Thank you for a lovely tour. I know nothing about yachts and boats, however since returning home to the UK, a few weeks ago, following my first ever Caribbean cruise. All I want to do is learn about being at sea!!!😊
Grand Bank"s 36 .It's a Dream for me! Perhaps one day ...❤❤When I was looking for my first boat I looked for one within my budget but it didn't fit...I found a Princess 33 that I also really like.
My wife and I bought a 36 GB many years ago and it was a wonderful little boat. We got caught in some pretty bad storms and she handled them in stride. Our model had the rear cabin door to the master suite which I like better than this model. Everything else is pretty much the same except we opted for a single engine with a get-home drive generator. The second engine is nice but the hull prevents it from going much faster than a single can push it. I love the SS rails. We had varnished rails both upper and lower and in Florida, they always needed work. These are well-built boats and they do not cut any corners.
@@HarborYachtTours I don't recall the name, but they are generally called "get-home drives." They consist of a generator of wattage choice driven by a small Diesel engine mounted parallel to the top shaft. The generator has a pulley mounted on one end, and the prop shaft has a pulley added to it, with a belt between them. The helm has a power lever to engage the belt and control the speed. It is nothing like a twin-engine but is very effective in an emergency when the engine quits.
Very nice. The engine compartment is so clean you'd think it was only a couple years old period. Well Done, to whoever maintains it. If the radar arch folds down, the ship would be great for 'The Loop'.
As a matter of fact, the radar mast does tilt back to the deck. We had a radar mounted on it like this boat and when we encountered a low bridge or other obstacles, we would pull the pin on the mast and ease it back down to the deck.
Thanks for the tour. GB makes a great boat, but this one would be a bit small for me (and I've never been a fan of wet heads lol). This would probably make an excellent boat for the Great Lakes.
@@HarborYachtTours Your technical knowledge of vessels and her curiosity and let’s just say it, good looks is a winning combination! Good luck growing the channel! P.S. I like it when you feature the older and more attainable $$$ vessels.
Yes, that was the first thing I noticed when we met. I prefer these style boats to the mega yachts in the super expensive stuff. Doesn’t really appeal to me too much but we will probably do one or two here and there and see what the Internet thinks. @@johnnydangerously7186
On some of the Grand Banks classic designs there was a set of steps to exit the rear cabin onto the deck.I think this being a later version doesn’t have the feature . The daily checks are fairly simple to do and should be easy like most things on a Grand Banks. The lack of a seat to navigate might not please everyone but you can probably find a solution to that. It’s nice to see a boat without clutter all over the place. This one should make someone very happy.
Solenoid control shuts the valve to the propane bottle at the bottle. (Not the one on it on top, but inline) If you have a line leak, only what's in the line can potentially get inside the boat
This is a realy well maintained and clean little ship. Carpentry is great, engines clean, sombody took real good care of this one. Know what the nob is for yet?
If the boat still had propane, the solenoid control would shut off the gas at the tank when you’re not using it without having to go up to the bridge to turn the valve manually. Normally the propane tank would be under the port bench seat on the bridge.
Beautiful condition BUT wide walkways "stole" too much interior room. Engine room appears more sized for gasoline engines but personally I only ever want diesel.
Nice looking boat. But 230k buys NEW not 22 years old. Also -- to short for the money. Ask 120k accept anything over 70k. Don't know what you paid for it but it was worth 1/2 of list when the first owner stepped on board for the first time. As far as the engine goes it's hour that count not prettiness. Can get a much bigger/newer/more seaworthy sailboat for 230K. I've seen older/rougher 40' trawlers sell for well under 50k. That's what this boat will sell for next time. So your looking at $200k you'll never see again if you buy this boat at this price, Grand Banks name isn't what it use to be.
Thanks for the tour of this shipshape (Fit) and beautiful boat; and, BTW that would also be how I would describe the young lady presenting it! In a few years I will be looking for something like this (the boat I mean). Please don't take offense, I am an older gentleman who has lost most of his "filters", and who calls it as he sees it.
Can somebody tell me who's this beautiful tall tour guide girl😎, she technically fit 💪, perfectly for a cruising crew😱 i think she could be a 🚢 ⛵ model too🙋😎, or she maybe a captain?
Nice boats G Banks well built, this layout and size makes for ease of handling when berthing /docking with the wide sidedecks and two access doors to the lower helm position. Notice though there is no proper internal Helm seating for the Helsman , plus there are no forward faceing/looking seats for passengers /crew in the saloon/wheelhouse except for the after part of the starboard setee/ couch This makes it quite uncomfortable for some when she rolls in a beam sea. Which they do!! Nice engines , good make those. She will be fairly good on fuel and cruise nicely at 8/9 kts With the lower poered engines fitted on earlier models taht Hull will normally un 'balls out' at only 8 kts She may run at a quicker cruise, maybe 12 kts but then She will be thirsty Very Nice boat 👍though
I watch your videos
because I feel calm in the way you talk. You walkthrough mostly cozy, small but roomy and sensible yatchs.
Five star: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you that’s the best compliment I’ve had yet and helps with me deciding on the types of boats to do moving forward.

Well cared for Trawler, nice wood work, cute. Front quarters is a little small, maybe. Thanks so much! Mark
Thanks Mark
What a beauty. She looks brand new.

Thanks Rudy I did not know you could use the generator to get you home what a great idea. Can that be added aftermarket?

Caught the little sailboat 0:21 with the scripture written on it. One of my favorites. Thanks for sharing
You two do a great job with your tours! I'm definitely a fan!!!
Hey, thanks Bill. We really appreciate that. Look forward to hearing from you more.
This is such a beautiful boat. I wish to have one like that. Congratulation.
Beautifully built, strong, perfect for cruising but a bit racy too. Her 5'7" overhead draft is just right. Subscribed.
Awesome, thank you!
This 36 Classic was a lot of fun to tour and I think our favorite video so far, what do you think?
Sandy is doing great, the "little edges" are called fiddles.
Thank you yes she’s starting to come out of her shell.

AS a non boater I love the Grand Banks.....my only knock is nthat the beds always look pretty small for a 6"4 guy like me.
ais is automatic identification system which helps other boats identify and locate each other so basically a radar system between boats

I would value this in the 140k range .

I like that thanks John.
Very nice Trawler Yacht, Harbor Yacht Tours.
12:34 Propane solenoid Shuts off the propane at the tank for safety. Two wet heads is a bummer always wet and a mess
Sweet Ride.
Agreed
Bonne et belle vidéo , confort et détente á bord ...Bravo ...
Thanks Robert
Solenoid control is to turn the gas on and off for the stove, not needed as it's been converted to electric.
Called Charts when navigating, not maps.😉
My dream boat.
Bet she isn’t cheap to feed.
If you keep it down to hull speed she'll be surprisingly efficient.
The Solenoid control i think would be used to regulate the flow of such as liquids or gases. Handsome looking Trawler.
$230.000 and no designated shower makes living on a hassle
I agree it’s not ideal

Not yet still waiting for the experts to chime in.

Hello I'm imterested questions the parquet flooring is oak or ? And do you finance also does the slip come with ship thky

The stainless steel pull out knob in the aft cabin locks the lazorette.
Interesting
.. what is a lazorette ?
@@smeralda4431 just a locker at the aft of a boat
@@smeralda4431 its the compartment where the rudders stocks and water tanks were.
Nice boat. A few upgrades and she would be good to go.
Yep

A I S = vessel identification system maybe?
AIS. Automatic identification system for navigation

Too small to be a liveaboard. Needs more refrigeration. Kitchen storage is small. Might be a nice weekend boat for a couple.
👍
Mini ship
They drill out the bungs and replace the bungs
2002 and notice no interior wood discoloration from leaks around windows like many other trawlers!
Yep. She’s nice and dry. I need to find out where are Grand Banks made?

How much does this cost

When the salesman says 'What does this do?' it doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.
teak is horrible on a boat. Its expensive and gets hot and costs a fortune to maintain. would never have a bost covered in that trash material.
That’s why most high-end yachts have teak decks…because it’s…you know…trash.😜🤣🤣. Your comment is laughable.
