    So I just found this video, and I deal with tdi and tds on a daily basis (the raw material) and this is crazy to me that this video needs to be here. Hope that everyone handling this material is safe

    Maybe you can do a video on what happens to the painter's when the shop doesn't change the booth filters when they get clogged.

      Hi Steve, yes sounds a great idea we'll put it on our list. Knowing when to change your filters is as important as putting them in , in the first place! If you ever buy from us let us know in the order notes and we'll give you some free loyalty points as thanks for the suggestion. KR Ultrimax

      Hi yes even though its waterbased as a Pu 2k paint it will still contain Iso just not nearly as much as the comparable solvent version.

    I’m a welder for a large steel fab uk company I often smell the paint fumes in my air fed welding screen I get head aches sore throat they tell us it’s in guide line done test with air monitors I’m off with chest infection is that a coincidence

    • @ultrimaxcoatingsltd
      @ultrimaxcoatingsltd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi David, depending on your system here we would suggest that if you are getting paint fumes in your air line you need to change your belt based filter or your wall (attached to the main system) filter. Paint fumes normally indicate that the system isn't filtering the nasty microbes and particles out for the clean air system. When you smell paint in the air line you don't want to continue using it. Hope the chest infection improves and although we could never say that is a direct result of your job role its definitely worth sorting that airline issue to ensure future health problems don't make your chest infection worse.

    • @ultrimaxcoatingsltd
      @ultrimaxcoatingsltd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@davidpierce7318 ah ok well even more so that is understandable. A battery air fed back is only pulling in air from your surroundings ie: directly around your body so its understandable that you will pull atmospheric smells from around your mask (ie it is pulling air directly around your body in the location you are ) so if the paint is in the same location as your body then you pull those smells in too. To have no smells in your mask and for safety an airfed system where air is pulled from an external fresh air source is recommended (especially if you have 2k paint in your vicinity)

    3M make it very clear. When using isocyanates, ONLY a supplied air respirator can be used to provide adequate protection. 3M do not recommend using any cartridge style respirator when exposed to isocyanates. Again, that's from 3M.

    Thanks for this video, I just over this weekend sprayed a small amount of 2k clear (about 5ml) for a model I was painting, but when looking away from the booth the room I was in was cloudy.
    I was wearing a respirator, window open, air filter on and spray booth on but I fear I may have started something. I've had a dry-ish throat since the spraying day.
    A doctors call might be in order 😐

      if in doubt always get a medical professionals opinion Kurtis. Some people are allergic to certain chemicals within paints in the same way you can have an allergy to peanuts etc so its best to get a test done early rather than risk your lungs ...they are pretty crucial to how you work !
