I’m a tad biased, as we live (and boat) in northern Michigan…but we’ve also spent a lot of time in Wisconsin waters. Door County is great, and there are certainly some nice ports along the Wisconsin shoreline - but I truly believe there are more cute/quaint/walkable towns down the Michigan side, some of which are “must see” Looper destinations. Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, Northport, Leland, Frankfort, Ludington, Pentwater, Grand Haven, South Haven…I think you’d be VERY happy visiting any or all of them. And visitors can easily fly into Traverse City, Grand Rapids, or Muskegon to catch up with you at any of the ports you go to. So - my vote is for Michigan! (BTW, great footage of Ripley this episode - she’s adorable 😊)
Either shoreline is good. I think the Michigan stops are a little better. But Door County, WI has some great stops especially on the Bay of Green Bay side. Sister Bay, Fish Creek, Egg Harbor. But that same latitude on the Michigan shoreline has Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Traverse City, Leland, Charlevoix, Frankfort, Ludington, Pentwater. If you go the Wisconsin side stop in Sturgeon Bay (my hometown) and I’ll send you to the best spot for cheese curds. Or I’ll have my parents bring them to you. lol Also, most laundry took quarters and a few places credit cards. Couple places it was free. Almost all places had laundry facilities. We have a washer and dryer so only used shoreside facilities for blankets and towels. But it was readily available. -Sulley Does The Loop
How far behind reality are these videos ? Like have you already actually done the loop and these are long after the fact like the Boomershines, or are these more like weeks behind and you'll be doing the loop in 2025 ?

When we looped in 22-23, we did both the Michigan side and the Wisconsin side. We crossed over from Frankfort to Algoma, Wisconsin.
Take a look at the top of the fuel tank for that leak. They do rust out at the top due to water leaking around the fitting on the deck.

Michigan is more touristy, Wisconsin is a little more industrial.
Agree with Michaelgriggs8574. Both coasts are great, but Michigan coast is awesome. There are huge dunes down a large part of it.
Is this a liver board marina? And does it look like they have many slips available?

We are posting in real time! All of this was filmed in the last week or 2
