The second game seems to be a lot less unforgiving and generally easier than the first one. Even the spikes and bottomless pits no longer insta-kill you.

As a valencian both the name and the flute like sound in his fight both remind me of summer :T. Since its the time of the year i always hear it
I love the way he influences the music. Him, Orospina, and Eviterno were all great encounters. Radames is where I got my perfect.
Radamés is easily the most metal though

Third phase gave me a lot of trouble until I realized the trick of staying between Sleeping Infanta and Lesmes at all times.

after fighting Eviterno, I couldn't believe it was possible to win without receiving a ton of damage but this... this is perfection.

After I beat eviterno on my second play through (one achievement got bugged) it felt very easy to beat all bosses.
@@kredenc666 I can give you a tip. Upgrade Veredicto and use statues that will give it bonus damage, and also use statues that give you bonuses on Fevour (especially regenerating Fevour while attacking). Use the prayer called Seguiriya to the Memory of your Eyes (located in Profundo Lamento) to stop time for a moment, then use it to give as much damage as you can. It worked for me :)
I really love that despite being a busy guy, you can still showcase all 3 weapons in this video. The weapon system in Blasphemous 2 feels so good. It's like an evolved version of what was in Hollow Knight. You don't need to grind to upgrade weapons, all the customisations are already there.

@@eddible544 don't take that too literally and seriously. By "similar to HK", I mean an upgrade system that you can alter and customise as you please at any point without wasting time into grinding fest, like in Dark Souls. This is one aspect of HK that I really enjoy and people rarely talk about it, hence the mention.
@@MinhNguyen-ti5yb ah my bad, thought you meant the combat itself which is very different, I’m a big fan of just upgrades/alterations in the gameplay through equipment/accessories myself. Big reason why the metroidvania category is so good.

Honestly i had a lot of doubts when i saw there were multiple weapons, i always prefer a single well done weapon rather than a bunch of "meh" weapons, but i was so surprised to see the combat became even better thanks to it, going from ruego del alba ascending slash to change mid air to veredicto to to the aereal fire ignition feels so satisfying, the same goes when you have veredicto and do a last second swap to parry an incoming attack with another weapon. The best and most fun way to play the boss fights is by constantly changing weapons
Blasphemous has some of the coolest boss designs
The music and sound design for Afilaor is so good. The little flute riffs for the jump attacks and when they're sharpening their sword, and the *tink tink tink!* when his spin attack knocks away the spears they threw at you. So satisfying.
Blasphemous will never fail. The character designs, the music, the rage modes!! 🔥 🔥

Seeing that remembrance of Krisanta saddened me. She's my favorite character.
notably, she appears absent from the ensemble in Ending A, and one of her ribbons billows in the wind after the endcredits. maybe she was resurrected, and we'll see more of her?
It's incredible how effective the rapier and dagger can be when used by someone who never gets hit. The skill ceiling for this game is going to be insane.
I think they're the best weapons in the game, and I sucked major ass nearly the whole way through my playthrough. When I finally beat Eviterno, I felt like I went through the Blasphemous equivalent of puberty.
@@HalfStepTides After several playthroughs, I feel like you could be right. It's probably the best-suited for most boss fights, with a few exceptions. Trying to kill Susona with the rapier and dagger is the worst, lol.

Can we talk about Radamés using the people who used him as a club, and being weighed down by their sins, and then EATING THEM LIKE SATURN EATING HIS SON and being able to stand 90% fully? Like after that even though he's doing things like sprouting those crystal knives and slamming himself against the walls, he seems less weighed down by the guilt of other people's sins and more just angry. He's casting spells he's gaining a scythe so on and so on

So in the good ending, he finally reaches the blissful heaven? Does this mean… maybe there is a Supreme Deity who resurrected him and the High Wills were like a Demiurge imposter?
That seems to be the implication. The High Wills were Absolutely an Impostore deity, they were Born by the prayers for penitence from the people of Custodia, then they usurped the Power of the miracle to get immortality and Power.
I believe this second chapter confirms the existence of another divine being, greater than the Miracle, Who Is the One that reawakes the Penitent One and sends Anunciada to help us during the game
The way I read it is that the "High Wills" were just another expression of "the Miracle," albeit slightly more sentient than the others. The "Penitent One" is also an expression of the Miracle. As confirmed by "Incarnate Devotion."
It's basically the idea that all things are a part of God.
Yep. At 38:21 Anunciada mentions the “High Dramatist” who people on the Discord presume to be the true source of all holiness who sent the Children of Moonlight, Anunciada and the Four Envoys
The Miracle fits the Demiurge archetype quite well. A false god who dwells in a false, cold heaven (The Eternal Procession) and is fueled by the misery of mankind. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s also animal-like just like the Gnostic Demiurge as it goes berserk after the High Wills die

I to eviteno always used a somewhat particular technique, I used the magic that blocks time for a few seconds and in the meantime I attacked it with the veredicto. Simply put, he never moved because he was always stuck in the time bubble. of course I had a build on big and fast mana recovery
Some of the things said in this game would make more sense if it was better worded: "the devotion of the many was made incarnate and suffered pain" would be easier to digest if it was more like "the devotion of the many was made incarnate but it (this incarnated devotion) suffered pain".
An exploration of the lore has exposed this story as very very shallow. It's like a shoddy cabinet covered with gold filigree to hide its inadequacy.
The game has some of the coolest animations ive see in a 2D metroidvania

Orospina's dialogue it's so grandilocuent for she to die speechless...
A lot of the fights take place in dark/ cavernous areas, so the soundtracks in them feel like the game using mind games.
I liked the old pixilated cut scenes better. They where way more creepy.

What about their sins? Their devotion?
Why the Miracle chose them and gave them their form?
Some of them tells after the battle, others remain unknown.

Lesmes,Orospina and Radames have cut-scenes and alterpieces. Benedicta, Oden and Thousands Voices have their own stories in their quest items and Svsona has a quest npc for her lore.

Orospina, Lesmes and Radames have lore in the 3 main weapon altarpieces.
The other bosses have lore in the key items they drop.
(Except Afilaor, Can't seem to find lore about him anywhere, He just shows up out of nowhere, proceeds to be one of the best bosses in all of Blasphemous and then gets defeated)

DLC will have the true true ending where we save crisanta. The post credit scene teases it with her cloth

A. We don't see her in ending A with the penitent one and her ribbons flow hinting at her return
B. The miracle works in weird ways, The PO was brought back twice in the main story, Maybe with some conditions, She can be brought back to life

Imo in terms of encounters and boss fights the games difficulty was the same as the firsts but the new tools we get and the facts it was designed to be less frustrating in general. Making it easier. It sort of reminds me of how blasphemous was originally before dlc and updates

If you go to the channel section, you'll also see Jaimers and XellosDarkSlayer. Which are 2 other skilled gamers. I believe Jaimers has a focus more on arcade games (I discovered some shmups from this channel) while Xellos has more focus on older well known games.
