NEO and stretched... :D Hell, if Airbus was spicy they might get bigger RR engines as another option whilst offering a GE option, who must be ready to jump on any jet build to sell those engines.
Airbus should make an A350-2000 to better compete with the capacity of the 777x. Not sure what they'll do about engine selection, but it's definitely worth exploring.
Its a thin market though. Airbus would run the risk of doing another A380 mistake. Fantastic plane but could not break even with the program. A350-2000 potential customers have already all ordered the 777-9 & therefore Airbus would make a massive loss on it.
@@ricky1231 the 777x is half a decade late. It could be a full decade late if things keep going in this direction for Boeing and the 777x program. The most recent issue, the one that grounded test flights, will set Boeing back significantly. I'm not convinced this thing will ever be certified. Here's to hoping Boeing gets there you know what together but, Boeing's loss should be Airbus gain.
@@anoaklandsir Airbus has openly said they are rejecting new orders because they can't meet airlines' delivery demands , what makes you think they could certify the A350F + the A350-2000 and on top of that meet demands?
While demand for a larger plane, even beyond the capacity of the 777X, is there, the risks are immense and the number of planes to be sold would probably never allow to break even. Besides that there would be higher demand for a new high capacity plane then even the A380 has ever seen. Which is very unlikely in the next 5 years, if not decade. Emirates surely would rejoice, but simply cannot purchase enough planes of such a capacity in order to justify a complete new design.
They all can wait Emirates is not flying old planes. And Lufthansa can fly the A340-600 and 747 cheaply. The planes are paid for and can be bought dirt cheap
even if they fall off the pilots would be able to make an emergency landing safely. My main concern if it blasts off the plane because if explosive decompression occurs it can rip apart hydraulic lines
@@Thesmellofrain-h6o Boeing will have to sell that plane for half the price at this point, the plane is 5 years lates, Emirates will recieve their first a350 this month now imagine if AIRBUS said you will recieve it in 2029 5 years later. And yeah i cant wait to fly in the 777x
So the maker of the MAX is having trouble getting the 777x certified. What a surprise. I won’t set foot on a MAX or 777x. I’m retired and a Boeing fanboy previously but not any longer.
Thin gruel here Dj. There's only a limited amount of ways you can say the same thing in a different way, but I think they're all covered in this vid...😀...

Boeing; 777-9 First Delivery
Airbus; A350neo

Airline in USA are very happy that Boeing are helping them to slow the advance of foreign competition in the intercontinental market
Thank you Dj!!
What’s the bet that one of the folding wingtips comes off early in their eventual (?) introduction

And I trust the FAA like I’d trust Hannibal Lecter
If the Max crisis had not happened the 777X would be flying for customers already. Now the unionized workers at Boeing may strike. Devastating.
WRONG its because they find isues while testing the plane, like fuselage issue, engine issue etc...
Every new to market plane is going to have problems initially. The plane will be fine to fly aboard. It’s your airplane to miss.

Delaying 777X keeps 747-400 in the sky
I bet it's going to be 2027 before deliveries start for the 777X .
If they don’t find some other boneheaded stupid problem that could have been easily prevented.
Remember too.... whistle blowers died, murdered, imho.
Im gonna be playing GTA 6 before even being able to get into a 777x.
Should have went with double decker with better engines .
Why should they have “went” (sic) with a double decker? You can’t give A380s away.
Pay
Will the aeroplane be outdated by the time it's finally delivered???
Who wouldn't be frustrated if the airline will be in the service, supposedly, in 2020?
Crap quality, engine mounts faulty on 777x, maybe something electronic to hide that fact
This is a nothing burger.
