- in this video I made a forest closed terrarium rain garden in a glass tank.
the main concept of this project is to bring nature home in smaller scales.
having such miniature landscapes not only add beauty to your living scapes, also the visual effects like natural light or FLOWING water, help reduces stress levels and improve moods.
Dimensions of tank is L×22 W×22 H×32 cm

The rainfall terrarium has just passed 49 days, here's an update and maintenance video th-cam.com/video/SgN46C2ozZU/w-d-xo.html
Weird sound made video unwatchable you need a good mic man
i didn't hear any weird sound @@kane2440

😊😊😊
how do you add those lights bro
I could stare at that for hours. It’s like a little window into a rainforest. Awesome work
But no bugs!! 😂
I've always been fond of these creations, and I've always loved looking at these almost miniature like stuff with little colourful fishes in it!!!
@Tropicalpisces Bugs are the key of the life in rainforest.
Hello Trump
It'd be lovely to see someone build a half rainy humidity tank for a rainforest frog species. I think they'd love it, and honestly, I'd love watching them go in their little habitat.
This looks amazing :)
The rain effect would create too much humidity and kill the frogs, but it's a cool idea. You can have timed "rain" via a programmable misting system, but that only lasts a few minutes a day; anything beyond that would be fatal for the frogs
@@michaelgeorge4643 Thank you for this info! I had no clue!
@@michaelgeorge4643 Even if the environment was a lot bigger?
@@michaelgeorge4643!! even species that live in that rainforest environment? interesting :0
@@ienjoymeth Frogs breathe through their skin, so even though they can tolerate very high humidity they cannot be soaked in water, otherwise they will drown. Even in the rainforest the rain lets up, and the environment is huge and has airflow, in a closed tank there's no airflow so essentially the frog would suffocate unless you had a separate rain chamber but that kinda defeats the purpose
Man, this guy knows exactly what his viewers want. The chill music and vibe, simple texts on screen. No distracting, loud, techno beat in the back like the other channels or weird generic and loud beats 😂
I love this. Great job man. This is the kind of video I enjoy watching in the morning. Very relaxing.
I personally find the very loud object sounds very uncomfortable, but to each their own.
Bro sound is unbearable.
😖
the rock chips being scooped at 2:00 might have been the loudest thing ive ever heard in my life
😂😂😂@@crankysconga
I'd love to see an update on this after an year maybe, if you decide to keep it
The update is that all the mud walls he made fell off because it was stuck to glass and everything fell apart.
@@Riddlemethiseveryone As a matter of fact, if you actually read the description, there's an update video.
You either have a very loose definition of facts, or the description has changed.
However, the update is available on the channel despite not being in the description... anymore?
Guess he meant. Pinned comment
This is one of the top 10 most creative ideas. I love every part of it.
Thank you
Dont think am opposing the statement.but after few hrs the class will seems like cloudy
Leaving the comment here to remind myself to make one .
Not really creative as such, Serpa Design did this years ago. It's been copied down to the colour of the capping pieces
That looks amazing. My only concern would be you'd have to dismantle the whole thing if the pump needed cleaning or failed, so I'd may build a small enclosure for it so it could be removed if necessary. Apart from that, this would look great on the unit in my bedroom... 😀
Well to be fair, it's kinda hard to mess these things up and most terrariums still have life years after it was made.
Life really does find a way
2:16 ah, sweet peaceful music… then CRUNNNCH of rocks hehe
Wow… this reminded me of my childhood in the Philippines when during the rainy dais we would play under the rain and at times we would just be mesmerised by the vegetation around us being watered by the rain.
I feel you my man, nature is truly amazing to behold and it's our duty to protect it :)
@@giorgospapoutsakis5271 facts, sad part is, when i came back to the philippines few years ago after being away for 10 years, that part of my town where the vegetation was has been torn down for a mall, made me super sad. That’s why this video brings me a lot of emotions
Reading in an ambience with terrarium rain garden sounds, soft music & dim lights already feels relaxing...It's really beautiful!
Feels like we found a new world and everyone friendly with Nature🌿🍃
I've just completely by random came across this video and found it to be so relaxing for some reason, I was mesmerised. I'm inspired to try ot myself. Not as good as this one obviously but looked like a therapeutic thing to do
i can sit there and spend all day looking at it
but where is the narration in god's voice ?
You literally created magic and gave birth to a whole new biome. Immense pleasure I got from watching your godly work 😮❤
Thank you so much
Great work! The soil adheres very well to the glass walls. Did you add any plasticizer or glue to it? Or cocopeat is enough for it?
Beautiful, thank you for sharing.
This is one of the most beautiful terrariums I've seen on here, and I love the style of the video. Very relaxing to watch. Thanks for sharing
Thank you
I am a viewer from Korea! I also make vivariums and terrariums as a hobby, and your work is a great inspiration to me. I was very impressed watching it. I would like to express my deepest gratitude. I have one question. When making the rain fall system installed at the top, what size of hole was used? I tried creating a similar system, but the water didn't fall like rain, it just ran down.
Thank you for the super thanks, I really appreciate it.
I used 1.5mm bit to make holes.
If your drip trays hole is large and water's running down, a simple solution for that is, cut 1.5 or 2 mm cotton cord in 2 CM and insert it in each holes, glue the one end on drip tray, water will fall like rain. Cotton cord should be 1mm thinner than the size of your drip trays hole
This looks so relaxing building something that brings life to the world
Best video to watch when hungover
you dont even undertand how much i would love a step by step tutorial looks amazing!
Thank you so much
Me 2
Looks easy to build especially for beginner like me. Can't wait to start this small project of mine.
Thank you
@@langdiycan i have a list of the plants,bro😂
i take back my words xD ITS HARD!! BUT I MANAGE TO CREATE ONE USING 30CM CUBE AQUARIUM TANK.
Lmao haha, good work
A stone Buddha or other statue in the center would be really cool, over time it would collect moss and start to age.
Like a statue from a forgotten time left in a rainforest
After all this... Imagine finding out pump is not working 😅
That would be an epic mess😅
@@langdiy on that subject, what pump do you use ? Is there a brand you prefer? This is my biggest worry about getting into this 😅 especially bc I’ve dealt with many cat water fountain pumps that never last two weeks :(
I use submersible aqua pump. Try vivosun brand
😂😂😂
You can make separate chamber for pump so that you can fix the pump without dismantling everything right!!?
I Love it. Like a little forest at Home ❤
Thanks for making me entertained at 1am
This might be the most peaceful thing I have looked at in a long time. Thanks!
The relaxing music mixed with the rocks being scooped
I knowww it was so loud lmao
this should be the intended way of playing god
I love this comment. Let us build and grow and create with our hands, not tear things down!
Обалденно. Круто. Удачи тебе во всём.
No matters what a bad day I could have had, I watch your video and I am lost in the beauty and calm of this spectacular natural landscape. What a dream! Love it! Thanks❤
Seeing you build it from scratch is beautiful the final result is amazing. Guess i found a new hobby ...thanks !
This video make cry…. It’s so peaceful and calm 🥺
Calming n relaxing ❤
This is so relaxing to watch
So super beautiful
Thanks
Very well made! Thoroughly enjoyed watching the process!
I'm always a fan of terrarium customization
This is art in purest form 👍
I would like to have a room entirely like this😫 moist and damped (no insects) with dark and light places 😍 and a hammock / bench
Just WOW!!! Never seen anything like this!!!! Amazing Piece of Art!!!
Thank you
yeah wow I could watch that all day long
Interesting rain trick
Boże świetne!!!
It was wonderful to see, love the setup of tank.
Genius! I love it, inspired me to do one on the top part of an aquarium
This has to be one of the most satisfying and stunning builds I've seen. Subscribing for sure. I'm still new to the genre so it would be cool to get the names of plants listed as you show them. You make absolutley quality content, keep at it. ❤
Thank you so much,
names of plants-
1 hypnum miss
2 begonia grandis
3 selaginella
4 bladder ferns
5 fern moss
Thank you so much for this video! I think you may have sparked a new hobby interest for me.
I sleep with rain asmr playing lightly so if I had this, it’ll definitely be next to my bed
Wow, what an excellent idea and so simply executed. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you
Amazing work! You made it look so easy 👍
Thank you
Amazing fair play 👌
it's so wonderful.. brilliant
I absolutely love the wood you used for the frame. Outstanding work.
EDIT: I just saw your update video, so I'll remove that question from my comment. Looking forward to seeing more great things from you and your channel.

What an art😍 Could not have been better than this👍 This small video but long thought process resulted in such an artifact.Hats off🙌
Btw what moss exactly did you use brother?
Thank you so much
I used hypnum moss and fern moss
Wow you must be waking up with surprises everyday wow man
Very beautiful and I thought it would be some mist, didn’t expected actual drops. But would this last without airflows in such a small compartment?
Omg it’s so so beautiful ❤❤❤
Thank you so much😊
@@langdiy my pleasure 🤍😇
I always wonder if with these terrariums they actually "hold". Like, it looks amazing -- does it still look great after a few months?

@@langdiy nice terrarium but i wonder how can we maintenance it bro?
How is the algae buildup on the top where your rain device is located, would you be able to showcase the mechanics of the flow? I'll check out the updated maintenance video also, beautiful work!
This is a pieace of ART... Awesome
just wondering if the glass on the side of the tank will be able to hold all the soil?
Incredible work, basically nature in a small aquarium. Serious skills. I bet this water tastes good..
Thank you so much
Beautiful. Music was perfect.
Great work!
Fantastic video, I’m captured by everything about this and now want to recreate my own. I have 3 questions for you:
1) The black soil + compost + coco peat mixture, what were the ratios for each part used in your mix?
2) Where did you acquire the small plants for this build and have they been successful?
3) If you were to build this again, would you do anything different? If so, what would you change?
1) black soil 70% compost and cocopeat 30%
2) aquarium store and nursery. small plants are growing well,
3) if I build similar setup again, I'll make one with a easily removable pump for easy maintenance.
@@langdiy I also have 3 questions: 1) Where would you put the pump to make it easily removable? 2) How often would you need to do this kind of maintenance?
3) Is the maintenance to replace the pump entirely or is it for a different reason?
I would like to add a minor yet important detail..... Please check the pump is working before you start the build up! 😃
Your work is amazing! I’m trying to replicate this project, what kind of black soil did you use? I don’t want to risk getting the wrong one and having it not being able to stick on the wall.
Thank you
It's a normal black soil without any sand mixtures, you can purchase it from plants nursery shops or any online stores
Just wonderful. 😊
Very cool. I would have made the top border wider to cover where the 'rain' comes from.
beautiful! how do you keep the drip tray from falling in? tack glue in place?
Thank you, drip tray is glued in place
This is so lovely and relaxing! How much upkeep does it require? Ps: you could totally make this into a business, either personally making them, or selling the aquariums with all the necessities. I personally think the first option would be easier to start and you can charge more because of your time and materials and effort- but above all else because it is ART..and meditative and one of a kind!
this is the best DIY video i ever seen , simple , easy , no loud noise , relaxing , and now i want to build 2 , one for me and one for my friend , thank you for this great video
Thank you so much
@@langdiy no , thank you , your videos are what ive been searching for , a plant in your house you dont need to look for always , doesnt bring bugs , and its real is what all people want
😊
top of 20 terrariums ever made
Thank you so much
Beautiful project, I am inspired to make it myself! I cannot find a suitable glass tank online, can you supply a link to where you got the one you used? I also cannot find the light that you used. Please, could you supply a link to that as well?
Thank you, actually I too couldn't find a suitable tank for this project, so i bought a pieces of glass from local glass store and glued it using silicone glue. Since I purchased my light from aquarium stores, I couldn't find exact one that i used in online, but here's similar one www.amazon.com/Yekavo-Aquarium-Spectrum-Terrarium-Landscape/dp/B0BMP81NP3/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?crid=2FSAWXZDVZ506&keywords=terrarium+lights&qid=1686449553&sprefix=terrarium+lights%2Caps%2C621&sr=8-15#

❤ I've been following you since you started and I recognize that every time you grow with your art, congratulations
I remember your every comments😊
Having a viewer like you is truly a blessing
❤Thank you so much
wish you wouldve put plant names on screen.
Thank you for the video!
But isnt it bad for the leaves to be wet constantly? Cant you get fungus growth because of limited Airflow?
These are moisture loving plants, I keep the pump run for only about 1or 3 hours a day. Drip tray holes provides enough airflow
hi lang diy
What proportions do you use
for the mixture of soil stuck on the wall so that it does not fall? thanks
I also have the same question!
@@edgarblumenfeld9479 Same question .
So pretty. gj
Thank you for this beautiful video 🙏
Hello, I would like to know how do you make the lighting of this beautiful project? Thank you.
I placed a terrarium light on the top cover
I luv that, and it’s a good project diy I would luv to have a kit like that so I can make beautiful and relaxing
Very beautiful!
I'll soon post an update of this build on my Instagram acc instagram.com/lang_diy/
Thoroughly enjoyed this video alobg with my son .. Please post the update here as well .. Would love to see the progress & survival of this setup.
Thank you for watching🙂 I'll post an update here as well
Awesome job!❤️
Beautiful terrarium❤
Beautiful terrarium, but how can we maintenance it?
How does the wall stay up without falling?
What is the ratio for soil, compost and peet moss?
And also, what moss plant are you using for the wall please. Thank you.
For the wall I used Hypnum moss. The soil mixture sticks very well, so it won't fall.
Ratio of mixture is- Blacksoil 70% compost and cocopeat is 30% thank you
Do you realise the filter wool will eventually clog up? So this isn't a long-term build.
So peaceful and informative video.. ❤
