Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.
While watching the video I thought that those were not the cheap garbage reels you see at Walmart for $ 20. Then I saw the engraver write "PENN". These are not even the lower cost PENN reels. These are the mid to high priced PENN reels. Thanks for uploading this video. .

yessuh yessuh I know the price of my reels. I fish a ton and buy bulk shimano products every year. I wear the crap out of the rods and reels that I have. That’s the price of a penn which are much cheaper
@@yessuhyessuh2100 She said you can fight fish up to 900 kilos which is very very realistic. I have landed fish close to that on 130's. International 130s also have much much more drag than 45. Get off the internet and go fish.
@@funnyman2828 130s only have 100lbs of drag youd have to finesses that fish for hours and the only likely fish it would be is a shark... so get your self off the internet and stop bsing about catching 2000lb fish

the 900 kilos was waaaaaay off too she might have meant 90 and even than thats wrong id say 50 at most. internationals have like 45 lbs of drag
