excuse me with all my respect for him that car is obviously build for drift and power and obviously the driver doesn't like drifting (doesn't mean he can't), but... wet road, slippy tires.. perfect combination to drift that monster with minimum heat damages.

Maurizio Arrivabene I said this, because the M4 is the "successor" of the M3 and the M3 had one. But BMW didn't give the M4 the same engine, so they gave it a straight six.

I just don't get it. They removed the central armrest to save about 5-8 kilos but they still keep the elecric seats which surely add about 20 kilos each. I mean so much weight saving materials and then this shit. It's pointless. Except that it is an awesome car. Some extra grip could have been useful though.

electric motors add 5kg to each seat-checked on realoem. Same on e9x seats, the only seats that are lighter and comfortable are recaro cs and save only 7-10kg
i really hope they fix the exhaust problem with the next generation m3/m4 . but for now i might get the m2 or a Shelby gt350

I have been looking at M4 Competition and M4 CS and the conclusion I came to is that it does not make sense to buy the CS over the M4 Competition - the weight saving is a joke considering what you'll loose
1) no room to store your stuff
2) very questionable door panels without armrest and speakers
3) single zone climate control even though all the solenoids that allow to control temperature on both sides are still in place
4) no comfort access - from what I gather this is due to the removal of keyless go antennas which is.... Stupid
5) no actual improvements in the undercarriage or suspension.
My conclusion is that it makes more sense to buy well optioned M4 Competition +
1) Aftermarket CF GTS hood
2) CS Steering wheel
3) CS CF Front splitter, rear diffusers, side skirts and trunk lip (quite a few kits available)
4) GTS style "OLED look" taillights (only real difference between M4 vs CS)
5) crank hub fix, Catless DP, Active Autowerke resonated equal length midpipe, charge pipes, intake, cooler, Flex Fuel Kit, XHP flash and BM3/MHD.
Cheaper than CS, but looks as nice, sounds much better and goes like a rocket
I owned a 18 M4 Comp and now have a 19 M4cs and I can tell you it was worth the upgrade in every way. Owning and driving the Cs makes me forget I ever owned the competition.

They already had a spoiler like this before the Giulia came out, it was just a bit smaller.
Latvietis96 Both Alfa and BMW have shared similar lines since their beggining. Look at the 2002 and the Giulia GTA.
Kaisuke971 i remember the spoiler on the old M5 and others but not with this cat ears design.
There was an M Performance lip spoiler with that design when the M4 came out. The reason why it has that shape is to follow the line of the double bubble roof and boot lid, unlike on the Alfa where it seems to be just for show. You'll see that the M4 GTS and M Performance rear wings also have that lower mid section, for that same reason.
