Pathfinder (The name of the robot) is a character that was in the game since launch, and all of his voicelines are in this happy, joyful tones, but often mentions how he is looking for his creator and purpose. So here they basically teased that they might reveal who/what it is. Also, his most important asset ingame is his grapple/zipline, and this shows how he aquired it and used it the first time. He's like this clumsy, but friendly and extremely lucky robot that decided to fight in the apex games, in hope of getting attention from his creator.

It's better to watch all of those in order, Stories From the Outlands are self-contained backstories of different playable characters, but the season trailers should be watched in order, starting from the Launch Trailer, then season 2, 3 and so on x)
What’s great about these cinematics is that they’re shot with real performers in motion capture. Multiple camera angles can be done in one take without risking the crew showing up in the shots. Animation tweaks are made on the 3D models to amplify the mo-cap performances. I love the whole process on how it all comes together.
This is Pathfinder’s origin story or at least what we’ve seen of it. After this he joins a blood sport to get famous so his creator could find him after looking for her for so long.
spoiler: his creators are all dead, they made him to solve the energy problem, when they found a solution they were backstabbed by one of their members, pathfinder quest ended when he found the true, what's left of his arc is to realize who betrayed them, and if he wants to avenge those who created him.
Apex has a LOT of high quality cinematics. You've just seen the tip of the iceberg. And one of the great things about these cinematics is the multitude of connections, lore bits, and easter eggs you can find if you play the game. I recommend watching as many of these as you are willing. There's a reason that these always end up at or near the top of trending on TH-cam when they drop.
Pathfinder always had kind of a boxing theme going on, his unique heirloom melee weapon skin was a pair of boxing gloves and one of his finishers and banner poses include boxing too. This kinda shows where he got that from, since the cop was also a boxer. Also, when this came out he got an ingame skin with the coat which was pretty cool.

The Season 4 and Season 5 one with Loba and Revenant was one that tied together more; and this one is a backstory one. They all tie into the main story and the main game, as it is a very character-driven game. A few other backstory ones that are very good is Voidwalker, the Old Ways, and Northstar. Check those out.

Pathfinder's bio states that he woke up with no memory in a factory This cinematic basically states what happens before he lost his memory. Aparently Maldera backed up the nox files and his message from his creator before the memory files got corrupted
I would love to see The Bloodhound Cinematic "The Old Waýs" next. "Northstar" is also pretty good but i recommend watching Titanfall 2´s Cinematic first to get the whole Background story of "Northstar". Its also a pretty good Cinematic.

The thing you said about having a good script is so true! Example the Disney Star Wars sequels, AMAZING visuals, but not great story, and it made me not care about the visuals very much

When the police officer search in the robot's memories you should watch all this frame by frame you'll see something really cool.
It is one scene that you skipped in where it's shown how Pathfinder was present when Revenant killed Loba's parents.
I suggest you to watch those cinematics in order, but even like this is fine, all of them are sick so I'm waiting you to react to them
