Been waiting for this video can't wait for you to start her up cause if all goes well with your build I'll be going the same route as you thanks for the inspiration
I’ve noticed you use copper spray on a lot of gaskets, I’m currently replacing the head gasket on my h22, do you recommend I copper spray the new one? I hear this is what’s recommended for “wet” engines but I have 0 clue what that is or of the h22a4 is one of those
Your video is really good but I am confused about one thing. The manual states when installing the valve cover, to keep the mating surfaces, valve cover gasket and cylinder head clean and dry and to apply liquid gasket to the 8 recesses on the gasket. Instead you applied oil all around the gasket and covered it. I don't get this part.
I would have liked to hear you start it at the end of the video. Question. -did you have to take it in for tubing afterward? -did you have to do anything to the ecm? -stock, correct?
Wow, this is so dope to me bc I don’t know a damn thing about car parts but there you go knowing exactly what you’re doing. Nicely edited as well, overall great video keep posting 😊
Some things get done, not because it is easy, but because it is hard-JFK don’t be afraid to try things out even if you know it is hard. Never give up on what you set your self out to do in life, I’m sure it wouldn’t be too difficult it’s still the same engine,
Great video! Appreciate the time it took to make. Do you have an idea of a price ballpark for all the parts from episode 1 to the finish? I want to do the same to mine just wondering how much I should save. I can do labor
How did u get the car to crank over? I rebuilt my h22, but the car won't turn over. It will just keep cranking, I have spark and fuel. Rn idk wats going on.
Is your wiring connected right? Check all your sensors make sure they’re connected in the right spots some connections could clip right in but aren’t the right ones causing your car to not turn over by safety precaution.
@@lvigarage6108 yea they r all correct, I took pics before I removed the harness. But imma check my compression, might be becuz of my new valves not sealing properly.
@@lvigarage6108 Can see it in the video haha. I've built a few h22a4's recenly and broke the knock sensor on each one. Here is a tip, some Accords use the same sensor,go to your local salvage yard and pull a few of them. I think I paid $10 for 3 Honda OEM knock sensors or if you're in a bind ,you can solder the wires back to the pad on the sensor and epoxy it. Great videos man, keep it up.
I just got a garage to rebuild and turbo my prelude. You could have not uploaded this series at a better time. Thank you sir. Great work !!
Be sure to help the channel out share it with your buddies n stuff
Consumate professional. Well done and documented.
Time for my prelude to get an overhaul thanks for showing us the way...

Working on a Prelude like this is like refurbishing an old grand piano.
Cold facts friend.
Interesting choice of music I like it😂
This is amazing

Rub a bit of oil on all rubber for better seal, that's all it is.

Just watched all ur vids I might try this my self. Do u think it would be more difficult on a sh because of the atts?

Hey question where does the harness of the knock sensor go to?
02:03 broken knock sensor I see, what a pain in the ass those things are.
PS I love your music selection.
Yeah, right? What are you gonna do? 🤷🏻♂️😂 and thanks friend. I thought about it for a while classical is never a wrong choice.
gotta know where you got that knife lol
What's the torque spec for engine mounts?
the music adds a lot here.
Thanks, to be honest I don’t know if I should stick with classical or lofi.. they’re both easy on the ear but I don’t know what do you think?
Yo bro so is this engine gonna make the same stock 195 horsepower a prelude has ? Or is it gonna be faster the way it’s being rebuilt
I haven’t had her dyno’d yet but with 200 compression I’m willing to bet this things good as new
@@lvigarage6108 damn okay I have 98 prelude same engine that blew the other week I’m gonna try to rebuild it though fuck it
Make sure you get it machined
@@lvigarage6108 ok bro that’s like when you take it to a shop right and they re do the metal ?
