Hi. I'm Japanese. I always see you. I will comment for the first time. I'm commenting using Google's translation. Since I do not know honesty English. I do not know what they are talkingabout. However, it is very fun just by looking. please keep trying your best.
WOW, I caught the video on making the wood ball lure and the Teak wood lure. I hit a few more and ended up with this Fishing Reel. I am 84 and spent most of my life designing and building prototype products with a fully equipped machine shop. I have no idea what your' background is in Manufacturing/fabrication. I'm just overwhelmed by what you did in a home shop with wood and metal. You have my seal of approval. I immediately subbed and liked your' channel. Looking forward to seeing more of your' talents. You are a natural. Great job!! I think i will try to steal some of your' lure designs. ;O)
Someone's gonna find this in about 100 years ago say, this was from the covid era when manufacturing and farming shut down. People needed a reel to fish to feed themselves.
People in a hundred years will know exactly what was happening a 100 years before them the internet has insured them heck they’ll probably be able to watch this video
Not only am I impressed by how awesome this reel turned out, but it was also incredibly impressive watching you persevere through frustrating roadblocks and come out the other side with knowledge and a SWEET new reel.
Incredible! I watched every commercial that popped up. I rarely watch the commercials, but I watched these because you deserve every penny for your video's!
At least half of the reason I subscribed to your channel is because I like listening to you explain what you are doing and find the way you speak very soothing and relaxing. I totally don't fish, but I enjoy watching people creating things - especially woodworking.
Have no idea if this is only a hobby or ur job. But you REALLY HAVE TO MAKE IT YOUR JOB!!! Every single video I see of yours keeps me in awe. Dont EVER stop.
This was pretty sweet, watched every second. Seemed like it was almost a "bite of more than you can chew" project and you smashed it. So, steampunk clockwork swimbait next? Make sure you add a compartment for dry ice. You know, to simulate steam.
0:50 wow the way your drill bit just pushed into that brass. looked like it wasn't spinning at all. like you where just forcing it through without turning on the drill. neat camera timing thingy with spin rate and cam rate so neat.
Absolutely outstanding! Garage engineering and being a maker "tinkerer" myself, you have done a great job reverse engineering and prototype construction. I enjoyed the whole series. Thumbs up
What I love about this channel is that you don't give up. Other TH-camrs give up 3/4 of the way and end up with a crappy-ish result. But, you always go for the best result you can get even if it means taking longer to complete the project.
Don't apologize for being "monotone". You have a very relaxing pace and video style. You've actually come along in your video making and presenting very well. All skills take time to learn.
What an awesome series!! You do such an amazing job putting your mind to something and getting it done no matter what it takes. Can’t wait to see the next project.
I still think this is really a cool thing you made and would love to see one with more fine woods and cork and possibly even glass fiber reinforced resin or carbon impregnated resin, with your casting skills and now wood working skill i think eventually you can make a stunning hand crafted reel. I love the vids man makes me want to fish.
Nicely done...finally u did it bro...im glad u make it..u should built a rod to...matching it with this beauty handcraft reel...it would be awesome..just my opinion...anyway congrats..from Malaysia
Well done sir. Lots of guys have taken the easy way out on the homemade reel. Yours is leaps and bounds better. Can't wait for spring to see it in action.
That was a great series, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the progression. and considering the materials used in the build, I think it turned out quite well. and I'm surprised at its resilience and function. 🎣👍
now im probably going to stay out here way too long and not catch anything lmfao love it just like me. i just retierd my mitchell avocate II last night from wear and tear caught a lot of fish on that sucker. BIG THUMBS UP HERE!
What an Incredible series of Videos !!!! Congratulations in making your 1st Reel !!!! Very impressed by your determination to get this made, and all of the hurdles along the way that you overcame !!! Well Done !!!
If women don't find you handsome they better find you handy! Your commitment is inspiring my dude. The content is so refreshing compared to all of these commentary or hype beast channels. The monotoneish voice is unique to other videos because you sound like a normal human.
You never cease to amaze me man. Very nice job. I went back through your videos and found this gem. Glad I did. Can't wait to get my shirt and represent!
Congratulations... mental samurai.. conquered another challenge... enjoy seeing the brain work behind the finished product... always waiting for the next video ..

Put some heavy grease on those wheels and it will be far less clunky
Time for a baitcast reel next
Not only am I impressed by how awesome this reel turned out, but it was also incredibly impressive watching you persevere through frustrating roadblocks and come out the other side with knowledge and a SWEET new reel.
Its bittersweet that this series is over.
"Its kind of clunky and not that much of a pleasure to fish with"
-My friends say the same thing about me!
Your hidden comedy is amazing man! Most probably miss it.

No need to apologize, the video and reel turned out great!
Agree with a lot of the comments .. Long time watcher and admirer of the love you have for what you do .. Keep em coming !!
Maybe you can make a rod for it? that would be awesome😁👍🏼
Thetruth99 Yes
Yeah you should make a rod from scratch like bamboo
Don't apologize for being "monotone". You have a very relaxing pace and video style. You've actually come along in your video making and presenting very well. All skills take time to learn.

Now time to make a fishing rod to go with it
Absolutely amazed by the work you do but this is most technical thing I've seen this guy make 🎣
I'll tell you one thing ...DaVinci would have been so jealous!
Not jelly.. Proud...

Great piece of workmanship you must have learned a lot from this project awesome Chanel keep up the good work 🎣👍
This man deserves a lot of respect. He built a reel from scratch and fished in snow with no gloves. He is a god
That was a great series, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the progression. and considering the materials used in the build, I think it turned out quite well. and I'm surprised at its resilience and function. 🎣👍
All these wooden reel videos deserve way more views! Your dedication is crazy, thanks for these awesome videos.
Time to watch him make a pole😁
even if it not the best reel, it's a great project you built with your own hands. thanks for sharing!
I love how he has thousands of subscribers but he still reads all the comments
So does 1rod1reel. he has a million. I think it is great that they readt he comments. I like both these guys
That drill bit rotation to shutter speed was so cool
Bro, just do you.. don't worried about making great videos. You have come far, great videos make themselves
You are the most patient person I have ever seen!

Badass dude..watched all vids..till the end...didn't matter if you didn't catch anything...you still caught our attention.
Have you ever thought about making a pocket watch ? You certainly have a knack for it .
What an Incredible series of Videos !!!!

Very nice project, thanks for putting it together
So damn awesome!!
You must have some kind of engineering education
Sweet mid-century modern fishing reel, good work!
Time to make a preying mantis bait!
You never cease to amaze me man. Very nice job. I went back through your videos and found this gem. Glad I did. Can't wait to get my shirt and represent!
Look awesome..next project homemade fishing rod from bamboo for ultra light combo.. 😁👍
That's the coolest thing I ever seen !!! I can't believe you actually pulled it off . Good job 👍 bro
4 dislikes are from fish that know they’re gonna get caught with this
Now that was a journey of patience.. Enjoyed every second of it. :)
You know what’s next right? You gotta make a homemade rod and then use a homemade lure ;)
*with hand spun fishing line.
Then filet the fish with a homemade knife, of wood. 😉
Enjoy watching this build. I hope you try to make a second one! With all you learned it will be awesome!
21:02 made my day.
That was quite the journey. Thanks for sharing!
Would be cool in you made a cane/bamboo fishing rod for it now
yes simple but effective. i agree.
You deserve respect and praise! Great Job over all.
"SomeTHing stole my CHeese"
Nathan, you're awesome! Way to commit!
get a mini table top cnc mill you can make gears that are perfect and many other parts to great videos.
Extraordinary. Can't wait to see what's next!
you need a custom pole to go with that
Wow, congratulations! 👍 can’t still believe you made a wooden reel, couldn’t imagine the work you put on it. Thumbs up bro 👍
поздравляю!! ты хороший мастер!
"Congratulations!! you are a good master!"
Speaking of weird baits. Bread is my go to bait 😭🤣 it’s not crazy if it works!
You should make a frog lure
I agree
did i think
A frog lure would be amazing, probably something I would try to replicate and use myself.
Congratulations... mental samurai.. conquered another challenge... enjoy seeing the brain work behind the finished product... always waiting for the next video
..
next you should try a baitcaster
Bro that's impossible
I was thinking the same thing
Im sure a baitcasting real would be easyer. Less moving parts build the cage first and then build all the components off of the cage.
@@hmmmkok8540 think it would be little easier than the open reel is
yes for sure. Its winter and i think this is the perfect way to do this channel now. getting ready and learning. it's the time for it.
Absolutely fantastic outcome. 10/10 👍🏼
You should make a rod next
That's super cool! Who would have thought it was going to be such an undertaking.
You should now make a rod
Love your videos. Glad you kept at it and finally completed the wood reel. ON TO THE NEXT BAIT!
Nice
Wow, I’m astonished. I’ve watched every video in this series and I am so glad to see the reel is complete. Congratulations!
Now make a world record crappie
Hector Aguilar that would be a massive bait. Crappie get pretty large.
it's time to make a fishing boat !!! thanks for keeping us entertained !!
To match that nice reel
Hard work finally paid off ! Turned out awesome, definitely enjoyed following the progress.
