Absolutely love it. Hoping to upgrade to an f82 one day from an f36 gran coupe. I actually enjoy the raspy-ness of the exhaust. And I feel like the f chassis interior would be timeless if it had brighter and more ambient lighting color choices. Love the review man, keep it up ✌️
I own a non CS M4. The S55 is an amazing motor. I don't really mind the rasp. A midpipe or even high flow resonators help with that. I like to think of it as a unique sound. You know it's an F8X. Minus all the burbles people do, that can be a bit much haha.
I have an m4 gts and it’s an animal! I got it just before the car market got crazy so it was a relative bargain at the time. I agree the m4 cs is a good halfway between a normal M4 and a full on gts especially if you’re looking to daily it the gts suspension is extremely stiff.
With respect, all CS’s should have came with Carbon Ceramic Brakes. I understand why they didn’t included them due to costs, but they really should have.
I have the CS in San Marino blue, matching M4 comp cab…. Had the CS mapped at DMS, running 600bhp & 700 newton metres of torque….its fun! Had the map installed in the cab👌 Matched all the parts off the CS to the cab, the pair parked together are amazing!!👌 GTS is great & the prices have plummeted…..to 80/90K now here in the UK so might be a time to pick one up & add to the collection 👌
Great video although I must disagree with respects to the analog gauges I believe most enthusiasts whom I believe is the target market for these models prefer analog that feeling of engagement that so many new cars lack I think it’s what keep Porsche so desirable but at the end of the day you just Can’t please every buyer which is why I think the CS models attract only the hardcore bmw enthusiast
Also i dont think these cars will come down in value as much as you indicated in the video, as there are only 3000 examples of the m4 cs worldwide. Sooner or later this car should become a collector's car just as how the m4 gts values have been rising these days, and as someone whos driven a lot of m4s i think the cs drives and looks the best compared to the whole line up based on how the car is tuned from factory and paired with the cup 2 tires they come with
Love my F80 M3 and my background is mostly Japanese cars. When you get to drive it how it's meant to there's nothing like it. Especially with traction fully off 😊
I want it so bad. But, I’m like compared to the new m4 the old m4, cs, gts look super outdated. I’m on the east coast Jersey I see prices on m4 and m4 cs for 75k to 60k so reasonable prices. But, a little bit more I can get a new m4 lol. That’s digital and have gps cockpit the interior on the new m4 just beyond gorgeous
To me, this is a perfect daily. It looks fantastic, and like a slightly larger version of my own car, the OG M2. It's obviously a more powerful one too. I love my M2, but this is even better.
At first I thought you were about to announce you bought this M4 CS. Yeah buddy, from Petco across Jim Wlson Rd to Kensington, hang right down Providence, hand right on 75, left before 501 Main (in Waxhaw) down Rehoboth. I see you have found some of the sweet twisty roads here in Waxhaw 👊👍. Awesome to see you hitting roads I am very familiar with.
In my experience, the F87 is the only F series M car that truly has the driver connection and fun factor but I've always loved the looks of the F82/F80!
@@gunmentoy M2 comp is a pig and the cs is an overpriced pig. Less power than M3/m4 at the same weight and smaller wheelbase. Rubish. E46 M3 for kids who play forza but never drove a car in the real world. Especially an E46 M3. Lol. The car is super super flawed. And fragile engine.
My absolute dreamcar! Absolutely unaffordable where I live, but I'll be getting a 428i next year to satisfy until I can get an m4. Most beautiful car BMW has ever made imo. Well done on the review!
@@jmccarsnmore1025 I would if I could. But between fuel costs, insurance costs, tax costs and import costs, it's too expensive. Looking at around 7-10k more for purchasing and importing alone, and then tax is about 50 a month extra, insurance is 30 a month extra and fuel has just risen to 2 euros per litre.. so all in all it's just not the right choice right now
@@metalgearbas4 Oh, my bad. Thought you live in the states. What about a E92 chassis 335i, with N55 engine?? They kind of old, but still good. I have an E82 135i.

Johnathan, you should check to see if Honda of Indian Trail would let you review my RS3 I just sold them. I sold it to them with just 378 miles on it. Could be good for the chanel to review some non BMW cars a bit more often? You would certainly know by looking at your statistics from the Porsche reviews you had done. I have been fighting buying a Porsche until this year then, I could not stop myself from going to the dealership, putting in an allocation, being told 24-36 months. Here you come reviewing Porsches and here I go shopping for super low milage CPO 911's (992s. 20/21's) lol. Welp I found my super low milage loaded 21 CPO 992 C4S 🤣🤣
is there any substantial difference between the cs and the base M4? I mean, in the motor, does it have different parts or is it the same s55 motor? If it's the same then you get the base or competition in manual and tune in the extra power.
its like you reviewed my car! I literally have the exact same car in the same color on my channel, I really loved watching this video and getting someone else's perspective on this car haha
I almost bought an M4 CS but the storage on the door was a deal breaker because I have a large water bottle that I always carry with me. Luckily I managed to acquire an M4 Heritage Edition instead. I do agree that the interior is pretty outdated but I like the analog vibe.
the CS is NOT AT ALL worth that price jump from a comp to a CS. you’re getting 10hp more (same torque) and shed a few pounds but it’s the same car at the end of the day. a minor tune with some choice weight savings on a comp will net you a CS essentially and that’s a whole lot cheaper than the CS premium. it’s got the “rare(r)” aspect but honestly it’s negligible. i see a m4cs on a weekly basis here in LA.
Correction: the CS has 50 NM more torque than a competition pack M3/M4. Also it's not a simple tune. BMW spends millions in product development. You simply cannot take a base or competition pack M4 to your average tuning shop down the road and expect them to match the standards of BMW's top engineers who spend months and years refining their cars. Do you really think the chop shop down the road is gonna shave off a whole 10 seconds of a base M4's nurburgring lap time? Because that's what BMW's engineers did with the CS.
@@avishkarsingh744 shave some weight by taking out the back seats and replacing choice parts with carbon alternatives and reducing unsprung mass, re-tune the dampeners (bc that’s what they did, same hardware on a comp), re-tune ECU slightly to get a bit more boost, and then slap on some cup 2 tires, yeah you’re shaving off quite a bit of time on your lap. these are all things you can do to a comp for cheaper than the original price difference between a comp to CS.
