Another well done totorial and so easy to follow. You really should make and sell a DVD with a compilation of all things raspberry pi. I always use retropie but wanted to see if realtor had anything else to offer. By the way anyone who uses win32 this will work as a nice replacement for etcher. I installed it but the games launch is very small boxes. How do i get it to scale to 100% my screen or atleast give me black bars on the left and right of my screen?
Everytime i install Recalbox, I get the lightning bolt in the upper right hand corner. Any fix? I've tried Retropie and Raspian and both work so I know the Pi is getting enough power. I've even tried another power adapter and it still won't boot.
It does work, but if your Power Adapter doesn't have a current of 2.5A to 3A, the the power supply breaks down and the Voltages drops and that is signaled by the Lightning bolt, the should be an Information during the startup or in the Log saying something like Low Voltage. I tried with a 2A Power Supplie had the same, tried a 3A bolt gone.
I've tried and tried many time adding DC games and PS1 games.. And i couldn't get any of them to work.. Everyone on avery video i watched always says do a google search but its is easier said than done... Gave up and just bought a raspi already fully loaded and configured with the controllers on etsy for 150. No wasted time just plug and play and done.

I have recalbox 18.07.13 running on my pi 3 model b. Flashed it to my sd card successfully no problem. however, I do have an issue with my wireless controller(ipega PG-9055). It pairs just fine, but the controller doesn't work. Any pointers?
It's not clear to me. SNES Roms go inside the correct folder (SNES folder for example) which is in the ROMS folder but what about BIOs files do they just go anywhere inside the bios folder or they need to go into a correctly labeled folrder inside the main bios folder? IDK?

Hey thanks for all the videos mate i've been watching lots and really want to put one of these little boxes together and it mostly seems fairly straightforward from watching your stuff even for me but there is something i'm curious about. Is there a way to scrape and add the box art on a windows PC for this or Retropie? I'm on a shared network at home so don't have access to the router and to connect to the internet via wifi you have to log in through a browser which i can't do on the Pi box. I'm assuming all the box art images are stored on the USB drive the same as the roms are but then i'm also sure there has to be some way the system associates the correct artwork with the correct rom, don't know if that's something as simple as renaming the artwork file to the same as the rom. Is there some kind of automated script or app that can be run from the USB drive which i can do on my laptop to scrape the box art and put it in the right place and associate it with the correct rom? I know i can make do with just a plain text list of games but it would be nice to have the box art and screenshot too if possible.
Cool thanks i did find some videos on that i even watched one before on this channel and every one of them says you have to be connected over network with the Retropie box which i can't do. Is that just because in those tutorials all the roms are stored on the Retropie SD card? Is it just as simple as plugging the USB drive into my laptop, run the XML scaper program and point it towards the rom folder on the USB drive, it doesn't need to modify anything on the SD card in the Retropie box? All the config files etc that need modification are on the USB drive?
How to access Dip Switch in arcade roms to config number of coins, add/remove blood, change difficulty level, etc? In Retropie I only have to hold Start (or maybe select :p... for sure one of them :D) to access Dip Switch configs of Mame and Neogeo Roms... In Recallbox I don't know how to access Dip Switch configs... Keep up the great work!
RetroPie is older with a bigger community. It has more customization if you're into it. RecalBox is more user friendly with things such as setting up WiFi och having Kodi in the startmenu out of box.

please help. I brought her with Xbox 360 controller to play multiplayer I got the Xbox 360 receiver in both our controllers sync up and work. started off with N64. perfect. Works great. Fried Genesis and could not get it to work. Tried arcade games and same thing. Where it cues off for second player to press start,nothing happens. what is weird is my buddy was still able to control the menu button and everything. Frustrating. Any suggestions?

My SVT Garage if your chip is stable at the highest clock offered you will be fine with the flirc. Not all CPUs are created equal so there is a chance it might crash. If that happens just back the clock down a bit.
Themes are lacking right now mainly because everyone is making them for Retropie but if more people start using and working with Recalbox that can change really fast.
ETA PRIME Alright thanks, but this should be good for gift builds I think. It has many of the options available without having to go too deep into the Linux side of things.

I'm using a Pi3 on a computer monitor via a HDMI 2 DVI-D cable, but get no picture. There's a signal but the screen is totally blanked out (black). Same config on a regular lcd tv via HDMI is perfect, but on the monitor is no screen at all. RetroPie runs flawlessly with this config. Any ideas?
No, as far as I can remember Raspberry Pi can't boot from an external storage device, sd card is must. P.S: The reply is quite late, so I can guess you would have found that by yourself now.😐

What are the benefits to running RecalBox over Retropie?
It's easier to set up but is less customisable
imo a real benefit of RecalBox over Retropie is that RecalBox has Kodi in the startmenu as native.

If there is a lightning bolt in the top corner, it means your voltage is too low. His can be solved by buying a 2.5 amp or 3 amp power supply

winrar lets you select multiple files and add them to zip in separate files. So far I cant find that option using 7zip

Recalbox doesn’t support gamecube.. maybe in the future when pi4 is more stable

When I plug my USB back into my computer it says it’s corrupt or unreadable. I cannot open it to add games. Any suggestions?
