Extremely pleased to have them on the bike now, worth the over 2 month wait to get them from Germany to the UK... unbelievable!!!

Yeah I can see your dilemma mat and gloss .. with front and rear now fitted, do you think if the bike was to hit the deck, 😞 in a stationary fall, will the panniers survive? What apart from the crash bars, would hit the deck?
BTW I subscribed, and looking forward to the footage from the new camera.
Thanks a million!!!! I’d like to think the bars would take the brunt of the damage… that and the handle bar grips / brake or clutch levers in a stationary fall.
I had a 2021 Honda that went over in my own garage and luckily I had the bolt on side protectors (the small stubby ones that bolt to the frame) and they saved the day. Front brake lever and handle grip got damaged and a small scuff to the end can but that was it. Could have been so much worse and put the fear into me not having anything on the Sport Glide to do the same.
I think the saddlebags would have greater clearance possibly without the sissy bar mounting bolts extending them out slightly more now? Not noticeable to the eye but must be another 5mm out by now?
