- From the Tyrrhenian Sea in the west to the Adriatic in the east, Italy is a country full of history, culture and beautiful scenery, and is the perfect setting for an epic bike ride. Ollie and Alan from @gcnitalia took the new Wilier Granturismo SLR on a 270km journey across Tuscany and over the Apennine mountains to Alan’s mama’s house on the Adriatic coast for a traditional Italian dinner!

After watching this video I'm inspired to do a mountains to the Baltic journey in Poland, but I don't think it's doable in one day ;)

To present homeland of three pro cyclists who neighbour themselves in circle less than 20 km: Tadej Pogačar, Primož Roglič and Matej Mohorič. Lower Gorenjska region or "Little Flandria" as they called it with mountains around. Great place for cycling.

Cycling across Italy is such a dream. Beautiful roads, beautiful country, beautiful bicycles.
This has to be one of the best video edits for cycling I have seen, talk about motivation to get on your bike and do something epic.

That's a serious ride on amazing roads, with incredible scenery. I would love to ride there. I only ever rode in Italy once, from Lugano to Milano at the end of a bicycle touring trip. So much fun! I fondly recall getting help with directions on my map from two fabulously helpful Italian guys on the roadside. They helped me, and the they shouted Arrivederci, Amercano!, as I rode off! Hilariously fun memories. Some day again.

About a decade ago my partner and I rode cheap hire bikes from Firenze to Siena and back over 3 days (one day each way plus a day just in Siena), absolutely loved it!
Was such a chill and beautiful way to travel in such a great part of the world.
Bikes are the best method of exploration. Fast enough to travel a long way, slow enough to enjoy the area 🙌
Yes, we found we stopped at a lot of places that we either would not have noticed from a car, or that we physically couldn't have in a car due to there being nowhere to pull off the road.
The age old conundrum for northern lads when referring to the evening meal; tea or dinner?!

Absolutely Ollie - I look forward to dipping my back tire in the Ohio River in Cincinnati and riding back to Cleveland to dip my front tire in Lake Erie riding the Ohio to Erie Trail (OTET). Great video, watching again before my next big ride. Fun on bikes - that's what it's all about.

We did the entire Blue Ridge Parkway in 2014 - five of us, with one person driving each day, about 100mi/day. It was amazing
I really need to go back to Tuscany. Last time I was there was for the World Championships, on the climb to Fiesole, in an absolute deluge. In a restaurant at the end, they just thrust a huge fiasco of local red wine at us, as we evidently needed it! A spectacular place to ride.

Beautiful, comfortable bikes, good company and such Fantastic scenery to ride through. Topped with Mama's capiletti al ragu at the end. Geez Ollie you drew the lucky straw for sure. Tireno Adriatico is my favorite race and has been since I first saw it. After that comes the Giro. Italy is so freaking beautiful and full of variety of landscape and vistas. I never would have guessed Williers is an Italian company...

In the US when you do a coast to coast ride, it's typical to dip your rear tire in the water where you leave and dip your front tire where you arrive. The feet thing was a little strange.
