If I ever get attacked by a zone eater, I'd literally just let the effect resolve and destroy my monster. My opponent deserves to have some happiness to go along with such optimism.

There should be a challenge in Duel Links where if you successfully get a monster destroyed by that effect you can get 500 gems or an exclusive mat or something lol
Plus it's not as bad as depicted, it's good in decks where monsters gain damage from monsters in ur graveyard or have graveyard effects it's actually in a red-eyes b. dragon deck of mine with darkness dragon
It also works well in fire King decks and nepythys decks I think since both birds blow up the field when they get destroyed by card effects (though who knows maybe it bypasses those effects)

I used Pot of Generosity in some FTK decks that required certain cards to be in the deck and not the hand so I could search them or place them on top of the deck, as was the case in some Dark Doriado decks.
That "reset your deck" feature of Localized Tornado is very good in Duel Links, where decks are often kept as close to 20 cards as possible, so deck-out strategies are rampant.
Cold Feet + Mystical Refpanel is busted because you would stop your opponent from using spell and trap cards for a turn. That could really screw over a lot of players.
Just as a heads up, 2000 DEF on a level 4 monster without penalties was introduced a month after the OCG started, with Aqua Madoor in March of 1999. Dark Artist was released 4 months after Madoor in Booster 3, and on that set there were other Level 4 mosters with more DEF (and even some with more ATK than its DEF), than it. It basically was born powercreeped.

Unless I'm missing something (which is quite possible), I don't see how Neo Bubbleman is a -4. It's a -2 to summon right? And even with the whole Bubble Blaster "combo" he mentioned, its still a -2 since you trade 1 for 1 with the opponent. Right? But in any case the card is from 2005... Did you expect something like: Special Summon this card (from your Deck) by sending all cards your opponent controls and in their hand to the GY. Unaffected by other Card Effects. During either player's turn (Quick Effect): ,You win the Duel. Oh and Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this card's effect activations. Also Negate stuff... can't be destroyed or targeted, Summon can't be negated etc.. cause why not. But seriously though its obviously some stupid thing used in the anime probably once and they adapted it into the actual OCG/TCG trying to keep the effect as close as possible.

Tbh hearing localized tornado get called 'bad' really drives home how different my playground Yu-Gi-Oh was to competitive stuff. I used to have that card in my 'dinosaur deck' because I thought it would be good to get my monsters and stuff back 😂
I was kind of thinking the same thing haha. I played yugioh primarily back when spell cards were still called magic cards, and outside of like monster reborn there wasn't really anything you could do with cards in the graveyard. The idea of a card that can potentially let you get back monsters, spell and traps that you've already used up sounds awesome for the old playground yugioh scene.
The joke about wallshadow is that the animeeffect actually was that of a defensive attacker. Basically, the stonewall as a monster was used as the battlearena because season1 came up with a lot of nonsense-gimmicks like that because the story was written before the cardgame was made. The shadowmonster was fused into the wall with poly to create wallshadow and it was able to attack without having to fear having to actually engage its opponents. It just baffles me that they failed to retain the one part of that whole duel that would have made sense in the actual ruleset.

Self mummification definitely has some niche uses. For example, saving a card from being banished or stopping your opponent from taking control of your monster.

Calming Magic is my favorite worst card. "This card can only be activated at the start of Main Phase 1. During the Main Phases and Battle Phase of this turn, neither player can Summon monsters."
I mean it's more horribly situational than actually horrible since it kills any floaters, but yeah surprise summons in your turn can simply be chained to it and there are tons of anti floater cards that are more reliable and can be used during the opponent's turn too.
Localized Tornado was actually used in Duel Links, since stall over there has been very prevalent throughout it's history. But there's actually a skill that allows you to draw 2 cards from your deck every turn if you start the game with 1 card in your hand. And you tend to gain advantage really fast in that stall deck. So just resetting before you deck out isn't much of an issue.
Not ONLY was Dark Artist power-crept when the first TCG set came out, it wasn’t even included in that first set. The west didn’t get Dark Artist until 2014!
Localized Tornado was used in a troll stall deck in duel links. kalin kesslar has a skill that let's you draw 2 cards during each drawphase at the cost of starting with 0 cards in your hand. So the skill is a -4 but if you last long enough you start to plus. Basically you would just play stall cards like winged kuriboh and rainbow life. The problem is you are going to deck out before your opponent since you draw 2 cards every turn. Localized tornado makes your opponent deck out before you. The skill will gain you so much advantage that the - on localized tornado doesn't matter.
So, a friend of mine made a localized tornado deck and it is one of the best decks I’ve ever seen. He runs all out assault and the basic strategy is to run cards that excavate low level monsters from your deck out onto the field face down, to then flip then with all out assault, getting their flip effect and continuously repeating this with localized tornado after the low level monsters die to tribute summons and other board wipe effects. It’s amazing, it won’t always win, but I have lost to it before.
I used to run localized tornado in an old stall/grindy deck. There was nothing like flipping it when my opponent and I were both 2 or 3 cards from decking out and seeing their reactions.
@@Supernat98 uh, if i remember correctly that's not how the rules work, a card can't activate it's effects if it got shuffled into the deck. It's like, for an example, a Krawler monster not floating after getting shuffled back into the deck by Knightmare Unicorn even tho it left the field while face-up.
Still better cards to use, especially when Infernity’s want cards in the graveyard over back in the deck. Phantom Hand is good enough most of the time, especially if there’s some hand traps you need to keep.
The only way that I see Pot of Generosity being beneficial is if your opponent is using a deck-thinning strategy (like Bakura in dawn of the duel), and you need to buy yourself more time.
It FEELS like it something just a bit DIFFERENT from that Advantage: I draw Disadvantage: I Discard Anti-Advantage: Opponent draws so I can steal/destroy his cards
Localized tornado is so good with Tea and her surprise present in Duel Links, and can save you in self mill decks. Also, it is so fun to watch it happen.
I've used localized tornado in a Jowgen Final Countdown deck. There was something really fun about my opponent thinking that I'll deck out first and activating it on their end phase and ending up with basically a full deck. After that I'd activate a previously set Necrovalley so they couldn't recycle cards if they could. It was a frustrating slog of a deck and if I played the game irl I'd get my teeth punched in and I'd deserve it, lmao.
You can make a Wall Shadow in the PS2 game Duelist of the Roses having a Shadow Ghoul walk into a Labyrinth Wall Terain which gives it the effect of begin the only monster in the game that can walk over Labyrinth Wall Terain walls.
Cold snap is used for canceling out negative effects in cards. Although niche, you could use cards like Aegis of Gaia. You can gain 3000 LP, then activate cold snap to cancel the 3000 damage you would take. This can also combo with call of the haunted, birthright, ect.
I think Localized Tornado can be very beneficial when you are on the verge of running out of your deck cards and to have the ability to return a card sent to your graveyard to use it again
I feel like Wall Shadow would’ve been a lot better as a ritual monster of some kind. It would still need a good effect, like being able to attack from defense position and maybe banishing a target.
In the anime, I'm pretty sure it was a fusion of Labyrinth Wall and Shadow Ghoul. So easy solution to massively improve it: just let it keep Shadow Ghoul's effect.
Honestly, the most flavorful way to do it would be if the magic card used to summon wallshadow would just summon a shadow ghoul equipped to the wall that would act as a different creature which can't be attacked as long as the wall is still standing.
Honorable mention: Lucky Punch It’s a continuous trap where you flip a coin 3 times when your opponent attacks. 3 heads lets you draw 3 cards, 3 tails destroys the card, and any other combination does nothing. If it’s destroyed in any way, you take 6000 damage. In the OCG/TCG, it’s already terrible simply by being a luck-based card where half the outcomes do nothing. But in Duel Links, it’s even worse since you only have 4000 LP. Basically, activating Lucky Punch in Duel Links turns MST into an instant win card.
this honestly makes me curious what kind of shenanigans Mystical Refpanel can do and if a situation where it will become good for a trap card will ever come up.
fun fact: there's a card called "Jar Robber" that is completely unplayable because its effect requires your opponent to play pot of greed, which is banned.
Refpanel and the bad version spells are my favorite cards in yugioh. Such a clever way to keep around broken effects from the early days without making them archetype specific
Must now add "An Unfortunate Report" to my timelord deck since I'm already running Savage Colosseum and could get a few of their effects off twice per turn
What about The Cheerful Coffin? I know setting up the graveyard is nice and good, but at the cost of up to three cards from the hand (four if you count the card itself) is very steep.
I feel like self mummification could be useful as a counterplay side deck card against certain cards that gives you an opponent card and a game state that prevent it to be used in any kind of special summon
Wall shadow would be freaking great (especially back in the days where it is from) if it could attack while in defense position, still gain the bonus attack of its actuall source shadow ghoul AND be a fusion of shadow ghoul and labyrinth walls. I think it might even have seen play in that form, even if it would have been hard to search.
I thought self mummification would at least activate effects that say “if this monster is sent to the graveyard” instead of explicitly destroyed. So in my Doom Dozer bug deck, it’s my understanding that I could potentially use self mummification to send Resonance Insect to the grave and then use it’s effect to add Doom Dozer to my hand.
In regards to keeping cards in your deck for farming in Duel Links, Good Goblin Housekeeping is usually the preferred card, as it gives you draw power and it puts cards on the bottom of the deck, where they won't ever be seen again without a search.
Ahhh, I remember Swordsman From a Distant Land! Used him a bit in Duelist of Roses. In that game he destroyed whatever card attacked it instantly, so it's a lot better, especially given the 'movement' system the game ran on where monsters had to literally move into each other on a board to attack, so he's great for removing a dangerous monster like a Blue Eyes or the like. Wall Shadow was cool too- just move a Shadow Sneak onto a Labyrinth space, and it transforms and you get a cool defensive wall.
How about a fun idea for a Zone Eater/ Swordsman fusion? _Zone Slayer Swordsman_ Earth Level 1 Warrior/tuner/effect _”+1 Zone Eater” “+1 Swordsman From A Distant Land”_ _ This monster cannot be destroyed or affected by battle or card effects from opponents cards of the same column as this monster, can an additional time for every fusion material used for its fusion summon, inflicts piercing battle damage, and you gain LP equal any battle damage inflicted by this monster. Once per turn (quick effect), this monster can change its original attribute to either Water or Earth, and it’s original type to either Aqua, Warrior, Sea Serpent or Beast-Warrior. If this card battles a monster, after damage calculation: your opponents sends all cards they control in the same column as the monster this card battles to the GY during your next end phase, and your opponent cannot set cards facedown in that column until the 5th end phase after the attack. ATK/500 DEF/450
I feel like localized tornado and pot of generosity *could* be potentially beneficial if you are using something like morphing jar or card destruction. during the attack, you could send your hand and graveyard back to the deck before the attack goes through without negating the attack and flip of morphing jar itself. and you would be able to send 2 of your cards back to the deck instead of having them all sent to the graveyard beforehand with pot of generosity. worth all the effort? no, probably not, but there's at least a potential self benefit without having to flip them on your opponent. awesome video by the way 🙏
I don't think I've seen a comment mention the trap card called "Relay Soul". You can special summon a monster, but when the monster leaves the field, you lose the duel.
There are ways to make that actually really good, if you choose jowgen the spiritualist your opponent can't special summon so you just win. There's probably other ways to get around it.
@@maxsync183 Jowgen would absolutely not help you win with Relay Soul. You would basically hinge your entire survival on a 1300 body that has no protection. Literally, one of the normal summonable combo-pieces could win you the game on it's own at that point. Not to mention all other, non monster outs. Destruction with Lightning Storm or Raigeki, getting negated by Droplet or Ruler No More, etc. It'd be fine of you used a stall strategy, except the thing needs to be Summoned from hand and Jowgen has limited options for searching that a stall deck would want to invest in. Even in that case, it would be much better to summon Jowgen with literally any card that didn't make you lose on the spot.
Technically, in the earliest days of YuGiOh, there wasn't Tribute Summoning (which was only introduced on May 7th, 1999), so Hitotsu-Me-Giant wasn't the highest attack monster, Dark Magician was.
Fun fact, I actually used Localized Tornado in a Mystic Mine/Final Countdown deck. Where in I would always set my hand, so I'd never shovel back my hand, and shuffling back my graveyard would reset my grind game. That being said, it was a gimmicky deck to begin with, and I only used it once. When I used it my opponent rage quit with some rather harsh words.
The Humble Sentry is actually pretty good, if you use it to get rid of a piece of Exodia and then still win anyway your opponent would rage quit the next game.
I used localized tornado in my first duel links deck,I think it’s pretty useful for when the battle has been drawn out long enough and you and your opponent got 2 cards to draw,So you use localized tornado to basically reset while the opponent might lose because of not being able to draw. Or when i used my trap cards,localized tornado would just give all my lost trap and spells back to me.
I always loved Volcanic Rat simply cause I thought it was adorable. At least it was usable with Blaze Accelerator but man I really wish it did something, or at least had decent Defense :(
Just one thing: Localized Tornado can turn useful in a highly toxic deck where the strategy is to destroy the opponent's deck. Cards like "Jar of Greed" allow you to return 5 cards from GY to the deck + draw one, but they can't return themself from GY. So Localized Tornado can be used to return 3 copies of Jar of Greed to the deck (plus all the GY and hand), which if used correctly basically allows you an infinite deck loop
Actually Cold Feet has great synergy with cards such as Cybernetic Zone. Activate Cybernetic Zone during your opponent's End phase to remove whatever machine-type fusion monster you got, have it return instantly to the field with 2x the atk and immediately activate Cold Feet at the beginning of your turn to prevent your fusion monster's destruction & allow it to permanently keep that 2x atk bonus. No other card name comes to mind, but I know there are a lot of cards with effects or cost happening during the standbyphase (such as paying X life points) - this card skips the cost Its a niche card but definitely not a bad card

Based on what I remember, it could do the following: - it cant be attacked unless it is attacking - it cant be targetted by effects unless it is attacking - it can use its def as its attack (i think i remember it attacking a dark magician... But was stopped by Joey /Junoichi's Kunai with chain trap card) So it was basically an early (and weaker) version of Leo, Keeper of the Sacred Tree

@@dracometeors3010 Maybe not in a sweaty pro game, but it can definitely happen in regular games if you play gimmick decks. I've actually used Localized Tornado in a gimmick deck where I just draw a shitload of cards every turn to power up Slifer and I could deck myself out in 2-3 turns. That was several years ago though, and obviously not competitive.
Pot of generosity was used heavily 9 years ago in invoker decks. The tornado can be used in lightsworn decks to reset your deck and prevent you from milling out, and depending on your field you'll be milling at the end of your turn anyways.
Remember in duel links when Localized tornado was actually good cuz of the One Card Wonder skill and this trap made an infinite game until your opponent decks out

Except it can now be turbo'd out. It's still not worth it sure, but it can be turbo'd out.
The list isn't packed with Genex or Allies of Justice, clearly 0/10. It also doesn't have Royal Knight of the Ice Barrier.

In the anime Neo Bubbleman was an Extra Deck monster. -2 is still trash, but it wasn't the flaming pile of trash it is in the TCG.
Unless I'm missing something (which is quite possible), I don't see how Neo Bubbleman is a -4. It's a -2 to summon right? And even with the whole Bubble Blaster "combo" he mentioned, its still a -2 since you trade 1 for 1 with the opponent. Right?
But in any case the card is from 2005... Did you expect something like:
Special Summon this card (from your Deck) by sending all cards your opponent controls and in their hand to the GY. Unaffected by other Card Effects. During either player's turn (Quick Effect): ,You win the Duel. Oh and Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this card's effect activations. Also Negate stuff... can't be destroyed or targeted, Summon can't be negated etc.. cause why not.
But seriously though its obviously some stupid thing used in the anime probably once and they adapted it into the actual OCG/TCG trying to keep the effect as close as possible.

Tbh hearing localized tornado get called 'bad' really drives home how different my playground Yu-Gi-Oh was to competitive stuff. I used to have that card in my 'dinosaur deck' because I thought it would be good to get my monsters and stuff back 😂
I was kind of thinking the same thing haha. I played yugioh primarily back when spell cards were still called magic cards, and outside of like monster reborn there wasn't really anything you could do with cards in the graveyard. The idea of a card that can potentially let you get back monsters, spell and traps that you've already used up sounds awesome for the old playground yugioh scene.
The joke about wallshadow is that the animeeffect actually was that of a defensive attacker. Basically, the stonewall as a monster was used as the battlearena because season1 came up with a lot of nonsense-gimmicks like that because the story was written before the cardgame was made.
The shadowmonster was fused into the wall with poly to create wallshadow and it was able to attack without having to fear having to actually engage its opponents.
It just baffles me that they failed to retain the one part of that whole duel that would have made sense in the actual ruleset.

Self mummification definitely has some niche uses. For example, saving a card from being banished or stopping your opponent from taking control of your monster.
Except it's not a quick-play, so that's not even true there either. It's spell-speed 1. You can't chain it to anything.

I mean it's more horribly situational than actually horrible since it kills any floaters, but yeah surprise summons in your turn can simply be chained to it and there are tons of anti floater cards that are more reliable and can be used during the opponent's turn too.
Localized Tornado was actually used in Duel Links, since stall over there has been very prevalent throughout it's history.
But there's actually a skill that allows you to draw 2 cards from your deck every turn if you start the game with 1 card in your hand. And you tend to gain advantage really fast in that stall deck. So just resetting before you deck out isn't much of an issue.

Localized Tornado was used in a troll stall deck in duel links. kalin kesslar has a skill that let's you draw 2 cards during each drawphase at the cost of starting with 0 cards in your hand. So the skill is a -4 but if you last long enough you start to plus. Basically you would just play stall cards like winged kuriboh and rainbow life. The problem is you are going to deck out before your opponent since you draw 2 cards every turn. Localized tornado makes your opponent deck out before you. The skill will gain you so much advantage that the - on localized tornado doesn't matter.

So, a friend of mine made a localized tornado deck and it is one of the best decks I’ve ever seen. He runs all out assault and the basic strategy is to run cards that excavate low level monsters from your deck out onto the field face down, to then flip then with all out assault, getting their flip effect and continuously repeating this with localized tornado after the low level monsters die to tribute summons and other board wipe effects. It’s amazing, it won’t always win, but I have lost to it before.
I used to run localized tornado in an old stall/grindy deck. There was nothing like flipping it when my opponent and I were both 2 or 3 cards from decking out and seeing their reactions.
One day, they will make an archtype where cards get effect from being shuffled into the deck so localized tornado will let you go +30

@@Supernat98 uh, if i remember correctly that's not how the rules work, a card can't activate it's effects if it got shuffled into the deck. It's like, for an example, a Krawler monster not floating after getting shuffled back into the deck by Knightmare Unicorn even tho it left the field while face-up.

Techically Pot of Generosity and Humble Sentry can be used in a Infernity deck, as the deck only works with 0 cards in hand
Still better cards to use, especially when Infernity’s want cards in the graveyard over back in the deck. Phantom Hand is good enough most of the time, especially if there’s some hand traps you need to keep.

The only way that I see Pot of Generosity being beneficial is if your opponent is using a deck-thinning strategy (like Bakura in dawn of the duel), and you need to buy yourself more time.
...but then just run localized tornado instead? That buys you a LOT more time.

Localized tornado is so good with Tea and her surprise present in Duel Links, and can save you in self mill decks. Also, it is so fun to watch it happen.

I've used localized tornado in a Jowgen Final Countdown deck. There was something really fun about my opponent thinking that I'll deck out first and activating it on their end phase and ending up with basically a full deck.
After that I'd activate a previously set Necrovalley so they couldn't recycle cards if they could.
It was a frustrating slog of a deck and if I played the game irl I'd get my teeth punched in and I'd deserve it, lmao.
You can make a Wall Shadow in the PS2 game Duelist of the Roses having a Shadow Ghoul walk into a Labyrinth Wall Terain which gives it the effect of begin the only monster in the game that can walk over Labyrinth Wall Terain walls.
Labyrinth tank could also do that. Duelist of the Roses is a great game.
Cold snap is used for canceling out negative effects in cards. Although niche, you could use cards like Aegis of Gaia. You can gain 3000 LP, then activate cold snap to cancel the 3000 damage you would take. This can also combo with call of the haunted, birthright, ect.

I think Localized Tornado can be very beneficial when you are on the verge of running out of your deck cards and to have the ability to return a card sent to your graveyard to use it again
I feel like Wall Shadow would’ve been a lot better as a ritual monster of some kind. It would still need a good effect, like being able to attack from defense position and maybe banishing a target.
In the anime, I'm pretty sure it was a fusion of Labyrinth Wall and Shadow Ghoul. So easy solution to massively improve it: just let it keep Shadow Ghoul's effect.
Honestly, the most flavorful way to do it would be if the magic card used to summon wallshadow would just summon a shadow ghoul equipped to the wall that would act as a different creature which can't be attacked as long as the wall is still standing.
It came out at a time when stuff like that wouldve been super insane and broken

It’s a continuous trap where you flip a coin 3 times when your opponent attacks. 3 heads lets you draw 3 cards, 3 tails destroys the card, and any other combination does nothing. If it’s destroyed in any way, you take 6000 damage.
In the OCG/TCG, it’s already terrible simply by being a luck-based card where half the outcomes do nothing. But in Duel Links, it’s even worse since you only have 4000 LP. Basically, activating Lucky Punch in Duel Links turns MST into an instant win card.
this honestly makes me curious what kind of shenanigans Mystical Refpanel can do and if a situation where it will become good for a trap card will ever come up.
fun fact: there's a card called "Jar Robber" that is completely unplayable because its effect requires your opponent to play pot of greed, which is banned.

I did. Only one time and that was when the card first came out.
The only way I can see that card effect being used nowadays is on a deck with a bunch of floodgates like mask of restrict and summon limit

Refpanel and the bad version spells are my favorite cards in yugioh. Such a clever way to keep around broken effects from the early days without making them archetype specific

What about The Cheerful Coffin? I know setting up the graveyard is nice and good, but at the cost of up to three cards from the hand (four if you count the card itself) is very steep.

Wall shadow would be freaking great (especially back in the days where it is from) if it could attack while in defense position, still gain the bonus attack of its actuall source shadow ghoul AND be a fusion of shadow ghoul and labyrinth walls. I think it might even have seen play in that form, even if it would have been hard to search.
I thought self mummification would at least activate effects that say “if this monster is sent to the graveyard” instead of explicitly destroyed.
So in my Doom Dozer bug deck, it’s my understanding that I could potentially use self mummification to send Resonance Insect to the grave and then use it’s effect to add Doom Dozer to my hand.

In regards to keeping cards in your deck for farming in Duel Links, Good Goblin Housekeeping is usually the preferred card, as it gives you draw power and it puts cards on the bottom of the deck, where they won't ever be seen again without a search.
Ahhh, I remember Swordsman From a Distant Land! Used him a bit in Duelist of Roses. In that game he destroyed whatever card attacked it instantly, so it's a lot better, especially given the 'movement' system the game ran on where monsters had to literally move into each other on a board to attack, so he's great for removing a dangerous monster like a Blue Eyes or the like.
Wall Shadow was cool too- just move a Shadow Sneak onto a Labyrinth space, and it transforms and you get a cool defensive wall.

I feel like localized tornado and pot of generosity *could* be potentially beneficial if you are using something like morphing jar or card destruction.
during the attack, you could send your hand and graveyard back to the deck before the attack goes through without negating the attack and flip of morphing jar itself.
and you would be able to send 2 of your cards back to the deck instead of having them all sent to the graveyard beforehand with pot of generosity.
worth all the effort? no, probably not, but there's at least a potential self benefit without having to flip them on your opponent.

I don't think I've seen a comment mention the trap card called "Relay Soul". You can special summon a monster, but when the monster leaves the field, you lose the duel.
There are ways to make that actually really good, if you choose jowgen the spiritualist your opponent can't special summon so you just win. There's probably other ways to get around it.

Jowgen would absolutely not help you win with Relay Soul. You would basically hinge your entire survival on a 1300 body that has no protection. Literally, one of the normal summonable combo-pieces could win you the game on it's own at that point.
Not to mention all other, non monster outs. Destruction with Lightning Storm or Raigeki, getting negated by Droplet or Ruler No More, etc. It'd be fine of you used a stall strategy, except the thing needs to be Summoned from hand and Jowgen has limited options for searching that a stall deck would want to invest in. Even in that case, it would be much better to summon Jowgen with literally any card that didn't make you lose on the spot.
I used to use Relay Soul in combination with Stand-Off to create a nearly unbreakable lockdown.
You forgot the trap card: the gift of greed:your opponent draws 2 cards.
I think this card should have a spot in this list.
Technically, in the earliest days of YuGiOh, there wasn't Tribute Summoning (which was only introduced on May 7th, 1999), so Hitotsu-Me-Giant wasn't the highest attack monster, Dark Magician was.

Fun fact, I actually used Localized Tornado in a Mystic Mine/Final Countdown deck. Where in I would always set my hand, so I'd never shovel back my hand, and shuffling back my graveyard would reset my grind game.
That being said, it was a gimmicky deck to begin with, and I only used it once. When I used it my opponent rage quit with some rather harsh words.
The Humble Sentry is actually pretty good, if you use it to get rid of a piece of Exodia and then still win anyway your opponent would rage quit the next game.
I used localized tornado in my first duel links deck,I think it’s pretty useful for when the battle has been drawn out long enough and you and your opponent got 2 cards to draw,So you use localized tornado to basically reset while the opponent might lose because of not being able to draw.
Or when i used my trap cards,localized tornado would just give all my lost trap and spells back to me.

I think Volcanic rat actually had high stats for a level 1 normal at 500, which technically make it the ideal target for summoning Zushin!

I always loved Volcanic Rat simply cause I thought it was adorable. At least it was usable with Blaze Accelerator but man I really wish it did something, or at least had decent Defense :(
Just one thing: Localized Tornado can turn useful in a highly toxic deck where the strategy is to destroy the opponent's deck. Cards like "Jar of Greed" allow you to return 5 cards from GY to the deck + draw one, but they can't return themself from GY. So Localized Tornado can be used to return 3 copies of Jar of Greed to the deck (plus all the GY and hand), which if used correctly basically allows you an infinite deck loop
Actually Cold Feet has great synergy with cards such as Cybernetic Zone.
Activate Cybernetic Zone during your opponent's End phase to remove whatever machine-type fusion monster you got, have it return instantly to the field with 2x the atk
and immediately activate Cold Feet at the beginning of your turn to prevent your fusion monster's destruction & allow it to permanently keep that 2x atk bonus.
No other card name comes to mind, but I know there are a lot of cards with effects or cost happening during the standbyphase (such as paying X life points) - this card skips the cost

localized tornado slander. i use it all the time. best used as you'r being attacked. activate it then allow morphin jar to pop off. get a full deck and a full hand.
I wish they used the anime version of Wall Shadow. Based on what I remember, it could do the following:
- it cant be attacked unless it is attacking
- it cant be targetted by effects unless it is attacking
- it can use its def as its attack (i think i remember it attacking a dark magician... But was stopped by Joey /Junoichi's Kunai with chain trap card)
So it was basically an early (and weaker) version of Leo, Keeper of the Sacred Tree
It's funny that when mentioning the defense attackers while talking about Wall Shadow, you didn't mention the Superheavy Samurai, an entire whose entire gimmick is attacking with their defense points

@@dracometeors3010 Maybe not in a sweaty pro game, but it can definitely happen in regular games if you play gimmick decks. I've actually used Localized Tornado in a gimmick deck where I just draw a shitload of cards every turn to power up Slifer and I could deck myself out in 2-3 turns. That was several years ago though, and obviously not competitive.
Pot of generosity was used heavily 9 years ago in invoker decks.
The tornado can be used in lightsworn decks to reset your deck and prevent you from milling out, and depending on your field you'll be milling at the end of your turn anyways.
But I can use Pot of Generosity to return my dead Metalzoa in hand back to my deck so I can bring out a 3k beater with it's effect! /s
Tornado is good for stall decks which should be used after pot of avarice in the grave and used on opponent turn with no cards or stuck hand
Localized Tornado was MVP in this deck utilizing Appropriate to deck out the other player.
Remember in duel links when Localized tornado was actually good cuz of the One Card Wonder skill and this trap made an infinite game until your opponent decks out
