I was reluctant because of the price. When you get it, you'll see why it's more expensive. They designed it with a custom bracket to be super easy to get to, up front by the radiator. I saw some designs where you had to remove the engine shroud to get to the catch can. This installation appears OEM, and the quality of the components is top notch.
Works great on 2020 Ram Rebel w/5.7 eTorque. Biggest pain of the entire install was getting the plastic engine cover back on with the eTorque motor in the way... nothing to do with the catch can kit of course ;-) ~time = 45 min. Huge help in the video stating exactly what tools/sockets were needed. I didn't have a pick and so simply cut off the hose on the output side of the factory hose with a utility knife. Also unclipped the sensor next to the output side so that I didn't accidently break the very thin wires while removing the factory hose and installing the new catch can hose... highly recommended approach, just don't forget to reinstall it. Had to rotate the hose clamp the correct direction on the motor side of the long hose so that it didn't interfere with the plastic engine cover re-install (clamp was too high in the wrong orientation).
Was simple to install. Took less than an hour to install. Used video for reference. Did not need pick tool. Being short, I had to utilize my bucket for a ladder. No problems otherwise. Very straight forward install.
Just installed mine. Only problem was I couldn’t undo the little clip that held the original tube, so I just left it there. If anything does happen to the catch can I can go back to the original in 15 minutes.
Hoses should have an inner diameter of 1/2". We do not have a pressure rating for the hoses. As long as the hose you supply is rated for oil and fuel, you shouldn't have any issues.
You are welcome to paint the outside if you are looking to add some color but we would suggest not touching the inside as using the wrong type of paint could lead to trouble. The filters will generally not need replacing but will need to be cleaned out from time to time.

The quality of this is top notch. It's worth every penny.

Seriously! My engine cover put up a good fight. Lmao.
I'm only 5'6" 170lbs with a leveling kit installed. It was a good time!

Thanks for the instructional video. Install took me about 25 minutes.

what is the size for house ??
1/2"
What size and pressure rating are the hoses? Looking for a different color when I install.

Is a catch can recommended for a 2019 ram 1500 V6? I see them all the time for older rams or 5.7 hemi's. Thanks.
It certainly won't hurt anything! While we make not have a direct fit option, you may be able to use a universal catch can.
@@mishimoto thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. Will pick a universal.
just wondering if you think a oil catch can can cause your electronic throttle control to go out on my 2021 ram 1500
It shouldn't have any affect on that.
Can you have the catch can painted or is that a big no no? And does the filter ever need to be replaced?
You are welcome to paint the outside if you are looking to add some color but we would suggest not touching the inside as using the wrong type of paint could lead to trouble. The filters will generally not need replacing but will need to be cleaned out from time to time.
I hear like an air noise from the catch can. Sorta like a hiss. Is that normal ? I did everything as instructed.
You may hear the air inside moving through the can and filter.
Isn't the catch can a little too high should it be placed lower than that or it doesn't matter
The lines carry enough pressure that the mounting height and location is not a concern.
@@mishimoto perfect I am going to order one by any chance are you having any discounts for 4th of July
@@mishimoto this is going to be the first mod on my 2019 Ram Rebel I only have 4,000 miles on it
Will this for a 2019 ram 1500 classic (old body style )
No, this will unfortunately not be compatible with the classic as it was designed for the new body style.
Will the 2009-2018 fit the ram 2019 classic
How do you service the catch can?
The bottom of the catch can will twist off and you are welcome to drain it that way. Thanks!
