Every time i see those wide shots i image how it looks from neighbors viewpoint. Everybody just cleans up their lawn once a week, but here is a guy renovating, putting top soil, leveling, all kinds of machines. Very inspiring videos!
Ryan, I have been a casual watcher and I can see in your videos that you do them as a labour of love. As a guidance counsellor, I always preached to my students to do what they love and if it pays, then that’s a bonus! You are living that lesson Ryan. Your viewers can see the kind of devotion and commitment that you put into your work. I’ll keep watching and I will try to land one of your tee shirts to wear when I am working on my modest subdivision property. Keep up the good work! 👍🏻
Ending was beautiful, as a nurse I am just tired of so much at this point and that footage just made me take a step back and see that we all do come across problems in our lives, and we make it out to the other side just fine. Thank you Ryan.
Thanks Ryan, I have been spending a lot of time on my lawn while locked down, and did some leveling. I bought a leveling tool and had a yard of top soil delivered. I paid extra for screened and was annoyed when I got it because it had rocks and wood chips. I complained and the guy I bought it from told me I got screened and should have asked for SIFTED! WTF, what was I going to do it was in my driveway, I sifted it by hand. Today I saw the first blades of grass pop up.
What does top soil usually price out per yard? Think I need 2 dump trucks worth but I’m afraid to call and ask. Erosion has taken a toll on my front hill. Need about 1 -2 inches over 10k feet.
I can't believe the depth you go into on your videos. You provide all the relevant information and explain in in a clear manner even for a amateur like me. I've learnt so much from you. Thanks man 🇬🇧🇺🇸 👍🏽
Thanks for all the tips I work nights so I spend my mornings working in the yard. neighbors have all commented about the lawn. First year still a lot of work to do. Thanks again.
Greetings from another MN native (currently surviving in Packer country)! I just added soil to some low spots yesterday that voles had created over the winter. Threw down some seed, rolled it out, and set up a watering schedule. I'm looking forward to seeing the new sprouts come up! This video was good timing.
I came for the bonus footage but got some great tips as well! I'll tell you what, you're bonus footage really motivates me to go out and explore more. Bring my camera and just film. Really well done!
Nice bonus footage, I think a lot of us are feeling the same way. Keep up the great work and thanks for this video. Needed it for my back yard. Stay safe!!
I appreciate you Ryan, thanks for all the lawn tips. I've moved back in with my parents for the summer. I'm a fellow musician and I am heading back in the fall for my last year of my music degree! This summer I'm working at my local golf course and I am loving it, my summer project has been getting my parents lawn back into shape, with all your tips I've seen some great results. Thanks for all your help.
This past weekend I did ~5000 sq/ft with 3 yards of topsoil here in Eagan MN... Then we got 5" of rain, and now i'm hoping the seed made it... Thanks for all the inspiration!
Thanks Ryan I started watching a few weeks ago and love the videos. I have told all my friends about your videos and even had conversations with the guys who deliver supplies to our store. Keep up the great work.
I find that when I am fixing small areas like that, that it works well to mix the grass seed into the soil while it's in the wheelbarrow and then spread and level it. It guarantees that you get a significant amount of seed/soil contact. Thanks for all that you share with us.
Really cool bonus footage. You have a talent for story telling. You could/should start a series or sister channel showcasing that. I bet I am not the only one who would subscribe. Once again...really cool. Oh yeah, gonna look for that Blue Moon soda.
Man that soil is awesome... I am in Alabama. Beautiful dead red clay! 🙃🥲 I am in the process of redoing my lawn killed everything. I love the content! I am a hardcore DIY’er. I am doing all myself! These videos help!
Hey man thank you for the lawn leveling tool! You got that ordered filled damn fast. I ordered different things from 4 different companies and yours was the first to ship. Thank you!!
I'm glad I stumbled onto your videos. Since the first one I seen I've watched everyone going forward. You make everything easy with how you explain things. I also went and purchased the lawn guide. Keep up the good work.
Just spread 4 yards of top dressing. Should of sifted it since it had alot of junk /compost but I mostly used it for fixing really bad deep ruts. Next year I'll get more sand/soil. Another great video sir!
Ryan- I live up here in Pillager, MN. These many lakes and wooded areas would definitely be something to miss if one were to move away. Thanks for all the great videos. You do a great job!
I feel like this bonus footage is a metaphor for you heading on the path of being a musician then with the unfortunate circumstances of your vocal cords re-discovering your passion for lawncare...then the rest is history! Great video and bonus footage Ryan 👌🏼
Eighteen people have a crap lawn Ryan. Keep up the great work!! Bonus footage brought a tear to my eye. Boyd Huppert better watch out with you telling stories like you do. Damn proud of you 👍
My new favorite TH-cam channel. I hardly even have a yard, just 75 sq foot area in New Mexico I’m trying to grow grass in lol. I’m originally from northern Illinois and I miss the Midwest so much. Keep up the good work brother!
Great video as always...we can always count on you delivering something awesome with the bonus footage. Like Ron said, I'll sand when Ryan sands...got enough sand in our CO soil already anyway.
Keep up the great work Ryan, my lawn goals have progressed with a lot of help from your channel. Your content and video quality has progressed as well, love it!
Very nice Ryan. You seen too have a pretty good pulse of wo you are and where your going. Grateful for the nicer things in life. The bonus video footage ending, really helps put things in life into perspective. 👍😎🙏
Love your videos Ryan. I live in Boston suburb and climate here is pretty close to where you are. Your videos definitely helped me growing a healthy lawn this year. Great bonus footage by the way. Keep up the good work.
Love this video, this is exactly what I need to do this year. Not ready to commit to a full on leveling of the entire yard, but I have so many bumpy/low spots I need to fill in. Can't wait to get after it!
Wow... bonus indeed! Man, that was a much needed escape from what we’re all going through currently. Thanks for bringing us along! Peanut butter sandwiches, strawberries and a Blue Moon... definitely on my list to try.
I used to watch The Lawn Care Nut channel in the past for advice but his content is mostly about throwing all sorts of chemicals on your lawn which I hate. Your channel is about practical tips to improve the lawn without too much of "throwing stuff". I like your content more Ryan, keep up the good work.
❤️ the clip at the end Thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge about lawn care, for northern lawns. I had so many plans this spring to start rejuvenating my lawn but I have been dealing with the same type of spring weather. I guess you could say it kind of works out because I'm learning more while I wait until this fall to start. Hopefully we have a good call and the weather stays just right long enough for me to aerate , level, and overseed.
I'll say this, I never thought I would be subscribing to a lawn care channel, but your bonus footage was really great and made me click that little red button. :)
Every time i see those wide shots i image how it looks from neighbors viewpoint. Everybody just cleans up their lawn once a week, but here is a guy renovating, putting top soil, leveling, all kinds of machines. Very inspiring videos!
I won’t sand until Ryan sands. Really enjoyed the bonus footage and the message.

Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm not getting choked up at a lawn video, you are.
Wow. I didn’t expect a chill reflection/meditation at the end of a side-lawn leveling video but it was a good one. Thanks!
That bonus footage is incedible, id give anything to have friends like you and live in such a nice place
Thanks for the Bonus! Excellent. Kind of speaks to us all right now.
Multiple Connor Ward and Ryan Knorr vids in the same week. Life is good!
@@ProjectsWithPat hes been on the rise lately
I've never been jealous of another guys dirt until you.
Funny you vs Conor leveling your soil. You light and gentle. Conor says I need a little soil and dumps out 5 yards. Lol. Nice ending.
Thanks Ryan, I have been spending a lot of time on my lawn while locked down, and did some leveling. I bought a leveling tool and had a yard of top soil delivered. Kevin Kringle about $50 per yard delivered.
James Sterm thank you
The las 2 minutes of the video was great. Thank you for your good work my friend. I wish you much success
I can't believe the depth you go into on your videos. You provide all the relevant information and explain in in a clear manner even for a amateur like me. I've learnt so much from you. Thanks man 🇬🇧🇺🇸 👍🏽
That bonus footage hit me in the feels! You have some raw talent man. Videography at it's finest.
Great to hear you calling it soil instead of dirt, thankyou

Ryan.. I love lawn care but canoeing and especially backcountry tripping (and watching them on TH-cam) are my real escape. Cool footage!
