    That's a good tip on the timing of the maintenance. I always upset my corals. The best step by step video for weekly maintenance. 👌 So glad I started with the Tropic Marin Pro Salt, its so good.

    Tropic Marin is the BEST. I JUST PICKED UP 3 buckets because it’s real hard to find in America ! Although you should mix your salt the night before !

    • @BeardedReef
      @BeardedReef  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I love it, its easy to get here in the UK,
      from everything I've read and from testing it myself it mixes fully in around around 20mins, I leave mines a further 30mins after that then add it and it works perfectly.

    Hi Ross,
    Enjoying the videos 👍🏽
    I have the peninsula 25. When you do the water change, have you thought about just attaching some tubing to the pump in the bucket of new salt water and pumping it back in rather than scooping in with the jug?

    • @BeardedReef
      @BeardedReef  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello mate, thank you, yeah thats how I used to do it mate but the little pump took a long time so I found it quicker just to do it with the jug, some people will find the pump easier tho! 👍

      Thank you, im not just saying this because they sponsor me but I honestly do love it, its a brilliant unit, well made, priced really well, customer service is brilliant, ive had no issues with mines at all, it makes the water perfectly and is 0 TDS every time, cant ask for any more than that, and like I've said in the video you get 10% off when you use my code, also it's free delivery too, I certainly wouldn't buy another brand! Hope that helps, if you have any questions at all just let me know! You can reach me on Instagram! 👍

    Hi Ross, Could'nt see from the vid, Did you remember to switch the wavemaker off before lowering the water below it? Or does the water not go below it?

    • @BeardedReef
      @BeardedReef  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I leave the wavemaker on to keep some flow in the tank, the water level doesn't go down to the wavemaker so it stays on all the time.

    Hello. Didn't you have problems with the water level in chamber 3 where the pump is . I changed the socks because was getting dirty so quick. And was blocking the flow water to the other chambers. I put some floss just little bit and after one day is the same. In the chamber 3 where the pump is sitting is no enough water . The water pump is on half power . What else could I do ?

    That filter floss you use would you recommend because im using blue bonded filter pads and cutting them but it keeps clogging up the first chamber and the ato is going crazy, and i think the filter floss is an issue?

    • @BeardedReef
