Thank you for this, ive been looking for a laptop to use for my computer science major but this model with 16gb ram is the same price as the Apple MacBook Air M1. Due to concerns with compatibility for niche programs im gravitating towards this but im sure many will recommend the macbook if the price is the same. Edit: im talking about the insprion 15 decked out with an intel 11th gen i5 processor, 16gb, and 1 tb ssd
The Mac vs PC arguement is exhausted at this point and should be re-narrated about how they compliment eachother. E.g. we use Mac's in our studio because for our video editing we've developed a solid workflow on the Mac platform - but there are a multitude of PCs that can edit the hell out of some 4k raw. If compatbility is a concern, go with the decked out Inspirion. You'll love it. It'll be fast and powerful and do pretty much everything you want. While Windows isn't quite as sophisticated as macOS, there are also a variety of things it can do that you can't with mac. I guess this is a long winded way of me saying, don't second guess yourself - you'll have a good experience either way!
Can you recommend a docking station for this laptop? Looking to run dual monitors and most of the docking stations that I have looked at use the USB-C to charge the laptop.
