Such a beautiful piece
"Anyone can play a piano," once said legendary pianist Artur Rubinstein, but "to make music" is the feat of a lifetime. Thank God in Yuja Wang resides both the highly virtuous and the distinctly musical. I daresay Rubinstein would blush with pride and approval.

She's top tier and one of my favorites among the young pianists, but that's where there is no "best." Arcadi Volodos, Marc Andre Hamelin, Khatia Buniatishvilli, Stephen Hough, that kid that won the Van Cliburn last year Yunchan Lim is a force to be reckoned with. And many more. Too much talent and variety for there to be one best.

Mélodie is my favorite piece from time, when I heard it from Nadezhda Golubovskaia. Yuja is fantastical, love her performance!

Absolutely exquisite! From Tatum's "Tea for Two" rendition, to Gluck's "Melodie," Wang is unafraid to venture upon the unorthodox. Here, as is typical of Wang, she showcases a lyricism, a musicality, that would warm the souls of Beethoven, Schubert, and Mendelssohn. My God, what a treasure she continues to be!
