Awesome bro! Exactly what I did!!! I cancelled my Original R13 because of delays… I looked through their Outlet site, saw a R13 with a 12th Gen I9-12900KF, a 3090, 2TB SSD and HDD, 3 year warranty and still saved a bunch of money.. it arrived in 4 days.. with the original box, looked brand new! The only complaint minor dust build up in front intake fan.. which I cleaned up quickly though.. and I been using it everyday! It’s amazing! Yes! Review their newer model Mic, mouse and Chair for sure! I have their keyboard it’s great! Great Content brother keep it up!

Went through similar delays. Happened to check out the Dell Outlet store and found a pc with almost exact specs to the one I ordered for sale significantly cheaper. Cancelled my order immediately and ordered the one from the outlet store. Received it 3 days later. Just in time for my new QD-OLED AW3423DW that showed up a day earlier. Dell is crazy.

I bought my R13 in April 2022 RTX 3070 GPU, 12Gen I7, 32 GB memory delivery was as promised within two weeks. Had a few bugs but the service has been flawless, I wish I had ordered the RTX 3090. I use it for Flt Sim 2020. It has run well on a 1080 resolution, can not comment on other games, not my world. Your reviews were helpful, Seems there is a part of the gaming community that just can not tolerate prebuilt units I suspect for the average gamer that Dell and many others that sell such units do just fine even with proprietary parts. Once I replace the GPU with an RTX 3090 I can move to a 4K monitor then I believe this unit for the $$$ is good for the next version of Flt Sim and beyond. Thanks for your reviews.
My order hit the expected delivery date today and of course there was no notification, so I chatted with the order status team and the rep gave me the contact number for the Order Modification Department so I can ask which part is holding up my order and maybe switch it out. Unfortunately, it turns out the part holding it up was the chassis (Dark Side color) which I wasn't willing to compromise on and which was estimated to be back in stock on April 11th. So I took your advice and went to Dell Outlet instead. They have a 10% sale going on right now (on top of the discount for a refurbished computer) and if you chat with a Sales Rep and order through them they'll give you an extra 2% discount as well. I definitely wish I had gone the outlet route sooner! Thanks for the tip!
Hey Kev, wanted to thank you for all your Aurora videos. I started with an order for an R10, came across your channel and changed my mind (several times) - just got an R13 with a 3080Ti from Dell Outlet. I've actually decided to return it and go for one with a 3090 as it popped up after this one delivered, and was only $300ish more (and also bumps the RAM from 16GB to 64GB). I'm nervous as hell though because this order doesn't show up in my history like the others did, and I just spent an hour with Dell on the phone and they had so many issues locating it. In the end I was told "We tried adding it to your records, but it didn't work, and all I can tell you is it is in production." So I definitely see the frustration on your side. But as long as I actually receive it, I'm saving $1400+ off MSRP so I can't complain!
Hey Kev, so I had commented on your video about things to do to help with pricing and all that jazz from Dell for these PC's. It had helped, but as you had an issues with Dell, with delays and payment and such, but was able to find an R14 with even better parts than I had originally ordered, for only 3000$ instead of 3500$ so definitely finding out that this is a way easier way to find the same PC

Had a similar experience with 2 delays, noticing them only because after ETA and new ETA's were passed. I had a 3070 gpu so not only to 3090. End up canceling the order aswell
I ordered a r10 and it was going to take 1 month to arrive. I did a bunch of research on the r10 after figured out it was absolute trash canceled my order and built one, just want to say a big thanks to alienware/dell for having some of the shitest delivery times and giving me time to cancel

Loving your videos bro. I bought my R13 based on your review, it had delays. Like you said, the delay wasn't communicated with me until a day before it was supposed to be delivered. I called and complained, I managed to get $190 off. I know this amount isn't much, and it doesn't help you creating content, but maybe something you can share with others so they can complain and get a discount for waiting for the delays. Maybe Dell will wake up and get their sh&t together.
Must be nice to have that kind of income. It took my entire family chipping in on an R14, to replace a 3K$ machine from 2013, which just gave up the ghost. Got the new machine from Amazon, and after seeing this, I'm glad I did! LOL Thanks for the video. :)
Got my R13 coming in tomorrow direct from Dell! No shipping delay issues with the RTX 3070ti. I've been on the fence a couple weeks now with regard to cancelling my $3700 r13 (w/3080) order. Monday will mark the 1-month mark from having re-placed my order (to get Windows 11 Pro instead of Home)..... The whole "must cancel and start over" crap is simply ridiculous... ESPECIALLY since it was for a change in OS, and nothing physical, in this case. My Dell Preferred account will be $0 as of tomorrow's auto-payment, which I bumped up to $500/month in anticipation of the r13 actually being delivered already. All this considered, combined with the recent drop in GPU prices in general; If my build is still waiting for my purchase to enter "In Production" state by Monday, I'll be cancelling and looking elsewhere. I still enjoy gaming on my r5 w/SLI 1070s; which has been stable since I bought it 'when IT was the bees' knees (minus the GPUs, obviously)'.... Time to find out if I can fit a current 3080 in it. Would rather go that route and not have to deal with the anxiety of waiting and buyers' remorse of this charade Dell is playing. I've never had buyers remorse 'before getting what I bought' before... new experience for me - never again. Thanks again for your more-than-helpful content; I'll be one of those 'came for the Alienware content, but staying for the overall informational videos you churn out' subscribers. My Alienware R9 just died and Dell couldn’t fix it, I think it probably needed a flash of the bios but not sure. So I’m getting a refund for the computer since it was under a warranty (thankfully) and I’m going to build my own computer, I’ve had enough with pre builds and want to do one myself (it also took a long time to send it in and get a response to what was wrong with it which doesn’t make me super happy)
Get this, followed your recommendation and ordered an r13 from outlet with expedited shipping. Emailed support yesterday asking why it didn't ship. They emailed today and said they will ask to expedite it. Just a couple of hours later I check order status and it's canceled!! No winning with these guys.
I got the R13 with the i9 and 3080ti recently and it was shipped out within 3 days. Took 7 days to get to me because fed ex sent the package to a different state.
My Alienware R-4 is getting a bit old now, running Windows 7 that I can't update. GeForce GTX 680 recently died, which was a sign that it was time to order a new desktop. I ordered the R-13 with the 3080 video card, 2TB SSD hard drive, and 32GB of RAM. Already have a 32" gaming monitor. I'd appreciate additional R-13 content in the future.
I ordered one with a 3090 as well. They told me on multiple conversations that they weren't short on any items in my computer. I ended up waiting and got it but it took a while.
My R13 build was delayed from the 14th so March 25th. I’m pretty sure it’s just a made up date and it’s still not going to be sent out. Such a disappointment from a big company like this and when you’re a DFS member.
if they don't have a inventory..then why does parts become unavailable while building....i've received so much lip service from Dell and then started receiving scam phone calls after complaining for my R13 two month wait
yeah i don't understand that crap at all. i received (on time a month after the order) my r10, but i was surprised it made it. i got a 1660ti, mainly for cost but i can update it later on, but it was the gpu that was holding it up. when i inquired about changing the part to another gpu (one that showed a faster delivery time on the builder on their website so i knew it would possibly be faster) she said i would have to cancel the order and reorder. why can't they just change the part? that blows my mind. i don't understand why you would have to cancel the entire order when one part of it is the holdup. that needs to be revisited.... hopefully these gpu delays will get better but...
Dell is ridiculous. I ordered a R14 in November, It arrived December 4th in two weeks. It broke on Dec 30th. It took a little more than a month to have techs come out and attempt to repair it, fight with out of stock parts and a month later the PC was sent back because it was not able to be repaired. I ordered an R13 with a 3090 fully decked out as soon as I drop the R14 off at FedEx. Shipping was a month out, month goes by and it gets pushed back another month and a half to April 29th. Cancelled my order as soon as I got the update. I ordered a BETTER PC that was cheaper from a different company and it arrived in 3 days...

Bro that is fucking unreal! I literally have a 3090 build in my cart with Dell right now and was about to pull the trigger but FUCK THAT!!! I'm not going to order it now I need this PC quickly.
You can check out the Dell outlet that I showed in this video, or Amazon both of those are solid options to get a desktop quickly, however you are limited with customization since you’re pretty much buying what they have in inventory
Get this, they delayed my r14 order for over two months because the part “darkside of the moon 750W, water cooled cpu, solid side chassis” was out of stock. So the freaking case!?
Definitely weird, since 3090's are readily available (non-FE). Hopefully, the new R13/R14 cooling is comparable to a custom build, as my 3090 with the R10 was ridiculous. I had to use Noctua iPPC, thermal pad and paste to keep that bad boy under 100C. Even in a PC with those Noctua iPPCs, the VRAM would hit 94C. I definitely prefer the non-LHR Dell 3080's to the 3090, but I understand wanting the big boy. If you look at the Dell Outlet like you are highlighting, you can find non-LHR GPUs in there. However, the only 3080 non-LHR GPUs will be in R10s/R12s and not the new hotness. You could get the R13 from Dell Outlet with a 3090 for $4K.
On my second R14, first one had No post on mobo, they tried to fix but then GPU was also dead, they RMAed the PC. looking to return my second one now it restarts randomly, gaming, idling or browsing. Have tried everything now I am trying to get my money back. I will go cyber power or Origin PC. Ordered November 2021, currently May 2022. I am far less patient then you and its time to end this relationship wish dell.

I ordered a r13 with a 3080 in it on march 3rd. It just went into production yesterday. It's supposed to be here by the 25th. Hoping I don't get hit with delays.
I have gotten the r13 full spect out 3090 12900k 64gb ddr5 4tb took a holde month for me but I’ve gotten when it first came out like the second days it was it was ordered and I have the white Alienware chair haven’t got to Chance to build it waiting to move to a new place so my cats don’t tear it up
Your best bet would be to cancel the R13 and buy another brand. Spending over 4 grand for a computer that is going to run 15 to 20 degrees hotter than any other gaming PC is inexcusable. That's not to even mention the bad OEM parts and inability to upgrade the mobo or the PSU. The liquid cooler is horrendous too. The R13 is just as hot as the R10, they fixed nothing.
I DONT CARE ABOUT DELAYS because the entire world is on delay right now, so thats to b expected , its not dells fault , but i do care about the PC working like its supposed once it arrives.
Hey Dmitriy. Good to see you. I would spend this much on a prebuilt, however I just built a PC recently on the channel that was more expensive that 4k. Primary reason being it is a workstation I edit 4K videos for you guys on, also starting live streaming soon and want to play games at mid-high settings while giving you good image quality on your end of the stream. I agree for the average PC gamer 4K is ridiculous and unnecessary, by the way I just made a video where I mentioned you by name for your support of the channel.
You’re entitled to your opinion, but the issue is not “supply chain” it is the lack of communication between their departments and also with their customers, also some of the scumming tactics which have been pointed out in previous videos as well as other TH-camrs content such as Linus tech tips secret shopper video and gamer nexus tear down of an Alienware desktop

MY ALIENWARE experience I got into PC a little over a year ago. I was tired of my PlayStation 4 and I wanted to get into gaming online with PCs ( also it was impossible to get PS5). I wanted to build a computer... that wasn't really an option cuz I don't like paying retail let alone scalpers. Bought an omen l30 it wouldn't even load a game but I tried several things... tried all kinds of things ended up returning it to Best Buy. my wife talked me into going with Dell... I bought r10 5900x rx6800xt 16gb 3200mjz ram 512 ssd 1t sata killer wifi. It was 2800 bucks. And I was sorely disappointed at the ordering process with Dell online. It keeps you someone informed but just enough until it gets shipped and then there's a week where you don't know where the f*** it is because it's leaving some country and coming to America. With that computer the motherboard is a joke I can only get 117 W out of it with 5900x. I was really disappointed with that and I will really excited when the r13 came out. I had been watching all the videos about how they've been listening to their customers fixed everything and it looked amazing and I thought they did. I ordered mine at the end of October and didn't receive it until right before Christmas and I was supposed to get it at the beginning of December... December 6. I was super excited still I got it and it would seem to work but then I realized it had the same awcc software for overclocking and then I realized that software would only do my CPU and it doesn't really do anything anyway. it won't do anything to my GPU cuz it has a 6900xt and it can't do anything to the ram because it's not enabled. even though hynix Dell Ram ddr5 is on the XTU leaderboards right now but not in a Dell motherboard. Dell you're slipping and you're pinching pennies in all the wrong places. And my gut tells me that there are people that work for you that hate it and I hate how you treat your customers and how you cheap out on them. You guys doing an amazing job on 90% of everything but it's the last 10% that you really mess up.

All this considered, combined with the recent drop in GPU prices in general; If my build is still waiting for my purchase to enter "In Production" state by Monday, I'll be cancelling and looking elsewhere. I still enjoy gaming on my r5 w/SLI 1070s; which has been stable since I bought it 'when IT was the bees' knees (minus the GPUs, obviously)'.... Time to find out if I can fit a current 3080 in it. Would rather go that route and not have to deal with the anxiety of waiting and buyers' remorse of this charade Dell is playing. I've never had buyers remorse 'before getting what I bought' before... new experience for me - never again.

My Alienware R9 just died and Dell couldn’t fix it, I think it probably needed a flash of the bios but not sure. So I’m getting a refund for the computer since it was under a warranty (thankfully) and I’m going to build my own computer, I’ve had enough with pre builds and want to do one myself (it also took a long time to send it in and get a response to what was wrong with it which doesn’t make me super happy)
Get this, followed your recommendation and ordered an r13 from outlet with expedited shipping. Emailed support yesterday asking why it didn't ship. They emailed today and said they will ask to expedite it. Just a couple of hours later I check order status and it's canceled!! No winning with these guys.

I got the R13 with the i9 and 3080ti recently and it was shipped out within 3 days. Took 7 days to get to me because fed ex sent the package to a different state.
My Alienware R-4 is getting a bit old now, running Windows 7 that I can't update. GeForce GTX 680 recently died, which was a sign that it was time to order a new desktop. I ordered the R-13 with the 3080 video card, 2TB SSD hard drive, and 32GB of RAM. Already have a 32" gaming monitor. I'd appreciate additional R-13 content in the future.
I ordered one with a 3090 as well. They told me on multiple conversations that they weren't short on any items in my computer. I ended up waiting and got it but it took a while.
My R13 build was delayed from the 14th so March 25th. I’m pretty sure it’s just a made up date and it’s still not going to be sent out. Such a disappointment from a big company like this and when you’re a DFS member.
if they don't have a inventory..then why does parts become unavailable while building....i've received so much lip service from Dell and then started receiving scam phone calls after complaining for my R13 two month wait

yeah i don't understand that crap at all. i received (on time a month after the order) my r10, but i was surprised it made it. i got a 1660ti, mainly for cost but i can update it later on, but it was the gpu that was holding it up. when i inquired about changing the part to another gpu (one that showed a faster delivery time on the builder on their website so i knew it would possibly be faster) she said i would have to cancel the order and reorder. why can't they just change the part? that blows my mind. i don't understand why you would have to cancel the entire order when one part of it is the holdup. that needs to be revisited.... hopefully these gpu delays will get better but...

Dell is ridiculous. I ordered a R14 in November, It arrived December 4th in two weeks. It broke on Dec 30th. It took a little more than a month to have techs come out and attempt to repair it, fight with out of stock parts and a month later the PC was sent back because it was not able to be repaired. I ordered an R13 with a 3090 fully decked out as soon as I drop the R14 off at FedEx. Shipping was a month out, month goes by and it gets pushed back another month and a half to April 29th. Cancelled my order as soon as I got the update. I ordered a BETTER PC that was cheaper from a different company and it arrived in 3 days...
Get an RTX 3090 from BB, pretty much all in stock. You can then build your own pc for a good price.

You can check out the Dell outlet that I showed in this video, or Amazon both of those are solid options to get a desktop quickly, however you are limited with customization since you’re pretty much buying what they have in inventory

Get this, they delayed my r14 order for over two months because the part “darkside of the moon 750W, water cooled cpu, solid side chassis” was out of stock. So the freaking case!?

Definitely weird, since 3090's are readily available (non-FE). Hopefully, the new R13/R14 cooling is comparable to a custom build, as my 3090 with the R10 was ridiculous. I had to use Noctua iPPC, thermal pad and paste to keep that bad boy under 100C. Even in a PC with those Noctua iPPCs, the VRAM would hit 94C. I definitely prefer the non-LHR Dell 3080's to the 3090, but I understand wanting the big boy.
If you look at the Dell Outlet like you are highlighting, you can find non-LHR GPUs in there. However, the only 3080 non-LHR GPUs will be in R10s/R12s and not the new hotness. You could get the R13 from Dell Outlet with a 3090 for $4K.

On my second R14, first one had No post on mobo, they tried to fix but then GPU was also dead, they RMAed the PC. looking to return my second one now it restarts randomly, gaming, idling or browsing. Have tried everything now I am trying to get my money back. I will go cyber power or Origin PC. Ordered November 2021, currently May 2022. I am far less patient then you and its time to end this relationship wish dell.

It's a Dell reference card. SO it isn't branded and is specific to them.

Your best bet would be to cancel the R13 and buy another brand. Spending over 4 grand for a computer that is going to run 15 to 20 degrees hotter than any other gaming PC is inexcusable. That's not to even mention the bad OEM parts and inability to upgrade the mobo or the PSU. The liquid cooler is horrendous too. The R13 is just as hot as the R10, they fixed nothing.

Hey Dmitriy. Good to see you. I would spend this much on a prebuilt, however I just built a PC recently on the channel that was more expensive that 4k. Primary reason being it is a workstation I edit 4K videos for you guys on, also starting live streaming soon and want to play games at mid-high settings while giving you good image quality on your end of the stream. I agree for the average PC gamer 4K is ridiculous and unnecessary, by the way I just made a video where I mentioned you by name for your support of the channel.

MY ALIENWARE experience
I got into PC a little over a year ago. I was tired of my PlayStation 4 and I wanted to get into gaming online with PCs ( also it was impossible to get PS5). I wanted to build a computer... that wasn't really an option cuz I don't like paying retail let alone scalpers. Bought an omen l30 it wouldn't even load a game but I tried several things... tried all kinds of things ended up returning it to Best Buy. my wife talked me into going with Dell... I bought r10 5900x rx6800xt 16gb 3200mjz ram 512 ssd 1t sata killer wifi. It was 2800 bucks. And I was sorely disappointed at the ordering process with Dell online. It keeps you someone informed but just enough until it gets shipped and then there's a week where you don't know where the f*** it is because it's leaving some country and coming to America. With that computer the motherboard is a joke I can only get 117 W out of it with 5900x. I was really disappointed with that and I will really excited when the r13 came out. I had been watching all the videos about how they've been listening to their customers fixed everything and it looked amazing and I thought they did. I ordered mine at the end of October and didn't receive it until right before Christmas and I was supposed to get it at the beginning of December... December 6. I was super excited still I got it and it would seem to work but then I realized it had the same awcc software for overclocking and then I realized that software would only do my CPU and it doesn't really do anything anyway. it won't do anything to my GPU cuz it has a 6900xt and it can't do anything to the ram because it's not enabled. even though hynix Dell Ram ddr5 is on the XTU leaderboards right now but not in a Dell motherboard. Dell you're slipping and you're pinching pennies in all the wrong places. And my gut tells me that there are people that work for you that hate it and I hate how you treat your customers and how you cheap out on them. You guys doing an amazing job on 90% of everything but it's the last 10% that you really mess up.
