Thanks! You can use cream cheese frosting but it won’t set firm like buttercream does so you won’t be able to touch the sides of the cake with your hands as you stack it.
Thank you! For some reason, I can’t get the edges of my tiers to be straight. This is difficult when using a cake comb for stripes. Do you ever place your tiers inside a cake pan overnight to make the side edges straight? It seems that when the cakes bake, they don’t always come out the same size even though I weigh the dough going into each cake pan.

Great tutorial. Thank you. Did you put the 2nd cake tier back in the 'fridge after you had piped the coloured design on it and before piping the top coat of buttercream? Hope that makes sense! xx

How many baking pans did you use for the bottom layer?
I used three 8" pans
What is the appropriate height of each layer please? Is it 1”/2”?
I have seen some people do think layers

I was hoping to see how many cakes are used for each layer, leveling the cakes, whether you cut the cake horizontally to make a layer. How many cakes can be cooked at a time, and temp for each size of cake. I apologize - I am quite new to this and want to bake a perfect babyshower cake
