He’s entirely right what he said around the 6:00 mark, so many people I know who bought N cars would have never considered Hyundai who have high praise for the brand now due to these cars. They are wonderful driving cars
Hyundai N team is doing it right. I have the VN. One of the best cars I’ve owned. N cars offer the best performance value proposition in the mkt. Reliable too.
As a proud owner of a Kona N and coming from a MK7.5 GTI, all I can say is thank you to the N crew. Also, a $50,000 rwd making 400-450 whp sounds good to me 😉.
As a N owner of the 24 and a previous owner of the 22 n line, I really appreciate this video and in depth talk and details about things! Would love to see more about this as a fan and owner of this brand, such a huge community and even growing more now because of this!
As a proud owner of a 2022 Elantra N for 2+ years and 33,000 miles, the only thing I wish that was available as an option would an alternative to the sport bucket seats. As much as I love the way they look, they leave a lot to be desired in the comfort area, mainly they’re just too narrow. If the seat from the Kona N was an option, like the Aussies get, the car would be perfect. Maybe something to consider for a future EN? Otherwise the car is nearly impossible to nitpick. It’s absolutely the best performance per dollar vehicle out there, as well as the most engaging driving experience. If you asked me even just 5 years ago if I’d ever consider buying a Hyundai, I would’ve laughed in your face. The Elantra N has made me a believer!
Wishlist: Elantra N Wagon. I want a one-car solution. Hatchback or wagon. No SUV garbage. Totally onboard with performance hybrid variants, just please make wagon/hatchback variants. The biggest thing keeping me away from the Elantra N right now is that it is a sedan.
Wagon N is an interesting idea but to be honestly, I really don't see a wagon being that much more practical than the current Sedan. I have a 22 EN and constantly impressed with how much I can fit in the trunk. Yes, you may be able to add in some larger/tall items in a wagon but I'm sure you'd probably lose rear seat space.
As far as future N products, do not stray from ICE vehicles for the mid to long term. As interesting as the ioniq 5N is, its not what the mainstream enthusiast buyer would want. I will be more than willing to continue to purchase ICE/mild hybrid products at the $35-$55k range as long as they keep the original N DNA.
I own 2 N cars, Kona N and Ioniq 5 N. I wanna applaud the engineering team for making these amazing cars, you guys nailed it! But I also want to expresa my dissatifaction to their QC team. Both of my cars came with some sort of paint or trim defect from the factory..and my Ioniq 5 N has rattles left and right. Seriously WTF were they drinking soju? Ioniq 5 N is a first car in Hyundai history that has wealthy buyers interested in buying. (I know a few owners that have Italian exotics) and it's a big disappointment that QC is so subpar. I still love my Ioniq 5 N though. Once you are driving you forget everything else. But you definitely gotta improve Hyundai
As an enthusiast of the global automotive industry, I have to say George, your interviews are spot on! And, near the end of the interview, you totally read my mind on what I think of EVs and what I want. I live in Canada, Alberta to be precise. If you remember waaay back, Hyundai ventured first into Canada before they entered the US. A smart move as a training ground in preparation for the US market. So, I hope Hyundai still has a soft spot for us Canucks as I issue forth my thoughts. In Canada, and I mean across Canada not just Van, Tor and Mtl, EVs have too many variables that still need to be worked out to be a practical choice, let alone an enthusiast's choice. As an enthusiast, I view the Ioniq 5N as an interesting experiment in "what if"? Maybe you'll get a younger less experienced enthusiast buyer who might put down money for it, but a true enthusiast wants the real thing providing a more genuine experience. I'll happily trade the speed for a real transmission and actual engine. The old adage, it's more fun to drive a slow car fast ... you know the rest. Now, with respect to the 75N concept, I'd buy that in a heartbeat! I'd gladly pay $75-$100k CAD for that car. If it's able to cash the cheque it's looks seems to write, then George is absolutely correct, Mike, when he says you'd sell every one you'd make! The hatches and sedans are for the younger buyer. You need a car for the more mature enthusiast who has more money, or for the younger buyer to eventually upgrade to. If George is right and Hyundai is thinking generationally (not sure that's an actual word 🙂), then you're grooming your current generation of enthusiasts who are currently buying N product into AMG and Corvette buyers. The EV offering you have is not an upgrade, but rather for the next generation of young buyer all jacked up on smartphone fever, not the enthusiast looking for an upgrade to a genuine sports car. So, bottom line: If Hyundai is truly serious, Mike, and I mean *really serious* about performance vehicles, it will be tantamount to gross negligence to pass up the opportunity to bring the 75N to market, styled as-is with a premium interior (cause I know how car companies like to cut corners on that last part, underestimating how a quality interior is *really important* for the mature buyer with money). As mentioned, Mike, you'll have a best seller on your hands, and with that 80's retro look, I'm the perfect mature enthusiast buyer who will plunk down $75k to $100k CAD for one. You can count on that because I currently paid $115k CAD for my C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible three years ago. As it stands, I'm now looking down the barrel of an AMG CLE53 as my second car and swap out my Volvo (only cause the AMG E53 wagon is not Canada-bound in spite of my best attempts 😮💨). So, if you want my money, you know what to do.
So for further context as a Korean American. In Korea there's a general culture called "Bali Bali" with translates to "Hurry Hurry". As someone who also worked in the tech field the cadence that Hyundai is pushing is completely relatable.
I have a 20 VN. My favorite car I've owned by far. Love what N is doing. In my opinion the N 74 could be legendary if brought to production as a 6 cylinder turbo hybrid around 70k or less. And could be offered in different varients, a full EV, NA hybrid etc...
As far as the Sonata N-line, something like a LSD would at least help a lot with the suggested performance considering its the horsepower leading sedan for ICE Hyundai. Also moon roofs with the manual would be grand 👀
It's an N-line, not an N. It's not supposed to have an LSD. Much higher more focused cars lack LSDs. Funnily enough, on a dyno it's not actually their highest HP car considering how underrated the EN is from factory
I've owned 1 Hyundai. It was a 2010 Genesis Coupe GT. I drove it for 5 years and loved it. I'd have bought a Genesis version of that car. I, did, eventually buy a Kia Stinger GT2 because it was the closest thing, 10 years later, that I could buy. Put the 3.5 twin turbo v6 in a sleek coupe that has both Hyundai and Genesis versions. Also do a convertible for the Genesis version. I'd buy one the day that new car interest rates fell below 4% again, if not sooner.
Comparing the price of the C8 to the Supra and Z is a bit of a mistake. The C8 starts at over $70k now, and Enthusiasts buy the Z51 model and no option cars are rarities, most C8's are in the $80-100k range. The Supra and Z are in the $50-65k range, a significant price bracket lower.
Buyers BEWARE, We have a 2021 Veloster N. We love it, we've had no mechanical issues. However we have defective Paint, It is well in its legal rights to be repaired but Hyundai refuses to fix it. Even though it's still covered under its 3 year paint warranty AND it hasn't been voided because the cars been under 36,000 miles. We've been fighting them for over a year, and if they won't help you with paint (keep in mind ONLY the hood) GOOD LUCK having them warranty their 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Cause your car will be sitting there dead for like 2+ years considering we've fought them for a year on paint.
it’s honestly a shame, I’ve really loved the car. But it leaves such a sour taste considering a HUGE selling point is their long and huge umbrella of coverage from their warranties. BUT what’s the point if they’re going to do absolutely EVERYTHING to NOT enforce it? Like I said, if they’ll fight you for over a year for $976 dollars in paint for your hood. How many years will your car be dead in your yard fighting for the powertrain warranty?
@@meCmoni 3 Dealerships as of yet, they’ve put “attempts” to Hyundai America. Instead of marking it as Warranty work. ( Which a Service Manager stated they REFUSE to put under warranty ) They’re asking Hyundai it repair it marked as “Good Will” and they’ve been refused. A dealership also refused to even see the car, Hyundai America said they aren’t allowed to do this. So they gave us an appointment remotely with the dealership.
As a Nthusiast for the near future the cars I would like to see come to North America in this order, - revised i30N from Europe - full blown N version of a Tucson or suv bigger than Kona
If you group all the Elantra N variants together, there are more than just color/transmission choices. Including all markets into consideration, some Elantra N come with different seats, rear vents, and sunroof on the manual transmission. There is also the option of auto pilot on certain KDM Avante N. These, if lined up, would qualify as "trims" or, at the very least "options". A good question to have asked would have been about the Elantra N next generation. Anything at all would have been interesting since he said he couldn't go into future things. Maybe at the very least elude to what the powertrain might be...AWD, hybrid?, 2.5L G-TDi?, etc.
Disagree that the Supra priced too close to the vette was a problem. Being tied to the Z4 was more of a problem initially. Buyers of the Supra are JDM fans.
Agreed. I'm not thinking about the Corvette till my retirement party, no matter how good the base stingray is for the money. I was upset at the Supra because dealers near me continue to mark them up regardless of how long im willing to wait in line, so im just not considering it. And the Z isn't actually being built, unless you want the auto version that each dealership has on their showroom floor as eye candy, purposely marked up because the production is so low and the dealers Don't actually want to sell it.
Lets be real, most of the people who’ve driven the cars like how it drives, and most of those people trying it out are JDM fans. There’s no real deficiency about how the Supra drives . But it is expensive enough to compete with a premium sports car that does drive even better. Being JDM hasn’t been helping the Nissan Z I’m sad to say. And it still has chassis dynamics and in Nismo scheme performance akin to what was loved with Z cars in the past generation. “Authenticity” helps with cars for sure, but value helps even better.
Boy that affordable word sure means a lot of different things for people from coast to coast. Ive owned a VN a KN and 2 Elantra N's BRING BACK THE KONA N! And big guy seats in the EN and KN.
Great interview. About the sunroof, I am not a fan, especially in an enthusiast car. Love the Manual option though. About the new halo sports car, I think basically another bite at the G70 Sport (ie, manual transmission) with a the concept looks would work, if they can commit more resources to a better MT & Clutch feel. Not sure about what engine would work with the MT hardware they would use though.
Alright, now that I've watched the full episode, I'd honestly want a N Coupe or Genesis N. Unfortunately, I was never in a situation where I could learn to drive a manual, so having an 8-speed auto transmission (DCT) would be awesome. I don't really mind an EV as long as it has the same engine rev sounds as the IONIQ 5 N. Ideally, the car would be RWD or AWD, just not FWD. That's one of the limiting factors of the Elantra N. I'd honestly want to track it regularly. I'd be willing to spend 40k ~ 60k, so around the same price as a Nissan Z or Supra. My family has been in the Hyundai family for over a decade now, and I've never had a single issue. Before anyone at the top asks, "Would someone spend that much for a Hyundai?" Yes, yes we would.
Hopefully they make a Hyundai N Coupe or a spiritual successor to the Genesis. With the success they're finding with the N-lines, they'd make a killer sports car. Would also love an N model with AWD.
I want to see a hybrid Elantra N with electric motors in the rear for AWD making somewhere around 350 to 400hp, ICE and electric combined, for $42k USD.
Great video. Would love to see a Kona N in the new body with around 350 HP and all wheel drive. I think it would make a great all around and very useable car. The current Kona N is a little too small to be that type of vehicle and I think a car like that is missing in the market unless you go to the higher end brands. Would also love to see a full Sonata N doesn’t have to be awd but has to be able to put the power down. Put bigger tires on these like 265s and make sure they can put the power down and handle well and price it around 38-42k and I think they will be very interesting cars.
Albert B's philosophy/take on FWD vehicles so needs to be absorbed/applied. The mega-vast majority of consumers are not tracking their car. Very few of the bulk of folks left over aren't on-the-regular driving their car super hard on great twisty roads. Most enthusiast-thinking folks are driving on public roads in a daily driver & getting a bit spirited here/there. As Albert B said on the channel here before, 'Torque Steer isn't a bug, it's a feature'. FWD & FWD biased cars such as GTIs & such, are grossly under-appreciated by the whole, as is anything in America that's a hatch. The car-loving community in the U.S. would be a lot better if some of that stigma/attitude were to be overcome. NO SUNROOFS, yes to Manual Trans. LOVE keeping it simple. BMW & Audi for sure are maddening when trying to obtain a new one in regard to options / trim game... even within a brand itself. Often seems no logic whatsoever is in play with how they do it.
I drive a 2022 Veloster N (6M). I'd love to have had a sunroof. I'd have bought a 2024 EN if it had a sunroof. The 2025 is an unchanged carryover. I'll keep dreaming for 2026... keep the Manual!! With that, my VN is the most fun car I've ever had; I just wish it had a sunroof. What do I want? A $40,000 Elantra N with all the comforts of the limited hybrid.
Ok Hyundai, you should make one versatile rwd platform to go against 1. miata/gr86, 2. Stretch it to make N vision 3. Spin off to sister brands to cover Kia and Genesis to save cost, share platform, etc. You have now enough street credit with VN EN to really dig into rwd competitions with N products. This will definitely steal sales from miata to bmw to even porsche with vision N concept to reality with manual transmission as standard option
Now official the N74 will be in production! And I know the design/engineering group has no control over this, but the dealership experience leaves a lot to be desired.
Rebody the G70 with the Hyundai N design language, make the interior less fancy, sell the v6 turbo with sportier suspension tuning as an N trim level car, the 2.5 turbo as an N Line trim level car. I'd pay 40 grand but not more than 45.
I think a hybrid performance sedan under 60K US dollars would sell well. Have ECO mode, performance mode, highway mode. It wouldn't need to be luxurious, just functional. Maybe make a 4WD version as a halo car.
We absolutely want a sunroof and manual. The ONLY reason I chose my Golf R over this N was because I couldn't get a sunroof unless I got the automatic (🤢). Both cars WILL perform for 98% of drivers. Just make the sunroof STANDARD on all models if you want to simplify it. I'm with you MotoMan (i also live in NC, not even Cali and I use my sunroof ALL the time). Sunroof and Manual PLEASE. Enthusiast are tired of being shafted, we don't drive on the track more than we do the street.
@AnonAnon-qi4ts ive owned all my cars with them. Tracked my Golf R. Calling it "ugly" is subjective (especially for something you can't really see) and I use mine more often then not. A car with it has the option to be used or not. Without it misses out on sales and doesn't make a huge difference on the track and zero difference where it's driven 99.8% of the time time, on the road.
I sent a message on Instagram but I thought I better post it here. I would like to see more from Genesis, particularly the g70 gain the gv80 coupe powertrain. As for the 74, I agree that the supra and Z are way too close to a stingray which I would prefer over both of those cars. For hyundai I would like to see a slightly more serious N sonata, improve the cornering ability, gearing and tires. ( I would like a awd sonata on the standard model).
I won't buy a car that doesn't have a sunroof. I think this is especially important as a tall guy. Without a sun roof I can't see any sky or mountains and stuff when driving through scenic routes. Engagement isn't reduced by having a slightly higher CoG. I don't doubt that the difference is quite perceptible in body roll, but I'll pay that price.
Keep on makimg ICE N cars. Focus on improving cooling. Get rid of Octane Learning as it is right now. Either have it learn faster or disable with a 91/93 tune from factory. I would love a RWD N car. It would be a coupe or wagon with four doors. 400ish whp. I would be down to spend around $50k.
I'd love to see a PHEV that can run in an eco setting for puttering around town and grocery running but then in performance mode throws efficiency out the window and combines the best of the low RPM torque from the motor and a high output turbo engine. It would be very practical and fun.
Larger battery of PHEV is complete opposite of canyon carving. It would take a very expensive suspension for that kind of weight to be sporty. PHEV is great in straight line acceleration - if that suffices for your definition of performance.
@@David_Journey ah yes, I see how the Ioniq 5N can't possibly corner because it's got a giant battery... No MG cyberster can ever be fun to drive because battery... Porsche taycanne is a dog and you may as well be driving a tractor...
Elantra N GT…manual sunroof and a more premium interior for a $3k premium over stock would make this middle age middle class father of three a customer. (Throw in the 2.5 while you’re at it.)
A sports wagon. Please. An RS6 lite. Just look how the RS6 sold. Imagine one with 350-400 hp that’s affordable. There’s a market! Enthusiasts love sports wagon. M-340 touring type.
Today motor1 is saying the N74 is going to be an EV and scheduled for production ... "After years of speculation and rumors, Hyundai has finally confirmed plans to put its highly popular N Vision 74 concept into production. The announcement comes as part of Hyundai's plans to debut 21 new models by the year 2030. Hyundai snuck the news into a slide at the company's annual CEO and Investor Day presentation, mentioning the N Vision 74 as one of its future "high-performance EVs."
Two comments: 1. I’m very surprised that N sales are roughly only 5% of their regular vehicle sales (depending on the model). With the N’s being so sporty and relatively affordable perhaps Hyundai isn’t promoting N’s as much as they should be and relying more on just word of mouth promotion? That may take a long time and therefore cost future sales. What does a Corvette have to due with the current Chevrolet product line? Nothing but having it elevates the Chevy name. Do a better job in telling the world about N! It will sell more Hyundais. 2. Even though current EV sales have flatlined, I still think this is the calm before the storm. Technology with battery design is improving rapidly and this whole “range anxiety” thing will go away eventually and I believe sooner than later. More people will see the advantages of EV’s for everyday driving, charging options will improve, more people will want to get away from gasoline and EV prices will come down a little. It may take another 24 months or so but before the end of the decade, EV sales will pick up greatly and not look back. Enjoyed the interview. Two guys who know what they are talking about.
The vast majority of people don't care about 0-60 times and just want a car to he practical, efficent, and inexpensive. Ask 1000 random people what an LSD does and you might be able to find 40 that even know what it is.
@motomantv an hybrid elantra N, rear electric motor to make it awd with around 300 or 315hp for direct competition with VW R and Acura type S from an owner of 22 EN
Why do they have to look like variations of hatchbacks and sedans? Back in the 90's, there were swoopy sports cars like the Prelude, 240SX, MX-6, 300ZX, Supra, etc. It only got better as the decade went on. It's like in spite of all the technology available to create even more amazingly styled cars than in the 90's, these manufacturers take the cheap route and add a spoiler here, scoop there and call it a day styling wise, including boring looking interiors. No flair or excitement unless you think adding carbon fibre on the dash and door panels qualifies. It sure seems the bean counters are still ultimately in charge when these companies try to make sports cars. Even with the Supra, they had to co-develop with BMW in spite of Toyota being the biggest in the world, and the new Z is still the old Z underneath. The only exceptions are the Mazda Miata and the C8 Corvette. Mazda has a good thing going for generations now, so it would be crazy for the bean counters to mess with a good thing. But the Corvette has been the biggest corporate achievement of this decade if not the past 2 decades (OG NSX was 3 decades ago for those who are counting)! How GM was able to build a mid-engine platform with the capability of being both cost-effective and world-class in performance in a svelte shape (love it or hate it) without the bean counters getting in the way is almost beyond belief. The corporate maneuvering to make that happen should be viewed as a Masterclass for the likes of Hyundai, VW, Honda, Toyota, Nissan and pretty much any one else. The engineers and designers within GM have put to utter shame all the engineers and designers in other manufacturers who clearly don't have the business acumen and, let's call it, downright bullocks, to push a project like that through in their own companies, in spite of having more money than God from selling awfully boring SUVs. Sorry, after seeing what is truly possible when engineers and designers are allowed their creative freedom, and what was possible even 30 years ago, I simply cannot get excited for this crop of hatchback and sedan shaped "sports cars".
Octane learning is good thing in EN, but there are other cars know what octane is in. Could you make the octane learning better please? Once premium fuel is in, let the car know right away or do octane learning only once. Octane learning every fill up is annoying.
I don't understand why you have deleted my comment but I rewrite the essential: if the N brand wants to foray into sports cars, in my opinion, they have two options! 1. something like a brz/gr86 competitor - manual, rwd, cheap-ish, which in Europe, would mean 30-35k euro. 2. something like an M2 competitor(preferably with less weight) but 10-15k less expensive...more expensive than type-Rs, GRYs or golf Rs but less than RS3s, M2s, Caymans and so on. On either, the manual option should be present, even preferred, as the post drive satisfaction of a manual sports car cannot be exceeded by any auto, be it dct or traditional. It also needs to be a hybrid, due to legislation. edit. and we need the i20 and the i30 back, in some way.
This x 100. If I wanted the sun beating me over the head/neck/shoulders, more noise, more expense more weight, & more stuff to go wrong, I'd buy a convertible.
I bought an I5N without hesitation (despite being a cheapskate rivaling MotoMan) because the vehicle impressed me. I would like to see Hyundai N better support track users. Example: data collection support. Gimmicky screens flashing lots of data but no way to log this data (and no apparent technical data for the aftermarket to capture this)? C'mon guys, please fix this.
ppl who buy EVs as "enthusiast's cars:....ffs, it is an EV tank on wheels full of gimmicks; why do you need data acquisition when you don't understand driving in the first place?(because, if you did, you'd know weight is the end of every good thing in actual driving and that the i5N is a very understeery tank in corner entry, horrible in transitions and has just one party trick, which is, slingshooting the straights between the curvy parts. That's not driving, that's monkey driving.
Can you please re-use the parts for a mid-engine configuration like the mr2 and sell it for $45,000? I will be the first to put down a reserve for a Korean Cayman. The drivetrain, you just plop it in the back and then use struts up front. It doesnt have to be a numbers car, just a working man's 276 hp mid engine nsx\cayman\mr2 thing.
Sunroofs often take up more headapace. On my Mazda3 I think I only open the actual sunroof maybe five times a year when the interior temp reads 111° from sitting outside, only to close it after a few minutes after the hot air cycles out. I'd rather do without, but that said, my other car is a Miata.... Ultimate sunroof😂 What I'd like: I hold onto my cars for a long time, and nothing is taking my miata away. When it comes time to replace my 22' Mazda3 turbo all weather daily: I'd look for a RWD (or at least bias) sedan. Somewhere between Genesis G70 and Kia stinger in size, although if i stick to compact I'm ok with FWD bias. Dynamics need to be balanced, feel great in corners and mountains, and ideally make it feel like I'm driving something almost in the compact segment size and weight wise. I'd like at least the same level of acceleration and torque grunt as my Mazda3, so power may only need to be adjusted for weight and transmission gearing. I also would like at least the same efficiency, I'm not picky about hybrid or turbo. I would like to pay 40-45k USD (or whatever the inflation adjusted about is that time in the future), but if the interior and exterior design is comparable in quality to current Mazda design but sporty, (the new Sonata exterior is getting there) and depending on included features or if performance is significantly more than the mazda3 then I may be willing to spend up to 50k. I may only fall into the N-line camp with all of that, A full N would fit in my life if i didn't own a Miata.
The Elantra N is (specifically because of the engine) Hyundai version of the Mitsubishi EVO X Rallye, in a way. With that being said, how about a panoramic roof and 2.5L G-TDi AWD w/DCT @ $45K ! That way we can eat Subarus and GR Corollas for actual lunch, no Gray Poupon. 😁
Cheap fun really ?! companies charging 35-100,000 + grand for sport performance vehicles, Hyundai Elantra N for example 36,000.00 add taxes fees dealer fees added accessories ( dealers don’t like to remove added junk ) up charges, yeah car will depreciate heavily within the year, I would never be a go happy fun car your paying well over 40 grand for a turbo 4 banger, massive payments crappy interest financing rates and insurance on a new vehicles these days, cheap is not really cheap
What most popular taxi in Australia? Toyota hybird camry, that car is what Hyundai should be benchmarking against, so in 30 years the parts are availability, they cheap n affordable to run n service for young or older gen that remember driving when they were young. Some want restore or rally or daily drive, just look what AU Ford Falcon has become, ugly duck to cool used performance car.
Well, that’s funny because the GTI has far more problems than the N cars. I cross-shopped both cars for about a year. I joined the forums for each and observed the daily posts. I saw TONS more issues with the GTI, especially electronic/electrical.
German car used prices are dirt cheap because they are giant nightmares to own out of warranty. Initial quality or perceived quality vs. actual quality. And also, you get to pay three tine the price for parts.

I have a 22 EN and constantly impressed with how much I can fit in the trunk. Yes, you may be able to add in some larger/tall items in a wagon but I'm sure you'd probably lose rear seat space.
Wagon definitely, also liftback for sedans instead of trunk lids, way more practical. I've got an i20N and it's extraordinary 💙💙💙

Definitely ice engine with hybrid for the torque, but that’s it. I ain’t worried about fuel economy.🚗⛽️
Love my 24 N, only downside so far is no rear vents for when I'm driving other people around.
You can buy them and add for cheap. They should be there. No extra weight. Just a miss. Pennies add up
Love the inside insight. Have an N and would have never bought a Hyundai if not for the N division.
Great video. Kudos to Hyundai for continuing to build niche performance cars in a market dominated by SUV's. 👍
motoman really told him that "magma" sucks to his face LOL
looove these interviews!

That’s too bad you’ve had to deal with that. Out of curiosity, is your VN white? I just read an article about white paint Hyundais having this issue.
This was the exact decision I was pondering and so many of us are.
A $50k N Vision 74-esque RWD/AWD vehicle with a 3.3TT V6 pushing a reliable 400-500whp is something I'd jump at without question.
No sunroof! Save weight and simplicity.
As a Nthusiast for the near future the cars I would like to see come to North America in this order,
- revised i30N from Europe
- full blown N version of a Tucson or suv bigger than Kona
That I5N is a monster and a turning point for evs if it can prove to be reliable.
Ive owned a VN a KN and 2 Elantra N's
BRING BACK THE KONA N! And big guy seats in the EN and KN.
Thank you for this video
This will definitely steal sales from miata to bmw to even porsche with vision N concept to reality with manual transmission as standard option
thank you N
Now official the N74 will be in production!
And I know the design/engineering group has no control over this, but the dealership experience leaves a lot to be desired.
N74 with 2.5T+hybrid = about 350 HP RWD... for 50k. I'm buying.
Rebody the G70 with the Hyundai N design language, make the interior less fancy, sell the v6 turbo with sportier suspension tuning as an N trim level car, the 2.5 turbo as an N Line trim level car. I'd pay 40 grand but not more than 45.
Dont listen to him. We do t want a nose-heavy audi-like shit handling car. Keep ot light and 4 cyl.
Canada Elentra N 6spd has a sunroof.
Please just give us the i30 N! (With adaptive cruise lol)
Dont listen to him. Ditch the sunroof and use the money saved for an aluminum hood.
@@AnonAnon-qi4ts nah.
Strap a ten pound weight to your roof if you want, but I've owned several cars with them and they stay closed and look ugly.
I think they should have made a sunroof optional in both the manual and DCT models.
Hey do you ever want to talk about the airplanes I keep seeing in your videos? I work in general aviation. I'm curious.

Two comments:

I have a 6MT EN and I’m happy not having a sunroof
Don’t want a sunroof ever. However I would pay for a carbon fiber roof.
Yes 1. Manual 2. Manual with Sunroof please
Canada has it.
No sunroof and a manual is the configuration which makes most sense
I would want a fun convertible that is fun and a hybrid. I would pay up to 60k for a well designed car.
I wouldn’t want a sun roof anyways
Need to fire the designer who came up with the triangle concept.
I don’t want no stinkin sunroof. -Enthusiast
I would want a 6M with a sunroof. I don't know why the USA gets shafted bc I'm pretty sure Canada and Korea can get it.
Yes they do. I think sunroof should be optional on Mt and dct.
I own manual 22 N. Thank you for no sunroof. I don’t want one.
I do not want a sunroof in any vehicle. Especially a performance car.
This x 100. If I wanted the sun beating me over the head/neck/shoulders, more noise, more expense more weight, & more stuff to go wrong, I'd buy a convertible.
It would be nice to have the option not to have a sunroof in the dct.
No sunroof

Manual transmission, AWD, 400hp (no EV). I’d pay $55k easy. Maybe $60k.
300-400 HP rwd Car for under 50k$
Sunroofs often take up more headapace. On my Mazda3 I think I only open the actual sunroof maybe five times a year when the interior temp reads 111° from sitting outside, only to close it after a few minutes after the hot air cycles out. I'd rather do without, but that said, my other car is a Miata.... Ultimate sunroof😂
What I'd like: I hold onto my cars for a long time, and nothing is taking my miata away.

Relatively speaking to anything else being offered in the same category. Yes, cars are expensive things to begin with.
What most popular taxi in Australia? Toyota hybird camry, that car is what Hyundai should be benchmarking against, so in 30 years the parts are availability, they cheap n affordable to run n service for young or older gen that remember driving when they were young.
