!! Children from trauma and abuse learn to watch people carefully. I did the same thing when I was young.! I have a daughter that we adopted from a trauma situation and she has admitted to watching us carefully because she’s so used to being hyper vigilant. When you grow up like that you kinda have a sixth sense about people. You can’t always put your finger on it but you pick up on things. My husband and I have hung out with other couples in the past and I’ve looked at him afterwards and said, “They’re going to get divorced.” He’d ask me why I thought that as they seemed so happy. I could just sense it but I couldn’t thoroughly explain why. Interestingly, every time I said that about a couple it happened. I think there are just cues you can see between people that lets you know more about the relationship than their words say. Seeing these videos helps me make sense of things I noticed but couldn’t put into words. There are other things that I didn’t pick up on that I’ve learned from these guys. These videos have helped me process a lot! I hope the same is true for you!
I'm sorry about your experience and completely agree. These videos do have some healing power even though I'm not sure I understand why. Maybe just being able to put words to something which was previously very confusing (at best).
I had a similar experience growing up with my mum. This channel has really helped me realise how much I was gaslighted and lied to as a kid. It’s made me feel like my instincts were right and I can trust them after all.
@@annakoon5563 the hyper vigilante stuff, yes. The reading someone's mood by the way they breathe or by how tight their face skin is… I hope you and your family are doing well and leave all these skills somewhere not for daily use, only for emergency survival situations which I hope you and I never encounter again. How well we've done!
I'd love to see your analysis of someone found guilty and years later found not guilty; A breakdown of misinterpreted body language and what we can learn from it.
@@Anabriella YES. Steven Avery and everyone else ever involved in the cases against him. Start with case one ( it had a lot of coverage) and just start working our way to present! That would be such an awesome case study.
Im always so impressed the neighbor noticed Chris's abnormal body language, and spoke up about it to the cops. I think most of us pick up on these things intuitively, but dont understand why or consciously process that its their body language making something feel off
I've watched the video (of them in the neighbors house watching camera footage) several times before now. I've never noticed how intently the neighbor was watching Chris the entire time. That guy really caught on that something was up with him. Didn't take his eyes off him. Kudos to the neighbor guy for everything he did that day.
Yup. The Behavior Panel didn’t show this part but in the unedited video once the cops conclude with the neighbor and the security camera Chris leaves as fast as he can (of course) and as soon as he’s gone the neighbor says to the cops “Something is not right with him”. I think the cops already knew that but the neighbor confirming this out loud on camera went a long way toward confirming their suspicions.
I watched it 2, & I 100% agree w/ u! The neighbor w/ the security camera played a huge role in CW's arrest! As did SW's GF! SHE PUSHED, & she was SKEPTICAL of CW's BS from the get! SW was BLESSED w/ GREAT FRIENDS & FAMILY who supported her. CW did NOT seem 2 have anyone who supported his story; not even his DAD! These ACTIONS speak VOLUMES about CW & SW's CHARACTER. 1 documentary said SW had recently learned of CW's infidelity. He used THEIR JOINT FINANCES 2 wine & dine his GF. I was SHOCKED by HOW MUCH his (now ex) gf HELPED the POLICE make sure CW STAYS BEHIND BARS 4 LIFE. SHE WENT 2 the police & gave them: general info, details, pictures, timelines, phone records, texts, etc; all info we may've NEVER FOUND OUT w/o HER. Hate her or not, she played a large role in how QUICKLY they were able to arrest & convict CW! 99% of the time, I DETEST the 'Other Woman'/'HOME WRECKER'. However, it's harder 2 hate her, when SHE BRAVELY CAME FORWARD; KNOWING most people HATED her. She PARTICIPATED & CONTRIBUTED anyway. 💗 Another thing that SICKENS ME, is I GUARANTEE this douche bag gets hundreds of fan letters every day from women who want to marry him!!! 😳🤯🤢
@@johnnybarrett5108 SW's friend KNEW, too. As soon as she went inside the house with CW & the Police Officer, she picked up a ton of stuff right away, & she was behaving like CW should have. So very sad! It didn't have to happen!!!😭
The bit where he sees the cctv and has his hands on his head and goes ghost white, the colour literally drains from his face, he shat himself and knew he was going down.
Agreed that was brilliant. I'm screwed was written all over his face.. it looked like he had lost his face because he became visibly thinner. How on earth did this guy think he'd get away with this? Evil swine.
Nothing gives me more joy than watching CW watch himself on home security recordings, hours after annihilating his family, while standing right next to a cop and pooping his pants.
I love how eagerly and joyfully the four of you listen to one another. Getting to talk shop with peers in such a specialized field must be so satisfying. It's so fun to watch you!
As a retired law enforcement officer, I can tell Chris was expecting “turn around, put your hands on the wall” and the click on handcuffs. Also, it’s true that you can actually smell their pheromones as you approach the jail.
You know how I know he was full of shit? Because as husband, father of 2, and grandpa to 1, if my whole family was missing they wouldn't be able to question me because I would be out combing every inch of land. I would be extremely pissed if the cops were focusing on me instead of looking for my family. Now I know in these type of cases, the spouse is the first to suspect, but he is just too emotionally calm for a father that can't find his kids. That's how I know he is a piece of shit.
Watts never actually had any tools stolen. He came up with that story so he had a reason to talk to the next door neighbour and check out what his camera could see.
That’s right @TheLadylexy. There weren’t any tools stolen from the truck. It was a rouse to find out about the neighbours CCTV range. Little did CW know that after talking to CW, the neighbour readjusted his camera & was able to capture the driveway footage we now see. @American Gadfly makes an interesting point above about the need for a screwdriver (sorry, a flat head screwdriver - chaff & redirect) if silly billy CW left his truck unlocked.
Totally. He says he could see where “they” tried to Jimmy the door with a screwdriver to break into his truck, then a little while later he says it was his fault the tools were stolen bc he left the truck unlocked. Can’t keep his story straight...it’s so infuriating that he thought he could get away with it!
I wonder when Chris was looking closely at the TV if he was wondering "Oh sh*t, he can see that NK was coming and going from my place all weekend." When the neighbor (Nick?) said that, he was looking at Chris kinda funny...
You guys are scary. If one of you walked in the interrogation room to talk (or listen) to me, I'd immediately give up and confess. "PLEASE! Not one of THOSE guys!"
In general life is so much easier when we don’t lie, and lead lives that honor God. We get into trouble when we go against this plan. I am glad for people who can seek out the truth, the Bible says we should be as wise as snakes and as gentle as doves .
When Mark describes how he interpreted Chris's stolen tools story as "I'm just an idiot who loses his tools and his family, nothing to see here," it reminds me of the Brian Regan joke Cup Of Dirt. He brings a cup of dirt to the science fair, hoping the teacher will just know he's an idiot and move on, but instead she asks him a bunch of questions about his 'project.' "Just slap an F on there and let me go home."
Marks description there had me laughing! I was thinking something very similar, and Mark worded it so succinctly, it was like a bit of fresh air in this dark chapter.
I feel bad for Nicole too. Imagine going to check on your good friend since she's pregnant and was sick all weekend. Then walking into that horror story, which she obviously suspected something or she wouldn't have called the cops. Chris couldn't have predicted this happening because he doesn't understand true concern for another human being, like Shan'ann's friend.
Don't worry they are with the most merciful Allah we will also bear witness about everything we saw and heard about this situation on the day of judgment
Nicole IS a hero. I’ve spoken to her several times. She is THE MOST selfless, kind, compassionate and caring human. Her life dealt her a TON of horrible cards. After losing Shanann, Bella, Cece and Nico, she had a baby boy born with a heart issue that needed nearly immediate open heart surgery, then endured 12 months of chemo/radiation following a horrendous cancer diagnosis. Such an incredible lady. I feel for her so much. She is UNBELIEVABLY strong and I’m so glad I got to personally tell her so. Hero, 100%. ❤️💕❤️
I totally agree, they are such a incredible group who gel magnificently. I also enjoy their ability to lighten the mood with humor. Their obvious passion for understanding the darkness within some people while never loosing sight of the victim. Bravo and kudos for an excellent high class and authentic podcast.
His mistress Nicole says the word like 5 times in each sentence. You should probably do an episode on her too, but I'm not sure I can take watching her interview again like I did with CW again today!
That documentary blew my mind!! That guy freaks me out! Liked his attorney, hated seeing him age so... :( Michael is a true monster, right up there with Scott Peterson and Chris watts...
Watts wasn't nearly ready for dealing with the authorities. He figured he had at least a few days before they started in on him. But it was hours, instead, thanks to the next-door neighbor. She is the hero of this. Fearless and dedicated to her friend Shanann. Oh, and the neighbor with the cam-footage.
If Shannon's friend Nicole had gone there on her own to ask Chris about Shannon's whereabouts, I think she would've been in serious danger of also being murdered by Chris too...
She has said in TH-cam comments she also purposefully touches his shoulder to "comfort him" after he confessed because she saw it visually made him uncomfortable that she touched him. She was AMAZING.
If Chris was smart he would have channeled his panic into pretending to be worried and panicked for his family , but instead he tries to suppress the panic and come off as extremely calm which ended up making him look even more suspicious.
He almost has more of an argument for being disconnected. Trauma can cause dissociation. Regardless. Most people can't fake emotion well which is how reading behavior works. The brain doesn't match the body. Too much that is left unconscious and uncontrollable
From 1:12:40 to 1:13:14 : it was so nice to see how Chase felt really honored and touched by the compliments of Scott and Greg. I love the respect these guys have for each other.
The fact that Chris NEVER EVER calls his wife by name and most of the time (except closer to the end) he only refers to the children as “the kids) is just bone- chilling. He demonstrates no feeling and no regard for them as living, breathing human beings. His lover was equally repulsed by this when he showed his true colors, and he lied to her, also. When she found out that not only was he not separated, but still quite married, and expecting a third child and more, she was mortified, and had no problem rolling over on him. I don’t condone her behavior, but she was lied to extensively and in some respects was victimized as well. Still though, not calling his wife by name, nor his children (until he had to, nor shedding a single tear or even remotely demonstrating Even the tiniest amount of grief, upset, or any emotion at all just shows what an ice-cold killer he is. The only time he cried was in front of his father, and when he did, he blamed his behavior on his WIFE (!!), and still didn’t call her by name. He is the scariest killer I’ve seen in a long, long time.
I heartily second this motion. Love your process. But let us see a 'seemingly guilty' person's efforts to get out of your snare...Who, it is later definitively innocent. TgT
I think the Mark Carver case would be awesome to see. He and his friend were accused of murdering a young woman while fishing. I saw some of his interrogation, and personally, I don't think he did it
@@tomgcooktown5019 Matt Orchard had an interesting video kinda like that. He did a JCS type video and told you why the suspect was "guilty" and then the twist ending was that the dude was actually innocent all along & exonerated later.
When the female officer (Tammy Lee) said to him, "You'd be a fool to do this lie detector test if you were going to lie. You're a really bad liar." That was a genius move.
An innocent person would be freaking out if their pregnant wife and baby daughters were missing. He was totally calm during the whole ordeal which was a massive red flag.
I would LOVE to see you guys do a deep dive on the cops in this case, and the interrogation. I read that the one bendy cop that Mark liked so much, had to retire after this case, because he developed PTSD. He said it wasn't how he had planned the end of his career, but it is what it is. I also heard that the lady detective also left her job after this case, again because she developed PTSD. The victims aren't only the family in this case.

When I see him smiling and talking about them, just hours after he did that, it really is terrifying what a psychopath he really is. His neighbours and friends were on him like white on rice though! Yeah, and Chris barely looks at it. Your pregnant wife and 2 daughters are missing, and your neighbor has security cam footage that should have you glued to the screen...but you're not even pretending to watch? Dear God, it's hard to comprehend such stupidity and coldness.
Remember him stating he had to strangle his daughters twice, he didn’t do it long enough the first time. That is beyond horrible and I hope he never sees freedom again. Those poor little ones.

Exactly! Does anyone know if she ever did an interview after Chris was sentenced about what her thoughts were and if she knew right away that Chris was guilty?

That neighbor though. He’s a natural lie detector. He deserves a Medal. 👏👏👏 his eyes never even blinked.
If you watch the whole video of the bodycam footage, Watts leaves for a moment or two and the neighbour points out to the officer how out-of-character Watts is behaving. Awesome dude.
Yeah ... he probably heard the arguments .... he knew !
to be fair, Watts was telegraphing his guilt so hard even the most self absorbed could spot it, but i see your point;)
I’ll never get over the commercial on the tv and the image of the fetus on the screen prompting him to tell them she’s pregnant

Yes, I agree. I've seen so much on this case and very few mention that.

Absolutely I put them on when I have insomnia and I am out like a light.
Yes I am too. I think it's just pure shock from hearing four well spoken and smart men talk 😂
The neighbor is a hero and he wasn't fooled for a minute.
I like how he's watching Chris and glancing at the officer like "are you seeing this weird behavior too?"
It starts with her friend. The two of them are real hero's. 🙏

The most valuable thing I have learned from these videos is to shut up and let people talk. It's amazing how well it works!
I was thinking this, too!
It works sooo well
I need to learn that.
Yes, they teach you that when you're going into any social work or counseling field... Embrace the silence!

One thing interesting to me was the fact that he didn’t seem to have any interest in watching the neighbor’s surveillance footage. When they were watching the neighbors video footage, he was standing there watching himself place his dead wife into the back of his truck. After all these years and with a long career of dealing with awful people, to still feel so deeply for the victims is a testament to who he is as a person.
I you can just tell what descent and smart people these 4 are.
Agreed! All four, and guests.

It made me angry that he mentions several missing tools, by name, but never says the names of his children. Grrr
Aye...
THAT made you angry? he killed them, why would he care what their names were?
In the initial fake plea video where he's begging people to find his wife and kids, he only becomes truly animated and interested when someone asks him about the shirt he's wearing. Apparently it is his favorite shirt.
Why should he. That would have been uncharacteristic, he has no love for them, his tools matter though. Don't you get it man.
He obviously didn’t have any natural affection for his kids, or he couldn’t have murdered them and stuck their bodies in barrels of crude.

I second this recommendation! Would love to hear the panel's thoughts on Cindy Watts
I think she is a malignant narcissist and have create a other one with him...but worst because he is dead inside.

That’s a good point, he was very factual about it sooo he obviously wasn’t asleep. There’s no end to his lie.
I am glad you survived and you are getting help. Me too. I sometime think it made me really alert and great at body language.

@@pinup_charmer3348how did she get in and out the house with out being on camera? I’m very interested in your synopsis
@@tanieshawebster5324 She could have been involved with the planning and possibly the disposal of the bodies. We will never know.
I love how eagerly and joyfully the four of you listen to one another. Getting to talk shop with peers in such a specialized field must be so satisfying. It's so fun to watch you!
I agree! Especially this particular case. I believe it's the best of all four of these guys
As a retired law enforcement officer, I can tell Chris was expecting “turn around, put your hands on the wall” and the click on handcuffs. Also, it’s true that you can actually smell their pheromones as you approach the jail.
I was expecting it at any point as well, he was so obviously guilty of something they had a lot of self control to just play it out

Way too calm for his wife and kids to be missing. Not asking the police questions on how they are going to find his family.
I would love to see an analysis of Cindy Watts! She’s a piece of work and definitely a driving force in his terrible crimes ....
Watts never actually had any tools stolen. He came up with that story so he had a reason to talk to the next door neighbour and check out what his camera could see.
For sure.
Yesssssssssss makes sense!!!
Love it!🤣
In general life is so much easier when we don’t lie, and lead lives that honor God. We get into trouble when we go against this plan. I am glad for people who can seek out the truth, the Bible says we should be as wise as snakes and as gentle as doves .
I’d confess even if I didn’t do it!😂
Plan?
This man didn’t suddenly become a monster. He had been for some time.
Exactly. That's who he really is. Whenever he was nice, that was the mask. The true monster was behind the niceness.
When people who have dealt with countless bad guys tell you that this is the worst guy they have ever seen, believe them.
I would find it interesting if you gentlemen could do a breakdown of someone who we know is innocent and their body language
Yes! Please do a breakdown of Tammy Lee interrogating Chris Watts. I found her to be so awesome too.
His soul left his body as he watched himself on video.
The neighbor is the true MVP in this whole matter. What an absolute legend.
Brian Regan is a GENIUS. His Emergency Room bit is my favorite as I work on an ambulance and he is soooo spot on with that scenario.
Hero, 100%. ❤️💕❤️
Ela é uma pessoa especial.❤
How’s she doing now? How’s her son?
I love the professional respect these guys have for each other.
Michael Peterson from The Staircase would be interesting.
Agreed!
That documentary blew my mind!! That guy freaks me out! Liked his attorney, hated seeing him age so... :( Michael is a true monster, right up there with Scott Peterson and Chris watts...
Yes!!
Yesss that would be great
Completely agree!
He was going to stage things or hide things. Like her ring and phone. And put sheets on the beds.
If Shannon's friend Nicole had gone there on her own to ask Chris about Shannon's whereabouts, I think she would've been in serious danger of also being murdered by Chris too...
She brought a male guardian type / little brother or something. I think thats his role actually. She is aware she needs backup
Yes Mark, let's have a part two.
Yes! I’d love to see their analysis of the interrogation at the PD - both of Chris and the technique of the two officers :)
Please do Chris' polygraph examiner/ investigator. She closed in on him so thoughtfully and precisely, he started freaking out in that interrogation.
She has said in TH-cam comments she also purposefully touches his shoulder to "comfort him" after he confessed because she saw it visually made him uncomfortable that she touched him. She was AMAZING.
@@AnxietyRat She was awesome!
@@AnxietyRat where is that video of the polygraph examiner?
@@NancySanchez.ibdr4u Susan Bahns has the full uploads I think
I wish you would analyze the interrogation videos of Nicole Kissinger.
👍🤔😳
If Chris was smart he would have channeled his panic into pretending to be worried and panicked for his family , but instead he tries to suppress the panic and come off as extremely calm which ended up making him look even more suspicious.
He almost has more of an argument for being disconnected. Trauma can cause dissociation. Regardless. Most people can't fake emotion well which is how reading behavior works. The brain doesn't match the body. Too much that is left unconscious and uncontrollable
WHEN did we EVER SEE anyone leave one hand on their head while messing with something with the other? NEVER. that’s when.
From 1:12:40 to 1:13:14 : it was so nice to see how Chase felt really honored and touched by the compliments of Scott and Greg. I love the respect these guys have for each other.
Agree. It's really sweet. And they never act as if they're in competition w each other.
Would love to see you guys analyze an innocent person being interviewed or questioned in a similar situation.
I heartily second this motion. Love your process. But let us see a 'seemingly guilty' person's efforts to get out of your snare...Who, it is later definitively innocent. TgT
Yes!!!!
Do a breakdown of the interrogation. The officers are so good.
When the female officer (Tammy Lee) said to him, "You'd be a fool to do this lie detector test if you were going to lie. You're a really bad liar." That was a genius move.
@@petertreid i loved when she said that 😂
An innocent person would be freaking out if their pregnant wife and baby daughters were missing. He was totally calm during the whole ordeal which was a massive red flag.
Can you imagine being the kids of these four? They’re so screwed; they aren’t getting away with anything.
I thought about that too 😂 You’d never get away with spilling your chocolate milk
LETS GO. Scott I appreciate the early upload! Here’s to a better week.
I also want to say Scott THANK YOU for responding to us behaviour panelists!
Have you been watching Sonny cook? That dude can cook!
Wow they r heros
@@lisastephens864 It must have been really traumatizing for anyone involved, who had to witness those babies being taken out of those oil tanks. I read somewhere that he cut the head oof Bella, because her head wouldn't fit thru the hatch, as it was only 8" across. When I see him smiling and talking about them, just hours after he did that, it really is terrifying what a psychopath he really is. His neighbours and friends were on him like white on rice though! He never even got the chance to get rid of her phone and purse!
David Baumhover. It affected him so much he couldn’t leave his own home because every time he saw little girls Bella & Cece’s age it would bring it all back to him. Poor guy.
@@investigator77 no. Their bodies were intact except for skin slippage caused by decomposition. You can read their autopsy reports online.
@@LanaKay777 I've read them, but when I read about the skin of their hands degloving, with their little fingernails attached, it was very hard to take.
He tries really hard not to make eye contact with his neighbor. His neighbor is on to him and knows that something is terribly wrong 💔🌹💔🌹💔
This is my new favorite channel on TH-cam. I can not get enough of listening to these guys talk body language
Thank you guys! I would love for you to analyze the girlfriend, Nicole Kessinger.
I like how the neighbor is watching Chris and not the TV.
People be aware that your neighbors are more observant then you think!
Did yall see Chris at the start of the video? I swear I could hear him go, "F*#$!" to himself as he realized he'd forgotten his neighbor's camera! 🤣🙃😂
Yeah, and Chris barely looks at it. Your pregnant wife and 2 daughters are missing, and your neighbor has security cam footage that should have you glued to the screen...but you're not even pretending to watch? Dear God, it's hard to comprehend such stupidity and coldness.
Yes the neighbor Nate and Shanann's friend Nikole were instrumental in this investigation!
@@cgreen399 oh yes and I'm happy about that!
Remember him stating he had to strangle his daughters twice, he didn’t do it long enough the first time. That is beyond horrible and I hope he never sees freedom again. Those poor little ones.
I watched the Netflix doc and it will always stay with me. It was absolutely heartbreaking. Poor little girls, unborn child and mother.
