Personally I tend to fall into the Serpents of Law origin for Asmodeus because there's an aspect that kind of shows this. Glasya, Asmodeus' daughter, is far more powerful than she, or anyone else besides Asmodeus/Ahriman, realize. Besides Asmodeus, she is the only other archdevil that will regenerate after being killed and will return to life. Neither she nor Asmodeus can be killed, even if killed in the Hells (any other archdevil killed in the Hells is permanently destroyed, but not Asmodeus nor Glasya). This means that there's more to Glasya and her power than anyone, besides Asmodeus, realizes.

Meh…there’s nothing in the lower planes, any of them, that should keep the Blood War from spilling over from the Devils’ perspective. Harsh terrain?…what? They are immune, otherwise they wouldn’t survive the Hells. Problem I have with D&D is the same I had with Marvel comics growing up: they swear up and down this is the baddest bad, and then some new other comes along and supersedes it. “But wait…these utterly useless creatures pre-date Asmodeus, the gods, and all of creation!!!!!” 🐂💩
Do a video on Kelemvor , please. I read the trilogy. He is the Judge of the Dead, however, pettioners pray to their gods and they are taken to their afterlife. Is Kelemvor judging those who did not believe? I know he puts those souls into a Wall. Those that did believe goes to their gods. So who is he judging? seems like unbelievers are already doomed for the wall.

Thank you for the effort. Your pronunciation of the Bae-Aht-Zu , the Ta-Nar-ee , as well as Asmode-ee-us , are wrong. Yet your pronunciation of Baator is correct and is the root word. You also would have done yourself a MASSIVE service by going back to the 2nd edition Planescape setting for lore, origins, and an even better understanding of the motives and influence of each of the factions. Don't get hung up on it brother! Great vid, I'm still watching your others! It's flavor, I'm honestly thinking now of making npcs say these pronunciations to liven up the world.
The explanation of the natures of the factions is too complex. It doesnt feel natural. Rather, like something someone thought up in college after some particular lecture or another sparked the idea. It should be far more simple. The Baats are about domination of others. All the power in the world would not satisfy them as much as everyone doing what they were told. They are social by Nature, thus have a strict hierarchy. They obey because they must, which they hate!, and always look for a way to overcome their immediate superior, either by gaining more power (preferable) or crippling their immediate master. The Tans, by contrast, are creations of the Abyss for the sole purpose of the End Of All Things. Ultimate nihilists. They dont care about spreading corruption, or making people unhappy. They want everything Undone. Either the sun explodes and the ashes disintegrate, or the energy death of the universe such that even the bonds of matter and energy come apart. Of course, from the perspective of most Tans, that isnt it at all. They want power over the world. They want to be God. Not gods (little 'g', plural). Each of them want complete control of everything to make the universe in to suit their desires. But their nature is also flawed, and what they create cannot last. All their machinations fall apart (as the abyss intended). Each Tans' desires conflict with each others'. And so, they HATE! "If I cant have what I want, NO ONE CAN HAVE ANYTHING THEY WANT!" So they destroy, by whatever method they like, by meant direct or subtle. So the Baats say "you cant wreck this, I want it, now get in line." and the Tans say "FU!" (which more or less sums up all their thought processes). Frankly, you could leave out anything having to do with the Abyss creating them, and it would all work just as well.
Fantastic Video as usual. I always have to cringe when you insert any 5th Edition refuse in your videos. First Edition H series modules were pure D&D magic.

Oh boy, no comment.
"Oh boy, no comment," he commented.
nice ai usage
Fantastic Video as usual. I always have to cringe when you insert any 5th Edition refuse in your videos. First Edition H series modules were pure D&D magic.
Ugh you too often start to talk about something interesting then stop to say "we'll save that for a future video"... Too many times per video lol
Lol huh
@@dabneybowen8097 Suspense.. I hate suspense lol. Like starting a very interesting topic, talking about it just enough to get me VERY interested, then saying something like, "but enough about that. We will save that for a future video", or lol, "I won't go into much more detail about that, because I covered it in my previous series". Do not start something you can't finish
Too bad there's printed explanations of the artwork without a break in narration. Either pause narrative during printed explanations or just narrate everything, no onscreen print

Is this channel voiced and or written by AI? His voice just doesn't sound "human" enough to me
This is the first time I have ever been told I am not "human" enough. :(
Although after listening, I am not sure how anyone could mistake my narration for an AI voice. In any event... no the words and voice are all mine and I spent about 22 of the 64 hour production time just on the writing alone so I have to confess your comment does sting a little.
Nevertheless, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
@@RichesandLichesI think your voice is perfect for this format. The effort that you put in shows in the polish of both your visual and auditory presentation. The writing and reading are great. Your efforts are appreciated.
Yes, these critics are piling up aren't they? No shortage of experts as usual. At least they are kind enough to display their... Expertise, so one may know with whom one is dealing, aye?
What drivel and rubbish we have on display here! Carry on R&L, carry on i say. I daresay some of these addlepates fancy themselves Masters of the Queen's English. I dispute these vain and vacuous blathering nonsensicals one and all. God save us from the bloody experts. Harumph! Pronunciation indeed, the bloody nerve. Well, line up and have at it laddies and lassies. We can serve right proper servings of much needed humility without unduly tiring ourselves all the day through, I'll warrant you that. You'd think some of these chaps had whistled up Asmodeus himself from the Goetia, Jesu forfend, and had it, that much enshrined 'correct' pronunciation, from rhe Archfiend's own lips.
Thought I found myself in Star Trek for a moment - tah nah ree? Always amazes me all of the different ways various groups pronounce D&D names.
I will go to my grave on this one! :)
Thanks for the watch and comment!
That's okay, Drow will always rhyme with Bow and it will always be "Dwer-gar" where I'm concerned... and don't get me started on the as-MOE-dee-us vs. as-moe-DAY-us battle. Or for that matter that daemon is actually pronounced "demon".
@@HeavyTopspin Did you deliberately choose 'bow' just to prolong the debate? 🙇♂️ vs 🎀
