FIRMWARE Update for v1.0.5.4 Received this from FLSUN just moments ago. As I mentioned in the video FLSUN has been VERY responsive and is committed to producing a quality machine. --- Here are FLSUN T1 Firmware Version V1.0.5.4 update instructions, online upgrade is available. 1. Optimized system files to significantly increase available storage space. 2. Enhanced the time-lapse photography function and fixed the issue of generating time-lapse videos abnormally. 3. Fixed the potential clogging issue during filament retraction. 4. Improved the heated bed leveling function. 5. Enhanced power failure recovery functionality. 6. Improved the usability of the pages and the ease of flipping through them. 7. Optimized the startup wizard logic to reduce the time needed and enhance user experience. 8. Fixed the issue where the camera might not be recognized when plugged in or out. 9. Resolved the problem where printing could fail if the file name contained certain special characters. 10. Fixed the issue where the printer would not automatically turn off the screen or could not wake the screen after it turned off. 11. Resolved the issue of incomplete display of some UI content. 12. Fixed the issue where the nozzle did not automatically cool down after pausing printing. Now, the nozzle temperature drops to 90 degrees after pausing. 13. Fixed the issue where WiFi did not automatically connect after startup. 14. Resolved the issue where filament loading and unloading were not supported during printing pause. 15. Other known issues fixed.
I wouldn't give them any money until they actually fix those software/firmware issues. Another one of FLSUN's printers has the same issue and it hasn't been fixed yet.
I have the S1 and have not noticed the z drift. Bed adhesion, I never had a problem because new out of the box I washed the build plate and then put vision minor on it :) Fan recommendation, it doesn't need to be 100% all the time, I bump it up on short layer times and overhangs. Makes it much more tolerable.
I had a K1 Max a year ago and sold it as it kept jamming. I see the P1P is on sale right now for $449 (only $100 more than this when you add their tax and shipping), so p1p seems a better option that this? I want to do helmets and stuff
Have Predator and Mini Delta. 370mm with 450mm Z... nice. 2019 it must be the grandfather of t1 and the v400 is nearly identical with 2 or 3 upgrades. Deltas are true robotic creatures and mesmerizing to watch. Of course I have Prusa and Bambu as well DLP, SLA Resin Printers. Micro to Macro prints!
I got it brand new for cheap from a guy who's wife wasn't happy with his 6th printer, it's insanely good, it's slower than my m5s with high speed resin, but way less of a pain. it chugged through terrible ABS (bought if for 6 bucks a kilo like 8 years ago, and the roll I tried stayed under a window), it prints no issue with no brim just glue stick (except it waiting for it to get to temp if I set a different temperature so I have to specifically slice for abs or put it on the default temp, and quickly pause after it starts to set the correct temperature (especially annoying because I have to wait for the bed to come down to 60 then back up to 100C).)
Thanks for the review! I want a delta! I learned lots. I’m just a hobby guy who’s retired so I have no business aspirations. That said, printers are just interesting toys to me.
I have had my eye on the V400 for a while now. I think the difference in speed and noise is the deal breaker on this one for me. I have a bed slinger and corexy, so I want to experience the delta next. Just a matter of budgeting for it. Great video though, especially since the other videos I have seen never explained the coned Z volume principles of these machines.
Your video convinced me to buy this printer! And it was printing great! However, after 50 print hours, there was an abundance of stringing that wasn't even fixed by drying the filament/swapping the nozzle/or slowing the print down. This was with PLA, and with the same filament when I first got the printer, there was no stringing at all. Any tips on reducing it?
Stringing can be too high of temperature or a profile setting like retraction among some other things. Are you in our discord?! loyal.ms/discord Love to help you make sure you get great prints! I'd start with some simple, smaller models and see if we can figure out when the stringing starts.
Speed seems to be all the rage at the moment in the 3D printing sphere, but if it comes at the cost of quality I'm not interested. Getting mediocre prints fast isn't good enough. We didn't get a lot of close-ups in this video to look at layer lines, but even at the insane speed this thing was printing, the results looked pretty smooth with what you showed us. That's impressive, to say the least. If it's able to maintain a high degree of quality and lay down a print at a significant speed, then I really don't care about the noise. And that delta is just a thing of beauty compared to a core-XY or bed slinger. This T1 has definitely got my attention. I'll have to do some more research, but if FLSUN is good about customer support after the sale, it might be a done deal. Such a cool machine!!
I've been using the T1 for almost 3 weeks now, super fast and everything is fine except for the noise which is about 80 decibels and about the noise I call it the roar of a beast
Hey LM and team! As always, love your energy and the quality of content that you put out! I will say, like a lot of other printers that have been released lately - I still think that this machine is not fully ready, and falls into that category of "hype up and underdeliver" that a number of 3D printing companies have been doing as of late. Again, I understand that this is your livelihood - but perhaps a few more disclaimers that consumers should wait before issues and profiles are resolved (which should honestly come BEFORE a printer release these days, but hey). Anyhow - keep it up!
Thank you, I appreciate it! FLSUN has already released a firmware update for it, which I already knew was coming. I disagree, I don’t think this is over hyped, this machine is freaking awesome, and I say exactly what I believe. I also don’t think people should wait, profiles make things better but are not required. It had profiles available from day 1, I just want more of them. Thanks for commenting!
Amazing price and thank you, that is very kind! I love making videos like this when I really like the machine! YES nano polymaker adhesive is awesome!!!
I bought my first 3D printer, an Creality Ender 3 V3 3 years ago and remember it taking an absolute age to print my Death Star lamp shade, inc failures!! I recently upgraded to FLSun T1. Like going from a Mini Moke to a Bentley Continental!!
Yes they were, and just before the video upload, there were updates to the slicer profiles, and I printed the ABS cylinder for the music portion of the video with that newly available profile.
Is it better than the S1 then? Nobody I have seen can get any faster than a BL with the S1, as it cannot reach the necessary speed on a model that fits on the plate (acceleration). Also, all reviews I have seen say it cannot produce quality prints. I have to say too, that while my FLSun delta was good for a few months, it soon started getting bed levelling problems (crashing during levelling), uneven extrusion and general lower quality than when new. The supplied profiles were few and inaccurate. I would need a LOT of convincing to buy one of these now
Sorry to hear that, and that’s what a bad experience can do, it affects future purchases! I haven’t used the S1, so I can only share my experience with this machine, which has been great.
@@LoyalMoses Of course. And that's why reviews with comments are so useful. Any reviewer can only say what their experience was, which is the reason for looking at multiple reviews. Thanks for replying and for the review.👍
I own an S1 and it's excellent. Most of the "reviews" on it are absolute garbage or from shills that have paid associations with other printer brands. A lot of the things you will hear complaints about are complaints that would only ever bother a content creator, not a normal user. Likewise, many of the complaints are already solved! Many of the reviews were on pre-release firmware. It's important to note that products like this are not static. Whatever you hear in a review is likely be completely false within a matter of months, if not days!
@@LoyalMoses Does the seemingly small vacuum cleaner looking hose that connects to the effector, connect ultimately to the loud fan by chance? I am betting yes?
Those are completely different products. Gloop is an adhesive that welds plastics together, Vision Miner is a build plate adhesive that holds prints down while printing.
So one has to ask what makes your experience different from everyone else's review. Most reviews say to stay away from the T1 and yes I understand software can be upgraded so did the others miss this point? No, That is how the product was released you seemed to have overlooked just about all the reported issues. Most of the printouts I've seen had been horrible and these guys had done thousands of reviews so they are not amateurs. None of them ended the video telling the subscriber to purchase the product with all these issues.
Simple. I don’t carry other content creator’s baggage. I share my experience and don’t waste my time trying to figure out who is creating content for drama or clicks. Remember the SV08? At that time it was hip to hate on that machine because a bunch of insecure Voron people were upset. Turns out, I was one of the few that actually showed my experience, which was great and although there were small issues similar to this one with z-offset, the printer is awesome and people love it. I mean, you saw it printing… I did two live streams yesterday on TH-cam and Twitch with it printing, with zero problems. My experience was great, I share that, and move on.
@@LoyalMoses So what was all the fuss about from the other reviews. When you have that many responding in the negative something is not right. I guess you have the one that magic. Consider yourself very lucky.
Really great video and editing quality! It's super awesome to see the improvements over time. I've watched a few other reviews of the T1 and most have been pretty negative. I think they may have been a bit biased. Thank you for the honest review!
Thank you so much! You can tell when I really enjoy the machine and want to share it! I want to keep this one in the studio! We’ll print with it during the show, so you all can see it!
I was told I was getting both... I haven't reached out and checked. I'm a super patient guy and we have way too many machines as it is. It will be fun when it gets here no doubt. I think the firmware will be squared away when it does, so I am excited.
Deltas are great toys, but not good space to print volume compared to say a corexy or even bed slingers. I just like watching them and ok to use if you don’t mind huge amounts of maintenance.
Oh. Mine didn’t experience any height printing issues. Just the normal shape of a delta print volume and we even printed maximum height more than we did small objects,
I've been watching this printer for awhile-- there seem to be two issues. One, it's loud. No, really, LOUD. I don't have a space where I can use it. Two, there seem to be some serious quality control issues-- you got a good one, but unless I'm going to assume that every youtuber who's had a problem with the T1 is a lying mcliarface, FLSUN has some QC issues. Unless someone figures out how to make it quieter, it's a no go for me, which is a shame-- I really want a modern delta printer. Secondly-- Vision Miner Nano Polymer is really, Really, REALLY good stuff. When the bed is over 55C, everything sticks. When it's 30C or under, everything pops right off. ASA/ABS do seem to "exhaust" the coating faster than PLA / PETG, but I'm getting a dozen or more large prints off of each application.
You should definitely watch as many reviews as possible, but I stopped watching the reviews from the channels that *always* have problems with printers. Over the last 2 years or so, it's been hip to have a bad experience, it drives clicks / views absolutely. As for loud, YES IT IS LOUD! SO LOUD! It's the loudest machine I have ever had in the studio. But it is amazingly fun and cool and so freaking fast.
I have T1 , very fast, everything works great, about 75 decibels in operation (closed hatch, about 80-85 decibels with hatch open). I have contacted FLSun and they got back to me that they are optimizing and will make sure it is controlled around 60, But they haven’t replied to me yet with a specific date, but they told me it will be soon.
