    29:30 it is perfectly fine to use option D in the question where IT stands for the salary. Ask any native speaker, and the option E is right too where THAT plays the same role as IT in D. That is just a bad way to trick people to be honest when you can grammatically say two options right.

    Why does order matter for the 3 and the 5, but not for the others? I'm confused because I don't know what part of the question implied that we had to use permutation for the 3 and 5, but combination for the others.

    Can someone please help with 55:00? I got 720 in like 40 seconds but just because I decided that since its an "and" question and the numbers are being defined exactly, it could also say how many combinations are there for the first 6 letters of the alphabet... 6! = 720

    Could anyone clarify why there are four arrangements--78, 87, 77 and 88-- for the last two digits in the question 6? The question says "each of the other digits is a 7 or an 8," which seems like 77 or 88 to me.

    I've got a question about problem number 6, the one about permutations and combinations. When I tried to figure out what was going in the problem during the pause, I just said to myself: well there are 6 number and each one could go in each space, so the total combination of different outcomes must be 6! = 720. The answer is right, but the reasoning is totally different and so here's the question: is it just a coincidence that I got the right answer with this reasoning or is it another right way to reach the right answer ? thank you

    I think that they are over emphasizing on the importance of GMAT in selection process. If you score above 700, it’s a tick on the selection process. There is a lot more to admission process than GMAT. GMAT helps the colleges to establish that you as a candidate are smart enough to study and pass an MBA program. Nothing more, nothing less. They are a GMAT prep company and survey was conducted by them. There are no real statistics to back up the survey (who did they speak to, how many people they surveyed).
    The fact that they misleading the test takers in believing GMAT is far more than important than it really is, in itself makes me lose faith in their prep course.

    • @animeonly1993
      @animeonly1993 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the reason why u absolutely need 700+ on GMAT is for the admission office to even consider looking at your profile. It doesn't matter if u have 10 years of experience in Wall st or a famous wildlife conservationist, since by the time they even get to your below 700 score profile, the spots would all have been filled out

    • @FlyesttKidAround
      @FlyesttKidAround 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You forget to mention that a score is used to improve the school’s gmat average - a statistic used in the school’s ranking. That in itself makes a gmat score pretty important to a prospective applicant. The fact that a gmat score is used as a standardized comparison among applicants is also important because the comparison becomes more objective. It’s common knowledge that a GMAT score carries the highest weight out of all criteria when it comes to business school acceptance. People tend to confuse that with, a high GMAT score is sufficient to top business school acceptance. While a score alone may not be sufficient for business school acceptance, it is far more than a tick mark and this can be corroborated by admissions consultants as well.

    • @TheDinobull
      @TheDinobull 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Dorian Graczyk in GMAT , a 500 scorer and a 720+ scorer can have the same number of wrong answers, blew my mind when i heard it the first time too. :P
      And also, there are a few stock questions that GMAC puts within the exam, that carry no weightage at all. They're just given to help GMAC analyze whether they can include it in the next year's syllabus or not.
      So for e.g. a) if u waste over 3-3.5 mins time on a tough question and get the answer, it still might just mean it was a stock question with 0 marks; and b) if u randomly get an easy question after a series of tough ones, do not assume that it's because you've been answering wrong! It might just be an irrelevant stock question.

  • @doriangraczyk
    @doriangraczyk 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    17:48 so if I would do it the other way I would score less point or no? for me your method took longer time to break the numbers rahter then just calculate it by paper immediately step 1 105*105*105= 1157625, step 2 21*25*45= 23625, step 3 1157625 /23625 = 49
