You talk as if Airbus' dominance over Boeing is in question. Heads up guys, Airbus overtook Boeing in sales and profits 5 years ago. And the sales gap is increasing. It's not even a race anymore, there's a clear #1 and #2.
@@FrewstonBooks Boeing just doean't have the products or the production. When they canned the NMA (797) due to lack of funds and having to fix all the problems with the existing aircraft, that was them in the #2 slot permanently.
You are stupid to believe this bogus fake news channel. AI generated clickbait. If you are a real aviation fan you know that this news is untrue, but clearly you are not. Ridiculous.
They don't know. They just aggregate information from other sources and pass it off as their research/opinion. Like a Walter Cronkite. They find news but they don't know what it means.
Clearly the success of the 777 in 1994 was due to project manager Alan Mulally working together with the entire team. Moving HQ to Chicago was a huge mistake.
The longer it takes for Boeing to create and deliver the new 777 only makes it that much better. Design issues are best caught prior to delivery. I can attest that the number of changes to early delivered airplanes is tremendous. Remember the old saying, never buy a first year new car. Continuous improvement applies to all products, compounded greatly with a complex product such as a large commercial airplane. Manufactures should never build a new type airplane in less that 10 years. It takes time to mature such a complex product. Do not rush it!
That is entirely true, the more problems they resolve, the better the plane will be. Also, if they fix more problems, the less likely the plane crashes or has failures. This will result in a more successful aircraft. So yes, the longer it takes for Boeing to upgrade/create and deliver the new 777x it only makes it way better.
That is true up to a point. But if the delays point to defects in the structural integrity of the aircraft design and construction, then it calls into question the aircraft itself. I accept that COVID was beyond Boeings control. But repeated delays to the expected delivery date either suggest that Boeing promised more than they could deliver or the aircraft has major problems. With Airbus already delivering a competitive alternative to the 777X, Boeing does not have time on its side. Airbus have the benefits of operational feedback to feed into future upgrades. The longer the 777X is delayed the more ground it has to make up.
After seeing How Boeing made bombers flying back with only one engine and a broken wing during WW2 That people would believe Boeing planes are safe and tough. But ever since the 737 Max breaking records for its' problems and multiple crashes That people started doubting Boeing. Then comes the whistle blower incident as the chief quality assurance manager came out and complains of faulty parts are Being used which followed by a bunch of impossible Accidents That eroded Boeing's credibility. These days passengers will Try to avoid Boeing planes when traveling.
When you develop the largest most fuel efficient engines you will always have teething pains. The airbus A 380 experienced stress cracks at the wing roots where the wing joins to the fuselage. The 747 experienced several engine issues initially with extreme engine surging due to ovalization with the inner casing of the engine. These issues unfortunate are a part of development especially when cutting edge designs are being used. There isn’t a airplane design that didn’t experience some issues with either the design, the engines, or materials used. These are innovative designs that improves the commercial planes we fly on both from an efficiency standpoint as well as impact on the planet. Boeing presently is under extreme scrutiny however unfortunately issues that arise that are normal during development the media uses as Boeing bashing which gets more viewers and generates more money for the media. We must be more discerning as to what issues are due to negligence and which issues are common when developing cutting edge technology.
over 4 minutes and 30 seconds in and still not specifically mentioned what part is causing the latest trouble. Channel added to the block list for dragging way too long.
At least the formers Boeing managers succeeded in buying back it's own shares worth $ 68 billion. At the time the only things that flew at Boeing were it's shareprices, just like they dropped as their planes did at the time. I'll never board a Max or 777X.
Usually not, but when said development is already 5 years behind schedule and they keep finding new problems while the test campaign is already the longest (in terms of hours flown) in civil aviation history, then it has all the reasons to become a shitstorm…
So, what IS the new problem and which assembly IS negatively affecting delivery dates? A lot of show but little detail! This episode does not prove the channel's slogan "...the only channel bringing actual quality to Aviation You Tube!"
In the description, this channel describes itself as "the only channel bringing actual quality to Aviation TH-cam!" I didn't even play the video after that LOL. Bye bye.
Always its the end for you...Drama Sells.... All I am sure is that whenever 777 is out...Im not worried when.... It will be on hell of a knockout for all of you disbelievers....and for Airbus plastic Fantastic fantasy
They should bring back the 747 with new engine options better and newer electronics !!! Make the 787 bigger like the a350 get rid of the 737 make a new plane like the a321 xlr wake up Boeing or else you are on your way to close your doors
BOEING 777X failure just got worse ? Yep ! Just like QANTAS for the project sunrise future, QANTAS is unhappy with BOEING 777X and refuse it says "NO" to BOEING 777X for the project sunrise future. Then, QANTAS choose on AIRBUS A350-1000 xwb/ulr over the BOEING 777X for the project sunrise future from Australia to UK and USA for the long haul flight route.
I suggest that Singapore Airlines should cancel it's order for 31 777X planes and Order More A350s! SQ has most A350 variants compared to all other A350 operators!
Oh and the astronauts that flew up in Boeing’s Starliner now will return on the SpaceX Dragon because Starliner has too many issues. The Boeing 737 Max line is plagued with issues and certification issues. People died because of those. The 787 is a nice plane, but has its own problems and seems to be overtaken. The new Air Force One. How many years is that behind and at what cost? So… yeah… Boeing…
A major _success_ for Boeing, and for you and me, was when the door blew off during testing. The purpose of testing is for a catastrophic failure to happen on the ground in a wind tunnel with nobody hurt - not thousands of feet up hundreds of people on board. Maybe in an alternate universe/timeline, that door blew out of a packed plane at 38,000 feet, becoming that reality's worst air disaster, being added to the list next to the 737 max... who knows... So we can be thankful that it didn't happen during actual flight. _That's_ a success.
Even though the 777X seems like an engineering marvel, and it looks like a beautiful plane, I would prefer to fly on an A350 every day of the week. Airbus just got it right with that plane and it is a masterpiece.
I am most definitely an Airbus fan, but they both need each other in order to have a competitive market.
I wish both Airbus and Boeing well.
That`s it. Thank you !
The last few decades Boeing gave up on Aerospace Engineering and manufacturing, and concentrated on enriching the Board of Directors.
These videos are so good but they just seem a little off, seems like it is written by AI which doesn’t 100% understand the situation.
Notice they never respond with anyhing meaningful to the comments? Bots can't do that.
It's AI that's why
Someone must be behind it though who is trying to make good videos :/
@@teece900 all they would have done is put a prompt into chatgpt about a plane topic. Chatgpt would do the rest. Then uses an AI voice to add speech.

Moving the company headquarters to Chicago is at the root of these mistakes.

You're funny.
Let's call it battle for survival.
Boeing couldn't build a reliable trash can at this point with all their problems and their inability to bring the astronauts back to earth.

In retirement the 747 and then they will have the only giant wide body. It outlasted the a380 and should continue until there is a real replacement.
They should put the new engines on the current 777 and call it 777neo.
