    I laughed.
Demonstrating the Grim Guard - and spraying chain lube without it 🤣

You could just attach the Grime guard to the rear pegs/block off plates with a String. Than it doesn't rotate anymore and you can use the second hand for rotating the wheel again.

Good review and clear display of the down sides of this item. I've always used a 400mm long, "off cut" of domestic house plastic 200mm wide, fascia placed between the tyre and the chain, with a rag to catch the grot that comes off of the chain. Works a treat and free from any builders skip. (Obviously not a branded motorcycle tool, but works none the less) 😁

Hook a bungy strap/cord through the loops at the top on the thing and hook the other end up to something on the top of the bike. That should hold it where it is.

I've just received one of these. Hoping to try it in the next few days.
My plan is try using a reusable cable tie through the holes at the top to 'secure' the guard in place to the chain guard on my bike so when spinning the rear wheel it will hopefully keep the grime guard in place..... and give me the free hand I need to spin the wheel.

Excellent Review mate! Clear and price. I find it way too overpriced considering it is just basically a plastic cut out albeit being a good idea apart from the flaws that you mentioned.

I reckon if it's just protecting the chain, a flexible chopping board, one of those super thin ones you get in packs of say 5, with a hole cut in it would do just the same job without the catchy thing at the bottom....

Poorly packaged and sent from England yet in only a single layer thin plastic bag. So of course it arrived damaged. They say 2-3 days and customer service will get back to me from my message I sent to Tru-tensions website and its now almost 5 days now. Maybe England counts days differently than the U.S. 😜 Either way I should have spent the $5 more and ordered the Muc-off brand Grime Guard. At least Amazon stands behind their vendors. Buying direct from a company you are at their mercy to make your order right. Now I'll just contest this charge with my credit card. Also, IMO this is not a company on the up and up as the reviews and sites let a few positive posts go up and then shut the comments off. Kudos to 8-bit biker as he is one of the few that has his comments turned on! After watching his review now I know why they give these out for free to the reviewers and probably suggest to turn the comments off.

Put a rock in that pocket to keep the grime guard from moving.

Pointless lubing a chain that's been left to rust & obviously not ever seen regular lube
