This week, I am finally revealing the NEW aquascape for the Waterbox Peninsula 25. I wasn't too satisfied with my own aquascape, so I decided to get the guys from Living Reefs to help me with the design. The rockscape was shipped to my house in a well-packaged box. Even though the base cracked during shipping, I am really happy with the result.
Moreover, I am also setting up the light for this tank - AI Prime 16HD Reef! I have heard great reviews about this light and wanted to try it out for myself.
So far, I am really happy with the light and the tank is coming together really nicely. The cycling phase is now completed and I can't wait to start adding livestock to it!

Love the new scape man. I totally understand not liking your first scape. Sometimes no matter how hard I try I don't like my scape sometimes just because I made it. But, then I see other people's scape I thinks it looks great even though they may think it's ugly. Your first scape was pretty amazing brother! The 2nd one is just insane!

@@BlueReefTank just wondering.. have you had any issues with keeping bioballs in your thank (cube 20) even if you have corals in there? i heard that bioballs are useful with fish only and they could affect corals i’ll be glad i you could give me some tips
@@cristianmorales7827 I haven't had any issue with the bio balls to this day. My corals seem fine 🤨
@@BlueReefTank thank you for answering. i was just curious because idk if you have seen the waterbox youtube channel they just released a new video about how to set up a cube 20 and they did mention that it is not recommended to use bioballs when having corals in your tank..

I would love to see a longnose hawkfish (Oxycirrhites typus) house that tank! It's a beautiful fish with great personality:) they can be a little grumpy against other fish but you seem to be very good at managing such behaviour. And you also seem to keep your fish well fed so any eventual aggression against corals will most likely not be a problem at all.
The sailfin blenny (Salarias fasciatus) is just beautiful, interesting and cute. It is I believe pretty easy to care for and fairly cheap. I love blennys.
A shrimp and shrimp-goby symbiosis would be awesome too:P

Terrific scape, I had a unique scape built for my water box 20. I am on month five now and I am seeing some spots of coraline.

I’ve decided to use this tank for dwarf seahorses. Looks good mate. Don’t worry about scaping! I just put rock in and let nature scape it lol
you're not wrong there. Once you put corals etc in the tank, you can't really see the original scape anyway haha

I love this scape! 100x better than my own scape 😅 Congrats on your new tank! I had mine sitting on Ikea table that I reinforced with a couple more legs. I don't want to recommend it to anyone as they're not rated for the tank

How long did it take for this tank to be fully cycled? Did you have to add anything else to the tank throughout the process before it was fully cycled other than what you added at initial setup? Very new to the hobby so I appreciate the insight!
I think it took roughly 2-3 weeks for it to be fully cycled. I am just following dr.Tim's guide and nothing else :)
what's your feedback after a few months about the AI prime 16 on the PM20 ?
How does it not tip over ? Is the base that strong?

Thanks mate! Living Reefs is an Australian based company so I don't think they will ship to the US (at least for now). Hope you can find someone locally that can make some scape for you :)

Did you pour the salt in to the water in the tank instead of pre mixing?
I only do that when there's no livestock in the tank 🙂

Yeah they don't come with lid and I am planning to make a video about how to make the lid 🙂

@@BlueReefTank Yeah I have lots in my tank I am currently up to 5 or 6 at the moment. One is stinging the base of one of my acros so just waiting for a service and I will remove them.
@@BlueReefTank Yeah I have heaps. One is stinging my acros base at the moment. I am simply waiting for my Waterbox P25 to arrive and then I will start the cycle on that and start to move them over as they become lose or when I do my next major service on the larger tank and drain enough water to be able to remove the rockwork with them on it.

Yes, I still have him in my WB 20 - I feed him a range of food (frozen food, white worms and pellets). He basically eats anything.
Is it okay to change the entire aquascape while cycling?
I wouldn't recommend it because the bacteria usually sticks to surface like rocks, sand, glass etc. so if you took out the rock, it will slow down the cycle.

I would say that yes but to be sure, try to get the one from your LFS that's specifically for reef tank. I know that BRS sells them

Deez Nuts is right! I only have three nano tanks and I was just replacing my old scape with the new one 😁
I think you could have built that scape yourself, you have the right kind of rocks, you just need a base rock and the cut or shelf rock. The super glue and aragonite rock sand are easily put together and taken apart if you want to stop and change it. It is just building a tree really, if you don’t like a branch, you take it off and if you want a branch, you add one on.

Your aquascape was beautiful before, no one will be perfectly happy with something they did themselves because they think off all the errors, when you buy something from someone else you don't see the errors and think it's better than what you can create. All in all just makes or buy what makes you happy. Also please for the love of God or who ever you call your maker put some support under that bridge 🙏
