Arcadi Volodos, Marc Andre Hamelin, Khatia Buniatishvilli, Stephen Hough, that kid that won the Van Cliburn last year Yunchan Lim is a force to be reckoned with. And many more. Too much talent and variety for there to be one best.
"Anyone can play a piano," once said legendary pianist Artur Rubinstein, but "to make music" is the feat of a lifetime. Thank God in Yuja Wang resides both the highly virtuous and the distinctly musical. I daresay Rubinstein would blush with pride and approval.

Absolutely exquisite! From Tatum's "Tea for Two" rendition, to Gluck's "Melodie," Wang is unafraid to venture upon the unorthodox. Here, as is typical of Wang, she showcases a lyricism, a musicality, that would warm the souls of Beethoven, Schubert, and Mendelssohn. My God, what a treasure she continues to be!
