IIT Madras' home-grown e-bike

- Pi Beam, an IIT Madras-Incubated start-up, has recently launched PiMo. It is one of the few EVs in the local market that is almost completely made in India and does'nt require a license or registration.
The e-bike is priced at Rs. 30,000 and offers 50 kms on a single charge at a top speed of 25 kmph.

Because how can we get more energy ,,,, the amount of energy that will stored by dynamo the same amount of energy will reduce from pre charged battery & most of all if its possible then how we can't get more and more energy from little bit amount of energy ,,,

There are a lot of invensions which is easily done by a boy in village in our Bihar ,,,, but just bcoz of our education system we can't get such appreciations 😔😔😔😔

ikr the population of rural India has lots of talent and innovative ideas but because of lack of education and ignorance by the "educated" society they don't get discovered which is a sad reality of our country :(

Degrees, the way they are obtained, hardly helps anyone except to gain eligibility to sit for competitive exams for jobs, but not creative work.
Michael Faraday would never have succeeded in such a scenario.

I want give a suggestion use solar small plate so the it will get automatically charged when you are riding...
V 2.0 will include it

it will increase price and cannot get that much electricity
How could you arrange on it , it becomes more bulky and therefore reduce speed of vehicle

Price should be between 15-20 k... peddles add advantage to it.
30k is indeed a bit pricy particularly for this range. Not saying the range is not enough but it's not long enough to avoid range anxiety and when battery capacity drops it will not be enough to get to neighbouring city just one way. If the price was lower this range would be justifiable.
Boss tvs XL is 50,000rupees on road 30,000 is reasonable

Congratulation to all persons involved in developing this E- bike. It's cost with disc breaks n good battery is very reasonable. In every innovation, there remains scope of further improvements. I suggest it should have pedalling system with recharging batteries. Hope , the concerned persons will take note of my suggestion.
Manufacturers if you are reading it, please design a model which can fit in Bag too

Looking at the level of innovation happening, can it be possible for vehicles/cycles to run on solar energy using solar panel ?
Nice idea.. It should also have a space/ basket to keep few materials. It will serve the purpose of a scooty then for regular works.
Also price should be affordable to all so that maximum people can purchase and help to save environment.

A good strart! With advances in battery technology, this startup should aim for a range upto 100kms and a max speed of 35-40 kmph.
Anything over 25kmph would require registration and a lot of paperwork, the rider will also require a licence.
It should have panels too, when battery gets discharged, what do you think. Do rply

It would be good if you added support wheels in front and back for safety and ease of balance for elderly people.
I am also made Electric Cart Electric Loader with 600kg capacity one time charging 100km mileage ... no espousing... because made with a poor family... useful for street food, all kind of street shop, pizza shop...

In my BSA cycle I used to go somewhere in 25-30 km/h speed so my averege is almost 28 km/h. So if the maximum speed of this cycle is 35 km/h, I will think to buy that.
I think this cycle will improve in few months.

We have heard so many items like this in news by great institutions but these are samples item with out sponsor became passing subjects for the students.
