bmw used to make some of the most beautiful modern coupes and the m4 cs is probably the pinacle. I would rank it amongst the best from aston martin and porsche. It so sad to see the deriction they are going with their design lnguage right now. Such a departure from those gorgeous designs of the previous gen bmws. They looked aggressive and sporty yet stylish and elegant.
To be honest, as cool as it would be if the F80 M3 CS/F82 M4 CS had manual transmissions, part of me believes that, like a lot of BMW manual gearboxes, they feel a bit rubbery and not as precise as they could be. Of course, that all depends on what generation of M cars you're talking about. But as of late, I've been hearing that BMW's manual gearboxes are not the greatest. Although, the G80/G82 M3 and M4's manual gearbox is pretty solid. Right now, it feels like BMWs are at their best when they have an automatic gearbox.
The Manuals of BMW are very peculair. Specialy in the 90s and early 00s in my own experience. I found out that the Clutch is connected to a Rubber (literaly) and it is there to reduce wear on the gearbox. But the problem is an imprecise feeling of the clutch and i think there is more wear because you have to play more with the clutch. I know some people who removed it and have now a great experience. i will be changing my gearbox from my e46 soon and remove the rubber as well...
@@fenrirslip I just researched again. The name of this thing is clutch delay valve. Yeah its funny, stupid and sad at the same time. The fixes are really simple. Remove it or buy a customized version of this component.
Can confirm…. I have one in San Marino blue👌 Amazing to drive, 615bhp, 700 newton metres of torque….. & lots of fun!👌 Just to put you straight tho…. The car was only made for one year, from 2017/18…. There is NO 2020 car!!
Absolute dream car of mine, and probably my favorite modern BMW design. Also, these don’t have any artificial audio, as the Active Sound Design module is removed from the factory. They also have a lot less noise insulation, which is why the sound is so good from inside the cabin.
The BMW e46 M3 is the most beautiful BMW ever made. The 8 series e31 comes very close. The TRUTH is many of these awesome vehicles, "not just BMW's", have to be seen in real life to be truly appreciated. Because NO CAMERA can catch all the true proportions of these incredible machines in REAL LIFE. I have owned 2 of the best built e46 M3's in Cali, and I have close friends who own absolutely stunning perfect collector type examples of e31's. If you are in the market for a nice BMW be sure to advise with a professional so you can acquire the the best "spec" car regardless of BMW model or BMW generation.
It is pretty much subjective which one is the best BMW ever made, if we are talking about exterior design and interior design for me BMW F32 or F82 are the best-looking BMW's ever made. E92 is pretty close, G80/82 is also looking very great. Not saying that E46 is bad-looking, back in time, it was an extremely well-looking car. But it is not even close to the modern design.
I own a 2018 CS in San Marino blue, and the amount of people who have tried to buy it is ridiculous. I've got the massive Carbon Ceramic brakes option, extended interior carbon, and replaced that stupid fat steering wheel with the carbon / alcantara M Performance option. Put it in Sport Plus and cane it under every bridge you can find.
No it is not. The new M4 CS is a thousand times better looking. I freaking dig that front nose and the overall look. So much more aggressive than this 2 door German taxi cab. The F80 look is quite out-dated. Stop the hate on the G80/82.

The M4CS was only made in 2019-2020 model years. The M3CS was only made for the 2018 model year. A simply search on auto trader will prove that.

Totally agree, the f80s already look so dated, and to me just look like “normal” cars. Nothing about it screams sports car, unlike the new g80s.
