Didn't know you are a bikepacker too lol. Just yesterday I bought two plane tickets for me and my friend to Serbia. It's gonna be a great month-long adventure:)
This was not just a TH-cam video. It was a work of art. A cinematic adventure. Fresh, uplifting, really felt like I was there. And the sunflowers… oh the sunflowers :) tysm Bernardo
I'm unable to explain why, but yes, oh the sunflowers. I've seen sunflowers fields plenty of times but for some reason the shot at 28:37 caught me off guard. Made me tear up for no apparent reason. Maybe the way it portrayed the simplicity of life and the beauty of it all. All the stress we have in our normal everyday lifes makes us forget sometimes that being happy shouldn't be that complicated after all...
When I was 23 in the late 1990s I cycled from England down through France, Spain and Morocco to the edge of the Sahara. I did the same as you in this video, same kind of panniers, slept under the stars, saw great things and met great people, and all with the power of legs! Now I'm married and a father, so it's good to see your video with my wife and start to think, hmm 🤔 maybe time to dust off the panniers again and take the family this time👍
Do it ! My parents have taken me in this type of trip ever since I was a kid, now 19 and I can't get enough of it. It truly is an awesome experience, even with kids.
Same. From Sea to the mountains in Poland and back. I was young and wild, now I have son and if he ever find this idea to himself I would never sleep again 🤫 That was so dangerous ...
Good life... Sharing information iš inévitable factor to keep good relationships... sexual love bases on human love. materialists can skip human love so savage people attack and hide if résistances opposé...
I did 6 weeks cycling in Portugal and Spain 40+ years ago with my wife. Your trip brought back a lot of special memories to me. You're right about the people you meet along the way. Thanks Bernardo.
At 4:23 you get out of a tent. You show your bike unsecured, and your pannier bags unsecured too. You are carrying apparently £8k+ worth of filming gear + that bike is worth £1.2k. Did you REALLY sleep in a tent EVERY night? If so where because wild camping in the UK is illegal AND how did you secure your bike and belongings each night?!
@@edwardcullen3251 This was an expensive ad. It had a very well produced intro. He didn't sleep in a tent once. His cooking utensils were brand new and used once. He wore a freshly laundered and ironed shirt everyday. Most of the views and likes were probably paid for too. It was even scripted.
Great documentary and videography. I did a 4-country solo bike tour (Germany, Netherlands, England and France back in 1974). Today you enjoy the advantages of cellphone, GPS, drones, GoPro cameras all of which make it so much more enjoyable and informative. I stayed at Youth Hostels, so I did not need cooking equipment. Muito bem, compadre.
My cancer treatement is almost over...I have been in intense treatement in hospital for over 10 months...and now my body is weak, out of shape and need maintanence...so i am looking to buy a cycle and go on a trip like this....this inspire me so much...and the video is soo much fun to watch...thank you...keep it up...❤❤❤❤❤❤
I took a simiiar trip some years back Denmark to Greece and it feels so similar to yours, biking through more than 14 countries in the end. The amount of random encounters with people on their own journeys was so frequent and inspiring. I met a guy in Croatia who had biked from china on a self-made bamboo bike. The world is amazing and to all of you people who thinks this was just a lucky chance his trip became this amazing. Its really not, the world is full of wonders and people to meet and I can only encourage everyone whos on the fence to try it. Thanks for the video, I will most certainly make another trip now.
Since you have experienced a lot and met many people on your journey, can you tell if you think that’d be safe for a woman to go an a solo bike trip like that? Did you or people around you often encounter people with bad intentions, felt uneasy? It’s certainly different than being surrounded by people in train, cities etc. most of the time. Sorry if the question is off. Your comment is inspiring
@@heybutwhy3421I didn't encounter any threatening behavior on my trips, all solo. I met some solo women on the road and they haven't encountered any bad situations either. This is all inside Europe mind you.. some countries I have heard differently. I wouldn't recommend going further east than Turkey(probably not in Turkey either) alone as a woman, some do it but I have heard some unpleasant encounters. Overall you are spending most time in the countryside where crimes a extremely rare and good people are abundant.
@@outdoorsvoyage6993 Thank you!! That’s a good point, about the countryside. Usually I feel safer surrounded by people, but still most of the bad situations I had were in the crowd. I will do more research before going anywhere since there are different types of crimes more likely to happen in certain places.
Touché. Couldn’t agree more. I don’t cycle. I hike, and hiked through Grenoble in France, into Geneva, the Canton of Vaud in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Austria in the summer of 2018, as a 29 year old, and met a lot of great people, young and old. So many adventures, and built friendships along the way. It’s worth it, and I then flew back home to Abu Dhabi.
I can't thank you enough for this video. When I turned 18 I grabbed my bike and went on a very similar trip (even trough some of the exact same places) through France and Spain on the Camino. It was such a life-changing experience. You just brought me back. It's like I was there again. And that is invaluable... I also filmed my trip, but it's been almost 2 years and I still didn't manage to tell my story. You made me cry with this piece of art. So genuine. So true. I can vouch for everything you said, I experienced it, and it's like nothing else... I'm gonna go and edit my video from the trip now. Thank you once more 🥹
cieszę się, że Polacy też są w tej ekipie samorozwoju. Też kończę niedługo 18 lat (dokładnie za dwa iesiące) i planuję wybrać się na podobną wycieczkę!
I cycled from Ayia Napa in Cyprus to Calais in Northern France. The year was 2012, I rode through, Cyprus, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Monaco and France. The longest I cycled in one day was in France, 183km. The whole trip was 5,500kms or 3,300mls. I was still just at the age of 42 yrs. Wow what an adventure! I'm 54yrs now. I have since owned to boats, but my second is going to take me around the world! Great to know another one in a million adventurer!!! 👍
Hey Bernardo, I have lived in France for 20 years and I came across your video by accident. The first town that you passed through after arriving in France on your video was Bricquebec, the town with the castle at the end of the high street. That's where I live. Amazing that you did this wonderful journey in the hottest summer for decades. Well done young man, lovely video.
I also ran across this by accident He cycled past my old village which I have moved from, 5 years ago, and left for a new continent. I was missing it a lot when I ran across this video. Thank you :)
Steve's story is amazingggggg. He inspires me a lot and I love his perspective about life, not care about what you will eat or where you're gonna sleep. Awww, love you and love Steve 3000
This is so beautiful! I am halfway through your film and I realise how much I admire your relationship with yourself. I've been travelling alone, too, for 10 months, but a lot of the time I spend with anxiety, thinking "Am I doing the right thing?" "Did I book the right thing?" "Did I spend too much?" or when I'd be on the ferry, for example, I would be afraid going on deck because a part of me would be afraid someone would tell me that I wasn't allowed there, or that I would look stupid half of the time of my trip being by myself in restaurants, bars and places. My trip will continue in a few, and I would LOVE to adopt your comfort with yourself and your relationship to the world with so much enthusiasm, trust and vitality! You are the best.
It's really difficult, isn't it? Letting go of a lifetime of anxiety. I'd be more like you than him in this situation. But if we stay strong, "care" less about others, and take it one day at a time, we can slowly improve.
I just want to point out that social media portays only a fraction of a person and in this case, of the whole long journey. Also the content creator decides how to portray it. So it may seem they are super happy and confident when condensed to a 40min video of highlights.
Keep your head high at all times . Life is like a rollercoaster with ups and downs. This video is great but in reality doesn’t show or capture all of it but the charm friendly guy visiting nice places . For sure climbing the mountains with a heavy loaded bike is not easy let alone the hole trip. If you are on your journey keep going take your time and learn more about your self you are doing great . Try to be the best of you from yesterday in terms of anxiety and you will be fine . One night staying in areas that you are not supposed to doesn’t harm anyone as long as you don’t leave trace behind. All the best!!
I found this video a couple of months ago, it left me really wanting to do something similar, and here I am now after going on my first cycling trip. I had never been abroad before now, but I have now. I grabbed my things and packed everything I thought I would need and cycled from my home in Scotland to France, I had just turned 20, finished work for the summer and wasn't sure what to do with my time before uni started again and I'm so happy it's something that I've now done. thank you
I can confidently say this is by farrr the best video i've seen on youtube! I laughed and cried and teared up so many time in this 40 mintues of watching your beautiful short story and journey. Thank you so so much for sharing this with the world. I could watch 3 hours of this without taking my eyes off it. Best of wishes for you Bernardo :)
This is a masterpiece! For those who have done it before, will know how difficult it is to film a trip like this. You did not just done it, but done it like with a team! The perfect framing, the consistent colours across different cameras. I appreciate the sound the best! On top of this, the energy of the film actually matched your personality! Best part is your personality and energy makes this adventure so enjoyable to watch! Thank you for doing this!
About ten years ago I crossed several European countries on my Marine bike. This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life, I still cherish it in my heart and will always do. This beautiful video brought up a lot of good memories and made me consider the opportunity to get back to bike travelling. Thank you!
The peace of mind i got from these videos are just on whole another leve i just simply love it i mean words are not enough to describe the effort it would have taken him to make these video.thank you so much we are lucky to have you
City biker here. Loved this video. And the man who told his story was truly a beautiful soul and person. He had the prettiest eyes and he was so intelligent. You get to ride and meet some wonderful people. I love riding. I regret the day it ends because life will be so rough for me without it.
I have watched this 4 times now. This is the most beautiful video on youtube that exists. It explains the struggles, ups, downs of this lifestyle. If i wasnt a kid, i would go on a journey like this too.
I recommend watching Shiey! He sometimes does train hopping videos around a country, the views are insane, and what's even crazier is his confidence when climbing. Make sure to give him a watch!
Hello Bernardo! This video made me cry, you saw so much on your journey and met people, visited different places, it’s so cool! But when it was all over, I remembered those whom you met along the way, with whom you had heart-to-heart conversations during these 38 days, it touched my soul. Good luck and success in life, you are a very kind, positive person! May God give you great goodness for your heart of gold! I’m writing from Kazakhstan, random person
This is probably one of the few videos on TH-cam that I watched 'till the end. It took so much effort, strength and time for you to cycle across the Europe, but in the end it gave so much fun.
Bernardo... this is an Oscar-winning one. You had warned us this would be your greatest work to date but it totally surpassed my personal expectations. The people you met along the road definitely made it way more memorable and meaningful. Bom trabalho! 💯
Bro the camerawork on this is insane. How did you manage to both bike for such long distances and create such beautiful videography?! My mind is blown!
Small tip for people who are on a road trip in France : you can almost always find fresh drinkable and free water in inner city cemetaries, but more rarely when the cemetary is apart from the (generally small) town. And in small villages you can also find free toilets generally not far away from the church.
Such a beautifully documented journey! As I have mentioned several times on this channel that Bernardo is really under appreciated for his work. This channel is so underrated and this guy needs so much more recognition. I genuinely feel bad.
Wow, I’m amazed by the coincidence of seeing Sylvain in your video. I met him a couple of months later in the Bolivian Amazon where we spend a few days together in the same hostel, celebrating his birthday and watching the World Cup final. Love your adventure and video! Cheers from Amsterdam.
One of the best cycling videos I've watched. This kind of video will give the true meaning of adventure. I watched the whole video without even getting bored. I get to be excited every time I see the beautiful landscapes and hear the stories of the people you've met.
Amazing Video, as usual Bernardo! Would love to hear more BTS of this trip. How did you plan the routes? what was your luggage like? How did you charge your electronics? How did you make sure your campsites were safe? Maybe a Q&A video would help :)
Oh, wow! Such a wonderful 45 min doc. The time and energy Bernardo must have put into all of that b-roll and those multiple camera shots is so impressive. Bernardo's heart and appreciation of other people seals the deal. Keep on, rollin' Bernardo!...And keep on truckin', Steve!
Such a cinematic film, thank you. I made almost the same trip as Steven, when I was 18, depressed and lonely. On my trip I relied on the local's donations and goodwill. Realising that people actually cared, is what really brought me back to life. I wish more people would do journeys like this because it teaches you the most about yourself. Subbed and Thank You!
dude, this made me cry 🥺🥺 I see myself as an adventurer, as a true explorer and free spirit but for the last 6 months, I have been recovering from severe burnout and didn`t have the mental or physical capacity to do much other than rest. Seeing this film and your incredible journey made me miss my old life, full of spontaneous and exciting travels, of spending unforgettable moments with total strangers and ending up at places you could never imagine! Your story inspires me to be excited about all the adventures jet to come, even if right now they still feel so far away! Thank you for sharing the road with us 🥰
@@bbacalhau Hey! My and my friend want to do this after our exams next year, would it be possible for you to give us the route? I have really been inspired by this video, and love the west coast of france. Thanks, Louis
I’ve just discovered your channel. Thank you for sharing your trip of a lifetime. I love your outlook, and I agree that the humble bicycle is the best way to see the world.
it's hard to put into words how impressed I am with the level of quality you put into this video. You are a true storyteller, you make it look so effortless. Really inspiring, thanks for taking us along with you on this beautiful trip!
@@freespeechoneeach I've been thinking too, for so long. But it all seems so scary when we're used to the modern city life. The uncertainty of accommodation, the distances, the safety...
@@zigmasj6572 hey im not suggesting a 600 mile continental trek , just get on a bike. a couple of miles a day. that will turn into a trip to the next town. explore country roads youve never been on. fill your lungs with fresh air. see wildlife you never new exists near you. this morning i have just done a 30 mile loop , planned it last night . the sense of achievement is a buzz. im 57 and 30 miles is about my limit nowadays.
@@freespeechoneeach That's awesome. And you're right, big adventures start small. There's plenty I haven't seen around me, will build up. I guess the lust for adventure keeps increasing after that. Thanks for the inspo
Repent of sin and Trust in Jesus! John 14:6 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Matthew 7:13-23 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
This is so beautiful to watch. You are such a talented storyteller and you captures this experience so remarkably well I felt like i was there with you! Keep shining bro 👏🏾
Hello Bernardo, last year, to celebrate my retirement, I cycled from home (Belgium) to Lisbon. Seeing your video brought back so many good memories; I passed a lot of places that are shown in this video. You describe it so well what a bike trip like this does to somebody. g.
I gotta say the first 30 seconds are the most important in a video. And you ABSOLUTELY NAILED it. I don't know anything about you or your channel but this is a masterclass in storytelling. Edit: I wish we had bike infrastructure in America...
This video was a lot more then just what the title said. It was an emotional rollercoaster, an amazing one, everything about this video the curtesy, style and overall effort is what made me shed a tear. This is my first time coming across such an unique channel but I know for sure that I’ll be staying!
Muito bem feito Bernardo! Obrigado! My 1st long bike ride was 7,500km from the Pacific coast of Oregon to the Atlantic coast of Massachusetts in the USA. Then I pedaled 8,000km around 9 countries in Europe, going as far north as Nordkapp. Then I pedaled 30,000km from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, passing through Brazil on the way where I learned Portuguese. You are a talented film maker, who is full of a beautiful Joie de vivre, and I salute you! The most amazing part of my around-the-world bike ride was all of the kind, loving, generous people I met along the way. I "almost" died more than once during the trip, but that is part of what makes an adventure worth doing. Tudo Bem Cara! I hope u go on to do another bike ride soon.
Dude, amazing video. Last year I cycled from the middle of the Netherlands all the way to Nice (South of France) 1600KM. And this video felt really similar. All the little villages that you pass by, the people you meet. And the slower phase of traveling felt relaxing. I probably gonna do it again but then for a longer period of time (3 months to half a year). Beautiful video and the cinematography was on point 👌😌
What an incredible video, Bernardo! Exciting to see your adventures as always, but also amazing to watch your storytelling, cinematography, and editing. Great to watch the little interviews with the people you meet too. Looking forward to your van life era!
Hi Bernardo, Wow, your cycling adventure across Europe sounds incredible! Congratulations on successfully cycling 38 days to bring your new bike back home. It must have been a fantastic opportunity to explore some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe and meet new people along the way. Your determination and dedication to completing such a journey are truly admirable. I can only imagine the memories you must have created on this epic adventure. Thank you for sharing your experience, and I wish you many more exciting adventures ahead!😉
This is a proof that you do not have to own expensive stuff and be aero and weight like 3 kilos, to enjoy the trip. Also you do not have to be able to ride 200km a day, and be sleep deprived and go to the limits. Way to go! I hope this will inspire many people.
I just randomly came across this video and watched the whole thing without even realizing how long it was. I was just captivated by the beauty and the adventure of it all! It's such a lovely video and now I want to go bikepacking through Europe too.
Obrigado Bernando, voce acaba de ensinar muitas coisas para um cara de 64 anos de idade que vai fazer sua primeira cicloviagem de Atenas a Lisboa. Muito obrigado. Inspirador
Brigthened up my day! Absolutely brilliant ❤We actually take it for granted that you can do this across all Europe with: feeling safe (sleeping in uknown areas), staying healthy (not being bitten by some poisonous bugs etc.), drinking clean water (for free!), not being robbed off your posessions, etc. I hope that even our grandchildren will be able to enjoy this.
this is one of the best youtube videos i've ever seen. so beautifully documented. love every bit of it, from the cinematography to the music. thank you for such an incredible video! ❤
Damn, damn, damn, this film is excellent, extremely good filming, audio, comment and very, very uplifting, it's like the happiness is spread everywhere and you get a bit of the feeling of going along all those bike paths.
I came for a youtube video but watched a full length movie! The editing and shots were so good! I can't even imagine how much time you spent on this video! It is now my favourite video on TH-cam! :)
One of the best TH-cam videos I've ever seen, I remember watching a year ago and now I'm back. This video represents what I want to do in life, explore the world in unconventional ways.
Amazing video Bernardo! The colour grading, framing, music everything that went into this masterpiece was top notch, truly an enjoyable watch, the 41 minutes melted away, thank you for taking us on this journey with you!
Omg Bernardo, idk how I’ve had this video on my TH-cam, but now I feel so much better inside because of these people like you. Now I really understand that we have just one life and we have to or firstly try to do everything. I’ve just cried because of the beauty of these countries and of the Europe at all, and for me it was the amazing way just to run from the grey routine in Russia now….omg I love these video so much, THAK U 😭💗
I had to stop myself from getting worried about your lack of bicycle maintenance knowledge, or how you were using your phone and head unit, because what's really great about this video and your trip is the pure and authentic enthusiasm. I wish I had had your confidence to do the same when I was your age!
Hello everyone . A little update for everyone about my journey . I managed to order all equipement i need and unfortunately i needed to take a job now for a month as i worked one job and they never paid me so i ran out of money and now i got a job contract with another job and will be working to get money to continue . I wont be uploading videos for now and i will upload as soon as i finish the month of work . Thank you all for supporting me and show my friend some love . God bless you all❤
Steves story is encouraging. The mindset to not think about what to eat, where to sleep. You can tell he's come a long way and matured from his depression.
This was lovely. We are just now planning to go from Croatia to Portugal with our Caravan. This was a great reminder why we started planning our trip. Thank you ever so much. What a great video this was!
Ini adalah video yang luar biasa. Perjalanan bersepeda Bernardo melintasi Eropa, sendirian, dan mengenakan baju biasa sangat menginspirasi. Semoga Bernardo lanjut bersepeda ke pulau Bali, Sumatra, Jawa, Kalimantan, Nusatenggara, Maluku, Papua, dan Sulawesi di Indonesia. Kami menantikan video Bernardo selanjutnya. Salam hangat dari Jakarta!
Another great masterpiece! Your journey with the stories from other people you met along the way brought me to tears. I have this itching feeling to travel to Europe and honestly, you deserve more attention!! Thank you for this inspiring story Bernardo :)
If you die tonight, do you know where you're going? Did you know that Jesus Christ is THE Truth, the life and the only way to Heaven? Revelation 20:15 ''Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.'' Through Jesus Christ, God offers you a FREE gift - forgiveness. All you need to do is repent, turn away from your sins and evil ways, from now on put your faith completely in Jesus Christ and be obedient to Him. Biblical explanation of the Gospel: God doesn’t want anybody in hell, but you must understand why we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go there. He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteous, but rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). God gave us free will and since Adam sinned in the garden, sin is the nature of our flesh and we ALL have sinned. (Romans 3:23) The law demands death to those who sin (Romans 6:23). Since we have all sinned, we all deserve hell. Revelation 21:8 says that all liars will go to hell. Yes, even if you have lied once in your life, you are sentenced to hell - that's how high God's standards are of moral perfection because God is holy and righteous, there is not one sin in Him. For someone to be justified before holy God they have to be sinless, that's why everyone need Jesus Christ - for He lived a sinless life, died on the cross and rose from the dead on the third day. None of us are good in God’s eyes, because for God good means moral perfection. We all have broken God’s commandments, we all have sinned in our lives so none of us are good. ‘’For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.’’ (James 2:10). Our carnal mind is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's moral law and it never will (Romans 8:7). We hate the thought of God for the same reason a criminal hates a policeman - we know we have sinned against God and are guilty of it and we don't want to be damned. No good works will ever save you. You can't earn salvation by good works, because God will judge us for our sin. Good News is that Jesus Christ lived a perfect, holy, sinless life and He died for our sins according to the Scriptures, He was buried and He was raised from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.’’ (John 3:16) We aren’t saved by our good works, but only by the grace of God through faith in Christ. ''For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Jesus said ‘’it is finished’’ (John 19:30) just before He died on the cross, which means He paid the fine for our sins (past, present, future) to be forgiven only IF we repent and trust in Him. This is how you can get saved from sin and hell - repent of your sins and trust in Jesus Christ. Get to know Him by reading God's Word. So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.” (Luke 11:13) ''What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!'' (Romans 6:15) ''Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out'' (Acts 3:19) Repentance is a turning away from sin and all evil works, and it always results in changed behavior (Luke 3:8). Biblically, a person who repents does not continue willfully in sin. While sorrow from sin is not equivalent to repentance, it is certainly an element of scriptural repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). Do not play a hypocrite. ''God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.'' (1 John 1:5-6) (John 3:3) Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." If you have repented and have genuine faith in Jesus Christ then you will receive the gift of Holy Spirit and be born-again spiritually. When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession - to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14) Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36) ''You will know them by their fruits'' (Matthew 7) If you have been truly born-again with the Holy Spirit and He has regenerated your heart, you will desire righteousnes - to do what is good and righteous in God's eyes, to seek God everyday in His Word and prayer, to strengthen your relationship with God. You will no longer desire to willfully continue living in sin but will want to obey God out of your love for Him because of His amazing grace revealed to us through the death and resurrection of His Son. ''Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.'' (2 Corinthians 5:17) ''For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.'' (Eph 2:10) You will have a testimony - of what your life had been before and how has it changed now when you have surrendered it to Lord Jesus Christ. As a declaration and affirmation of your faith in Jesus Christ, get baptised in water because He commanded us to do so. In John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.'' ''Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit'' (Matthew 28:19) ''Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.'' (Acts 2:41) ''And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you also - not the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God - through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,'' (1 Peter 3:21) ''We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.'' (Romans 6:4) ''Having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.'' (Colossians 2:12) Please get right with God and get to know Jesus Christ personally today before it’s too late, because there’s not much time left! "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.’’ (Mark 13:32) Get to know Christ through God's Word - Bible. At first I recommend reading Gospel of John and book of Romans. God bless you! Jeremiah 29:13 - ''You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.''
This is fantastic Bernardo, I'm so happy for you. I have been coming back to your video many times during these days and it has been so inspiring for me to start going out with the bike in this late winter/early spring in Germany. Thank you!
Excelente trabalho Bernardo, fazes tudo parecer tão simples! Não é qualquer pessoa que se desafia assim e que consegue partilhar a sua história de uma forma tão comovente e inspiradora.
Very enjoyable - cycling through mainland Europe is wonderful; here in the UK motorists seem to hate the very idea of human propelled, two wheeled transport! Never realised European bikes had their brake levers the opposite way to ones sold in the UK. Surely motorbikes have their front brake on the right though? Recognised SO many places from this: Mont St Michel (visited on a wet, cold New Year's Day), Royan (had a holiday home near here) and Biarritz. Cross the Franco-Spanish border at Hendaye last June and, like you, I was surprised at no blue sign with the yellow stars and Espagna too. Think you're right, it's a Basque thing. Loved that you did part of the Camino Frances - have walked that three times and the Caminho Portugues from Porto once. Getting too old for long distance walks, perhaps I ought to dust off the bike instead? Boa viagem!
What a fantastic video of an amazing experience with first class filming and editing! I have been lucky enough to have travelled many corners of the world, and i am also a keen cyclist. After the pandemic and redundancy from the travel industry this I came across this video on a particularly down day. I now have London to Lisbon in my sights.

Now I'm married and a father, so it's good to see your video with my wife and start to think, hmm 🤔 maybe time to dust off the panniers again and take the family this time👍

This isn’t just a TH-cam video about cycling it’s a beautifully made short film. A work of art with wonderful filming and storytelling.

At 4:23 you get out of a tent. You show your bike unsecured, and your pannier bags unsecured too. You are carrying apparently £8k+ worth of filming gear + that bike is worth £1.2k.

Small tip for people who are on a road trip in France : you can almost always find fresh drinkable and free water in inner city cemetaries, but more rarely when the cemetary is apart from the (generally small) town. And in small villages you can also find free toilets generally not far away from the church.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

What an incredible video, Bernardo! Exciting to see your adventures as always, but also amazing to watch your storytelling, cinematography, and editing. Great to watch the little interviews with the people you meet too. Looking forward to your van life era!
Thank you Shivam! It means a lot coming from you!
You are the most adorable, endearing human. Keeping doing what you do and being you! You’re my new Ted Lasso.
Hi Bernardo,
Wow, your cycling adventure across Europe sounds incredible!
I might've held a tear there watching you doing all that. Congratulations on living so well
Very interesting. I'm beginning to think that all I have to do to see much of Europe is keep connecting to you bicyclists. Thank you very much!
I just randomly came across this video and watched the whole thing without even realizing how long it was. I was just captivated by the beauty and the adventure of it all! It's such a lovely video and now I want to go bikepacking through Europe too.
Absolute work of art. I live in england, near where you started, and im very tempted to do the same! What an incredible video
This video warmed my heart. Video is so well paced.
Just want to thank you for the effort and sharing us the moment.
Hope you do well in life :)
Your video is lovely ❤ beautiful scenery and shooting! Also you seem like such a joyful person, a delight to watch the journey through your eyes ☀️
A lot of respect for the hassle you have gone through to capture those fly-by shots.🙏
Revelation 20:15 ''Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.''
Through Jesus Christ, God offers you a FREE gift - forgiveness. All you need to do is repent, turn away from your sins and evil ways,
from now on put your faith completely in Jesus Christ and be obedient to Him.
Biblical explanation of the Gospel:
God doesn’t want anybody in hell, but you must understand why
we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go
there. He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteous, but
rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). God gave us free will and since Adam
sinned in the garden, sin is the nature of our flesh and we ALL have sinned. (Romans 3:23)
The law demands death to those who sin (Romans 6:23). Since we have all sinned, we all deserve hell.
Revelation 21:8 says that all liars will go to hell. Yes, even if you have lied once in your life, you are sentenced to hell - that's how
high God's standards are of moral perfection because God is holy and righteous, there is not one sin in Him.
For someone to be justified before holy God they have to be sinless, that's why everyone need Jesus Christ
- for He lived a sinless life, died on the cross and rose from the dead on the third day.
None of us are good in God’s eyes, because for God good means moral perfection. We all
have broken God’s commandments, we all have sinned in our lives so none of us
are good. ‘’For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is
guilty of breaking all of it.’’ (James 2:10). Our carnal mind is hostile to God; it does not submit
to God's moral law and it never will (Romans 8:7). We hate the thought of God for the same reason a criminal
hates a policeman - we know we have sinned against God and are guilty of it and we don't want to be damned.
No good works will ever save you. You can't earn salvation by good works, because God will judge us for our sin.
Good News is that Jesus Christ lived a perfect, holy, sinless life and He died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
He was buried and He was raised from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.’’ (John 3:16)
We aren’t saved by our good works, but only by the grace of God through faith in Christ.
''For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -
not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Jesus said ‘’it is finished’’ (John 19:30) just before He died on the cross, which means He paid the fine for our sins
(past, present, future) to be forgiven only IF we repent and trust in Him.
This is how you can get saved from sin and hell - repent of your sins and trust in Jesus Christ. Get to know Him
by reading God's Word.
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.” (Luke 11:13)
''What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!'' (Romans 6:15)
''Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out'' (Acts 3:19)
Repentance is a turning away from sin and all evil works, and it always results in changed behavior (Luke 3:8).
Biblically, a person who repents does not continue willfully in sin.
While sorrow from sin is not equivalent to repentance, it is certainly an element of scriptural repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10).
Do not play a hypocrite. ''God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.
If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.'' (1 John 1:5-6)
(John 3:3) Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."
If you have repented and have genuine faith in Jesus Christ then you will receive the gift of Holy Spirit and be born-again spiritually.
When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance
until the redemption of those who are God’s possession - to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14)
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36)
''You will know them by their fruits'' (Matthew 7)
If you have been truly born-again with the Holy Spirit and He has regenerated your heart, you will desire righteousnes -
to do what is good and righteous in God's eyes, to seek God everyday in His Word and prayer, to strengthen your relationship with God.
You will no longer desire to willfully continue living in sin but will want to obey God out of your love for Him because of His amazing grace
revealed to us through the death and resurrection of His Son.
''Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.'' (2 Corinthians 5:17)
''For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.'' (Eph 2:10)
You will have a testimony - of what your life had been before and how has it changed now when you have surrendered it to Lord Jesus Christ.
As a declaration and affirmation of your faith in Jesus Christ, get baptised in water because He commanded us to do so.
In John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.''
''Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit'' (Matthew 28:19)
''Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.'' (Acts 2:41)
''And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you also - not the removal of dirt from the body,
but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God - through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,'' (1 Peter 3:21)
''We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that,
just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.'' (Romans 6:4)
''Having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God,
who raised him from the dead.'' (Colossians 2:12)
Please get right with God and get to know Jesus Christ personally today before it’s too late, because there’s not much time left!
"But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.’’ (Mark 13:32)
Get to know Christ through God's Word - Bible.
Thank you!
I live in Rennes and I found your video so inspiring. Congrats 👍🏻
Excelente trabalho Bernardo, fazes tudo parecer tão simples! Não é qualquer pessoa que se desafia assim e que consegue partilhar a sua história de uma forma tão comovente e inspiradora.
Amazing video, enjoyed every second of it. Well done to the Marin and Quadlock for sponsoring this!!!
Thank you Bernardo, you are an inspiration!
Man !!! I missed your videos ..... this is better than many movies ❤ so calming so engaging 😊 . Just keep on doing ❤more often.
Love from India 🇮🇳
Too much love, too much passionate thank you Bernardo to make us a witness of such a demanding and inspiring journey. Vai ficar tudo bem!
I don’t know how I found your channel but I am glad I found it!
