In the beginning you mentioned not having issues with villager 3 however you should be aware that he can summon black skull dragon as well as twin headed thunder dragon.
Heres a few useful tip for any of your future runs You might notice when the AI puts something in the backrow, they will only sometimes grey it out If the AI ever grays it out, its a spell card. If they leave it active and dont do that, its a trap card. Combo this with knowledge of what traps the opponent actually plays, you can deduce what theyve got, so you can slam a weak monster into a widespread ruin. Another useful AI trick is that the ai will *never* use raigeki if they have no monsters. And finally to explain why the AI will attack into your stronger monsters: if the difference between your monsters' og attack and your opponents attack would be enough to kill you, they will attack it and do not take any stat boosts into account.
I was going to actually say this! Another useful tip, is that the final six or any STRONG opponent, would either: Raigeky, S. Circle, Crush Card you etc, if you have a strong monster and don't attack and destroy their mosnters, like at 58:37 you didn't attack Seto because you were scared of the greyed out set card, and he could've Raigekid you (it was actually weird he didn't, you got very lucky in the final six run)
another useful, but not entirely consistent trick is of you put a monster in face down attack position your opponents sometimes just refuse to attack. Even if they have something like gate guardian on the field. No clue why they do this and like I said not always going to work, but if you find yourself about to lose and no cards that can save you it can sometimes buy you a turn or two
@@chaossnowkitsune6377 cause they can't see your cards.. But there are opponents I think from heishin 2 forward that can see your face down cards, so that wouldn't work against them. The last trick I remember is against seto 3rd if you play a monster in face down attack position as your opener it makes it likely he won't play BEUD
Really? Huh.. I didn't know that. My main source for any tricks I know of in this game come from my own experience of playing it. I never really bothered looking up guides for it as by the time I had access to the internet I had already played this game for hundreds of hours and knew from trial and error enough of the game to get by. Granted I only beat the game once because I got lucky with a Meteor Black Dragon drop as well as multiple red eyes and meteor dragons to fuse more.
25:26 - Fun fact. As a kid, one of my first duels with Ishizu she dropped a B.Skull Dragon on me and I damn near shit myself. I was like "How do I possibly defeat her?!" And then she just didn't play it again for many duels.

Honestly impressive you managed to beat the game with just Dinosaurs. If I had to do this run I would've limited myself to a field spell and the monsters associated with it but you went a step further and only used one type.
When you talk about how forest mage always seems to have forest for some reason, what's actually happening is that the left card in the AI's hand can become any card in their deck, so sometimes the AI will just cheat. Nothing scarier than final 6 just going straight for the far left turn 1
Actually, it's a bit more complex than that. The AI can have over 5 cards in hand, yes as strange as it sounds, the IA actually has over 5 cards, how many are pre-defined by the opponent you are facing, some has 7, other 6, etc. and NItemare has 15! However the game doesn't show a giant hand of cards because of the UI, instead it will replace the first card in the hand with the card the IA wants to play, so if Seto draws BEUD, and it is on slot 6 or over, it will replace whatever it is on the first position. Also, this was completely intentional by the developers and I don't think its IA 'cheating', This was a workaround to the limit of 3 cards deck to create some interesting challenges for players, FM is still mainly a single-player game and it was designed with some progressive difficult, so by increasing hand size, the latter bosses have more chances of pulling their boss monsters to create some challenge instead of the player almost always stomping them on their 2500- monsters that compound most of the decks due to the limited cards available. Still, this creates a cool dynamic that if you are lucky enough you can still have the chance opponent not pulling their aces and you have can win easier as happened to this run

Excellent and unique series. So glad I found this. Of all the forbidden memories content I have seen I haven’t sent anyone do a single type only! You truly enjoy rng pain! Subbed and looking forward to another video in the series.
My cousin and I were aware of the Twin Headed strat, but because of our obsession with testing fusions, we went with Summoned Skull (Time Wizard + Embryonic Beast) who can use an insane variety of equip cards. Megazowler though, what a freak. That thing looks like it can use nearly everything.
Glad to see someone make a video like this, always felt like "Forbidden Memories, but only with [insert card limitation here]" is a video category with a lot of potential, and one I've only seen GFC (a speedrunner for this game) has ever really tried to dip his toes into before. Looking forward to seeing more! In particular, I'm curious to see how Fairy-only, Reptile-only, and Plant-only go for you, since those were the types I always remembered as being the crappy/useless ones- outside of how they sometimes fuse with other types, at least.
This game is unironically one of my favorites of all time. Great Video, Great Video / series idea. I mean it when I say if you have this series for every archetype I will watch and rewatch and like and subscribe every single video dude. I’ve been starving for FM content and FM content like this
Very well done! My only real complaints are the audio issues, which I know you've addressed already so no worries there, and you mentioning that you're "rambling" multiple times. If anything, a lot of those rambles taught me something new about the game and I enjoyed them, so please don't worry about that so much. You earned a sub from me and I hope to see more of these in the near future.
I loved this game growing up, I never collected the cards but I do play Yu-Gi-Oh and this was the way I played it for a LONG time until I got Eternal Duelist Soul.
NO WAY DID YOU DROP A "THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU" QUOTE AT THE END! :D Great video! I loved that game as a kid even tho I sucked really hard at it. We started noting down fusions on paper and had dozens of pages lying around xD
Gonna comment on this before I watch. I know very little about Forbidden Memories outside of how hard it wrecked me, but I'm so primed to see this video. Thanks in advance!
I really wasnt expecting a Darren and Damo reference, as a fellow aussie i salute you o7. Besides from that, overall, the video is paced very well and you seem to have potential to make it as an up and coming youtuber. Good job and keep it up
Loved this game as kid, never managed to beat the “knightmare” or whatever the last guy is called in the 4+ duel gauntlet part though. So glad to find people making content for this game, even if it is a little rough around the edges it has a special place in my heart.
im so tilted ive never found this channel before this is the exactly the way i like playing the game is doing themed runs. thanks for showing up in my feed
I don't often leave comments because I usually just don't have the drive to, but from start to finish I absolutely adored watching a game I'm familiar with be played with a fresh coat of paint and your commentary makes it all the better. Hopefully with a like and a subscribe the TH-cam algorithm will continue to help you along the way, cheers!
This video popped up in my recommendations and let's say I'm huge fan of this game I wish there more videos like these in TH-cam This was very entertaining to watch, so much effort was put into it and details
Cool video! I look forward to seeing how the other types manage. Not sure if you know this but Pegasus can tell what any face down card you play is, so he can't be bluffed.
There is 1 card worth getting from Shadi, Raigeki, and Shadi is one of 2 best sources of raigeki, other being low ocean mage, both have 36/2048 chance of giving it when you S/A tech them. If you get beast fangs in the meantime it could also be of use in normal playthrough :)
I don't know if this has been answered before, but the suicide glitch is pretty funny. It has to do with how the opponents read attacks, for some reason when you are in range to be killed, it reads a monsters original attack vs its current attack. So it sometimes leads to cases where they will suicide into a monster thinking it will end the duel.
I’ve always wanted to do a run through of FM and purposefully never use Twinheaded, but I’ve never managed to do it because of how stupidly long the grind is. I look forward to seeing runs of FM where the whole point is to avoid those obviously busted fusions.
37:00 - Dunno if anyone else has mentioned this, but that glitch is where the AI looks at your monster's unaltered ATK value compared to its ATK value, and sees that it would reduce your life points to zero. It fails to factor in the equip/field cards. Might be useful info in future - who knows?
that run was super , great idea for a series and i wish i can see it unfold with every type there is . i think you should go for insect now that you finished with dinos .. you know rex and weevil are a duo not to be messed with .
I remember my first NG+ style run and i was excited to fight the pimp named heshin in the beginning and i won, and then got the delightful experience of just fighting him again. I think more games should just give a "good job" ending when you win those unwinnable story fights.
I love this video this game is so much fun and I think your information is so clear compared to a lot of conflicting information about confirmed drops in this game. I’d love to see you do insect next I want to know what insect cards you can actually really get and what you would have to use to win the game (I’m guessing jirai gumo is the best you’ll get)
Honestly a really shocking playthrough, since most players I see instead choose to gun for Meteor B and Twin Headed thunder, while abusing the Starsign bonus for the extra edge. Really cool to see that this game is actually beatable in at least one other way.
There are a lot of ways to beat the game without Twin Headed and MBD. Probably the best way is relying on Summoned Skull (2500 atk card). It's the second best fusion after Twin Headed.
@@MaskedGuyCh Perhaps, but I think the idea is mostly the difficulty of the final gauntlet, combined with the actual cheating the game is doing in the background. Without careful prep, you could run afoul of a Meteor B. Dragon, slay it, only to be met with a Gate Guardian or Ultimate Blue Eyes next turn, perhaps even back to back. This game is a lot of fun, but boy is it ruthless when it counts.
@@GambeTama The final 6 is ruthless no doubt, but with enough preparation (3 Megamorphs and 3 Bright Castles from Pegasus, Widespreads, etc) it's very possible to beat the game without Twin Headed or MBD. It's a good challenge for sure.
I remember as a kid, I fused for Crimson Sunbird and used a ton of equip cards to go to 9999 atk, I would carefully crash weaker monsters into widespread ruin, or fuse machine conversion factory and follow wind to dust the traps away.
Well, you just got yourself a new sub! This concept is really interesting to me and seeing you whoop a game that has whooped me since i was like, 4? is severely satisfying. Would be cool for a reptile run next :)
So, before starting the video I can say yes, you can. FM offers a couple of equips that are of great use for dinosaurs Megamoprth, Bright Castle and the Fangs, on top of that there is the wasteland field spell. If you are on a MOD you can also farm on the side for Swords of Revealing Light. But yes, its absolutely doable, more so if you opt to bring a couple Dian Keto's around because Dian Keto + Dian Keto=Mega Morph. So you can technically field 4 megamoprhs on one monster for a massive swing. As always the problem is: RNG, "will I draw the cards for the marathon of matches near the end, or will I have to re start from 0?"
"Like everyone else in our immediate family is ashamed of us and informs us we should be ashamed too, so we tun away." This was a brilliant line, I giggled and had to explain to my equally ashamed family what I was laughing at 🤣
Apologies for the Audio Fluctuations in this video. PC was having issues switch between webcam mic vs PC mic. Will have it fixed for the next run
In the beginning you mentioned not having issues with villager 3 however you should be aware that he can summon black skull dragon as well as twin headed thunder dragon.

Even knowing there's a marginal chance you *can* win a duel a lot earlier and easier, all that does is make Forbidden Memories seem luck based than offer an exciting challenge with a single-player's difficulty curve.
I like gambling too, but not when losses set me back an hour's worth of my time at bare minimum
@@essentures idk man this feels kinda like the AI cheating, even if it's programmed. The game delibetery doesn't show you the extra hand space so when the 1st card changes, it feels like total cheating. If the UI could communicate the extra hand cards for AI opponents then no one would complain.
the AI is still "cheating" as in, using stuff that the player is just incapable off in a game that is pretending to be a 1:1 mirror for booth partys

You can also make Summoned Skull with Job-Change Mirror and any Fiend monster
Decided to pay a visit to the first video of the series, let the journey begin!
You feed the dinosaurs greatly with the monsters of enemies. Great job.
This game is so nostalgic for us and you are being such a pro.
A funny, entertaining listen for a fellow aussie. Hoping to see a Pyro or Reptile playthrough. Subbed for more.
Definitely on the list. Cannot tell which one is worse in terms of monster drops 😅 both are bad lol
That sounds like self-inflicted torture for sure
I love how he refused to say Isis in the finals, but then made the cheeky joke about Dark Prisoner
Paranoia of youtube scanning videos for stuff like that lol
I played this game for hours as a kid still love it because sometimes its straight ruthless
This game is unironically one of my favorites of all time. Great Video, Great Video / series idea. I mean it when I say if you have this series for every archetype I will watch and rewatch and like and subscribe every single video dude. I’ve been starving for FM content and FM content like this
😂 this is the start, video 2 should be coming soon!
For the Isis name, since she's named after the Egyptian goddess, you could always call her "Eset" which is also the goddess' name.
Def a fan of this type of gameplay. So glad to have stumbled upon this video. Great work!
Great video! I loved that game as a kid even tho I sucked really hard at it. We started noting down fusions on paper and had dozens of pages lying around xD
"And away we go!"
Never seen a playthrough of this game before; what a charming PS1 era game. Looking forward to the fairy playthrough.
Gonna comment on this before I watch. I know very little about Forbidden Memories outside of how hard it wrecked me, but I'm so primed to see this video. Thanks in advance!
It wrecked us all 🤣 i don't think anybody beat this game without a guide
I’ve played this game for literally years.
This is insanely impressive, Instant Sub.
I really wasnt expecting a Darren and Damo reference, as a fellow aussie i salute you o7. Besides from that, overall, the video is paced very well and you seem to have potential to make it as an up and coming youtuber. Good job and keep it up
I was on the fence with doing Daz and Damo, but it was fresh in my head after they re-did the scene as the voice actors themselves
I would watch all of these in a series of different types to beat the games, similar to the Pokémon solo runs. Keep making them! I subbed!
Glad to see this video doing so well, im looking forward to the other monster types 🎉
I think I am looking forward to this series more than anything else on TH-cam currently. Thanks for the content!
Loved this game as kid, never managed to beat the “knightmare” or whatever the last guy is called in the 4+ duel gauntlet part though.
So glad to find people making content for this game, even if it is a little rough around the edges it has a special place in my heart.
Really enjoyed the video brings a lot of good memories, pls make a series with similar challenges
im so tilted ive never found this channel before this is the exactly the way i like playing the game is doing themed runs. thanks for showing up in my feed
This was awesome to watch! I can’t wait to see the later entries with the other card types!
2 mins in and you have a new subscriber. I can feel the care you put into this.
1:00:03 Words cannot express how much this reference is appreciated
I will enjoy watching this video! Been waiting for a challenge video on Forbidden Memories
Loved this video. Can’t wait for more!
Alright, color me impressed. Can't wait to see the Insect-only run.
Rewatching all three before beginning the highly anticipated ritual video, just finished this again.
Love the concept of this vid, got my sub
love the unexplained horns, axes, treasures, and body heat. ofc its possible with enough re-ing in that case
Seeing the humble beginnings of dinosaurs really hits home how great dinosmashers fury truly was with creating a good dinosaur deck
Friggen 100% agree with this!
Love this video!1 Never knew there was a predecessor to duelists of the roses- really brings me back! thanks for the hard work!
More of this please! Love seeing this game.
As someone who doesn't play much yugioh, but loves dinosaurs in magic the gathering, hell yeah
🫡
This video popped up in my recommendations and let's say I'm huge fan of this game
I wish there more videos like these in TH-cam
This was very entertaining to watch, so much effort was put into it and details
Really well put together video! Would love to see more like it in the future
This was so entertaining!! Love this challenges! I would love to see more videos like this with a different type!
I’m surprisingly enjoying this content. I would love to see more, doing other archetypes. Hope to see others.
Such a cool idea! Would love to see this challenge with other deck types!
Just ordered a copy after winning $50 on a scratch ticket 😂 love duelist of roses but this is my first video researching forbidden memories
Congrats!! Best of luck on the playthrough it will make you wish you hadn't 😅
You're getting to the point where people can binge and watch your content in loops. Good shit bro.
Thank you my dude! Im just blown away that ive made it this far
This my friend has earned a subscription. I'd love to see more of these type of challenges.
Just a heads up man it doesnt seem like pointless rambling and time filling. Its just information and i liked it.
Honestly didn't expect the Boondocks or TWEWY references. Lol
I’ve always wanted to do a run through of FM and purposefully never use Twinheaded, but I’ve never managed to do it because of how stupidly long the grind is. I look forward to seeing runs of FM where the whole point is to avoid those obviously busted fusions.
4:38 "We start things off hard and strong"
*picks Little D*
37:00 - Dunno if anyone else has mentioned this, but that glitch is where the AI looks at your monster's unaltered ATK value compared to its ATK value, and sees that it would reduce your life points to zero. It fails to factor in the equip/field cards. Might be useful info in future - who knows?
Hey dude excellent video. I really wish they would make it updated version of this game. I always loved the presentation and its really charming.
that run was super , great idea for a series and i wish i can see it unfold with every type there is .
i think you should go for insect now that you finished with dinos ..
you know rex and weevil are a duo not to be messed with .
Insect is definitely on the list. I need to set up a handicap for it for the shenanigans i'm able to pull
I remember my first NG+ style run and i was excited to fight the pimp named heshin in the beginning and i won, and then got the delightful experience of just fighting him again. I think more games should just give a "good job" ending when you win those unwinnable story fights.
'I will play a dinosaur limitation'
Okay
'My wincon is Raigeki'
Ah, I see this is not a challenge run, but a Forbidden Memories power run
22:00 "As with everything else, his level cap is around 2000"
The Calculator would like to know your location
Please do more, I would like to see Zombie and Insects! Good work and good luck on your next run, Im really looking forward for it!
I love this video this game is so much fun and I think your information is so clear compared to a lot of conflicting information about confirmed drops in this game. I’d love to see you do insect next I want to know what insect cards you can actually really get and what you would have to use to win the game (I’m guessing jirai gumo is the best you’ll get)
Rewatching this series, its great ❤
Fastest subscription I think I have ever done. I can't wait to see what other deck you make if you keep going!
I thoroughly enjoyed your Jono impression, truly top notch.
Honestly a really shocking playthrough, since most players I see instead choose to gun for Meteor B and Twin Headed thunder, while abusing the Starsign bonus for the extra edge.
Really cool to see that this game is actually beatable in at least one other way.
My exact thoughts while playing it. I'm going into these completely blind half expecting to lose!
Looking forward to more of these! Good watch.
I've been yearning for this content for years. Thanks so much!
This was a great video! Glad its blowing up for ya! Well deserved, cheers 👌
"Like everyone else in our immediate family is ashamed of us and informs us we should be ashamed too, so we tun away." This was a brilliant line, I giggled and had to explain to my equally ashamed family what I was laughing at 🤣
that is content! Thank you very much for all the work!
I like this "Rex Raptor" style run!... Spellcaster or Machine type next be cool.
Spellcaster would be kinda nice because you don't have to main deck Yami in the gauntlet when the field starts out as dark anyway.
Loved this game as a kid, but your version of the lore is a vast improvement.
Severely underrated. thanks for the trip down memory lane. ;)
