100% you can be a lazy reefer!!! Before I moved, I had a 6x2x45 with 4x1x1 sump and I didn't do a water change for over a year! Nitrates sat at 5, Phosphates sat at barely detectable with Hannah test kit. All I did was use an auto topoff for freshwater and an auto doser for trace elements. The sump had 4 large marine pure cubes, Skimmer and synthetic wool for mechanical filtration.
Coming from being a freshwater aquarium hobbyist this was very good and well explained! I still think I’m too comfortable with my plants and freshwater to make the jump to try salt and corals, love the look though and fish choices with salt
I was the same way for years and wanted better looking fish options tried discus at first was horrible but I've had my reef about 6 months now and actually find the maintenance and upkeep alot easier, I don't have to do much besides check salinity and change fleece and wipe algae... no crazy trimming and delicate pruning and not disturbing substrate...I love it I'll never go back...it does cost more .
Great video
thanks man
Very instructive video
thank you

Another good example to learn
This balance is the absolute key to long term enjoyment and success with this hobby.

I actually tried one time freshwater plant and shrimp tank. It didn't go well. So, I believe you got enough skills to jump into saltwater.
Thank you for making this video. Let’s not make this hobby so complicated.
Right. So more can join us.
Great video. Thanks for putting it in honest terms and no real advertising for products
