Finally somebody who explained it well. My voice guide turn on somehow and I couldn’t off it and the pointer disappeared. I didn’t know the two things are connected. Thanks for exposing.
Here is the answer you're all needing. First, you have to edit the quick menu options (the options you have when you press the settings button); Then, include the option "screen off" by clicking on the + button (you'll have to remove one option if there are no slots available). Press "home" to get rid of this quick menu. Unregister the remote by holding back + home. After you get the pop-up message, press the settings button to open the quick menu. From there, go to "screen off" and press the scroll wheel. You will barely see a pop-up message that the remote is being registered again, but the screen will go off. Finally, just press the scroll wheel again so the screen will turn on, and that's it. You can scroll the wheel or press the scroll wheel all you want and it won't come back. . Bear in mind that the scroll function will no longer work and the microphone function will also cease.
Permanent Solution: Press and hold back eturn button until power button begins flashing. Pointer will be permanently disabled and remote device unregister. You will see a message in upper right corner of TV screen. To re-enable, hold down scroll button until power button begins flashing on remote. Pointer will return. Simple, done
LG replaced the circuit board in my TV. Now the pointer won't work. I tried the options in the vid, but it won't work. No sure why. If anyone knows, please reply.
Hold down the home and back button for 10 second. It will reregister the remote and reconnect it, if you use the wheel or scroll with it. It should appear

Mouse cursor should be on by standard out of the box.
If all else fails unplug the TV at the wall for 20 seconds.
