  • 🔥 10 Reasons a Proslide XT is Better than ANY wheeled Sulky 👇
    100% Guaranteed Lowest Price on a Proslide XT:
    🔥 igoprolawnsupp...
    Quick benefits:
    ☑️ It enhances stripes
    ☑️ It's compact
    ☑️ Can still easily walk behind the mower!
    ☑️ Operator stays on the ground
    ☑️ Reduced PSI on the lawn
    ☑️ Will not destroy your knees!
    ☑️ Safety
    ☑️ Cost of ownership
    The Proslide XT is the best walk behind lawn mower sulky options available in our opinion. We have used single wheel sulkies, two-wheel sulkies, and even Kage Wheel Kaddy, Jungle Wheels, or a Wright Mfg Velke. The Proslide XT is far superior to them all. See our full product description for all of the benefits and then get yourself one so you can experience the difference for yourself!
    Novae Corp honors their warranty on our Proslide XT sales.
    👇 The 10 reasons:
    What makes the Proslide XT better than the traditional single wheel sulky or 2 wheeled sulkies? Where should I begin...
    1) The Proslide XT also acts as a striping kit as it extends the full width between your lawn mowers wheels laying the grass down as you mow.
    2) It takes up less room while on your trailer.
    3) It self-retracts every time you step off of it.
    4) It keeps you at ground level so you are still in the proper position to use your lawn mower's controls.
    5) It spreads your weight over the surface area of the platform you stand on. No more dark stripes created by single wheel sulkies.
    6) It will not damage your knees like 2 wheeled sulkies do over time.
    7) It is much safer when mowing on hills as you do not have your wheeled sulky in your way which can create a very dangerous situation.
    8) The most common repairs take less than 5 minutes to complete.
    9) It is very similar in price to the traditional wheeled sulkies you are probably familiar with. By the way, we have the cheapest price available on ProSlide XT's. We are an authorized dealer.
    10) The cost of ownership is very similar to wheeled sulkies. Instead of replacing tires and bearings, you only have a couple of torsion springs, gas shocks, and the wear plate to worry about replacing. If used properly the Proslide XT will last for years without any issues. Improper use or abuse will, of course, increase your repair costs. This is true of anything though!
    Common Questions About The Proslide XT:
    What if my mower deck is less than 48" wide?
    I saw the manufacturer doesn't recommend use on deck less than 48"...
    The reason the manufacturer doesn't recommend the to be used on decks smaller than 48" is twofold.
    #1 - The decks on the smaller size mowers don't weigh as much as the larger size decks. With the addition of the users weight which is in the back and low to the ground, makes it more likely the front wheels of the mower will not stay on the ground. This mainly would occur when starting to move quickly and on inclines.
    The solution for this, if needed, is to add weight to the front of your mower deck and/or castor wheel arms. Just needs to be enough weight to counteract the additional weight in the back.
    #2 - Smaller deck mowers typically have smaller engines and transmissions. Their concern here is that the additional weight of the user may be too much for the engine and transmission to function properly.
    What is the weight limit of the user/mower operator?
    The manufacturer recommends users be under 205 pounds, but it is not because the Proslide XT is not built to withstand that amount of weight. It is because there is a possibility that the front castor wheels will want to lift off the ground more than normal when accelerating quickly or when traveling up inclines. I personally operated our mowers with Proslides when weighing 220 pounds for years without issue. I even had one employee that weighed 270 pounds on it, but 270 pounds did put some stress on the Proslide.
    Will it fit on my mower?
    If a wheeled sulky of any kind works with your mower, the Proslide XT should too. That is a pretty standard rule of thumb. We used them on Snapper Pro walk-behinds with the foot petal breaks without issue (minor grinding needed to make the mounting bracket fit). Please just ask if you are unsure, and send pictures if possible of the back of your specific mower!
    I have a belt drive walk-behind...
    There is a chance that with the addition of the weight of the user, the belt and pulley transmission system on your mower may fail. This is why the manufacturers, like most wheeled sulky manufacturers, recommend them for use on hydro-drive machines.
    With that said, I personally know plenty of people using Proslides on belt-drive machines without issue. I also know a couple that simply returned theirs because their mower would not pull them around after installation. There are simply too many mowers for us to possibly know if you will have this issue or not.

    Bought this earlier in the season- gridiron still hasn’t got me a replacement wear plate so now I’m wearing through the steel and I’ll have to order a steel foot plate as well- what a great business model they have! Don’t return customer calls and don’t send replacement wear parts so the customer has to spend another 500 dollars for a whole other unit! 🤷‍♂️ freaking ridiculous man I liked the product otherwise but what should cost me 65 bucks for a replacement wear plate will cost me 3-4 times that now and I can’t use it currently because the steel will tear up customers lawns. Idk man 🤷‍♂️

    I would suggest if you think the pro-slide is the best you should try out the KAGE Innovations Wheel Kaddy 250,360, or the 500 series and your opinion may change. Kage Innovations Wheel Kaddy has 10” or 13” tire options and have adjustable suspension Technology compared to other wheeled attachments for a walk behind mowers where none of the others give you those options and it is an absolute game changer for walk behind rideability. And the best part is that it’s produced in the United States and not a Chinese throwaway model. The wheel bearings are also the tapered automotive type and are sealed and never have to be greased which is a time and money saver on maintenance of the unit. They are a bit more expensive but in my opinion the cost is well worth the benefit and you are supporting a US based small business and not the Chinese communist party and to me you can’t put a price on that!!! At least check out their TH-cam videos and I think you will see that this option is worth checking out and even purchasing one or see if they will send you a unit to review on your channel, I don’t think that you will be sorry that you did so.😁✌️🤙

      Was thinking of the kage sulkey. Need something that will be close to a standon as possible. If you stand farther from mower alot of shoulder is used. My concern is with it sliding on the ground with soft ground will your drivewheels be more likely to spin. Right now i have the smaller wheeled sulkey. Have to let air out of tires for smoother ride. Also plastic caps that stick slightly up could throw rider off.

    You crisscross on the same day? This must take you much longer to do a lawn. It's like double cutting each week...
    It looks good!

    • @LawnCrack
      @LawnCrack  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No. We'd only double-cut if needed b/c the grass was too long - sometimes a blower does a better job than double-cutting to disperse clumps too...
      If you mow it the same way for a couple of weeks, that switch to the diagonal, and then start alternating each week, the lines will stay!

    • @LawnCrack
      @LawnCrack  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From people buying and trying over the years, it seems if the operator is 160 pounds or less there is a good chance it will work on a belt drive mower.
      The belts slip with heavier users...this is why it is recommended for hydro-drive use. I know several guys use them just fine on their belt drive mower, I have also processed a couple returns because it wouldn't work for them.

  • @rbnjr
    @rbnjr ปีที่แล้ว

    With the front wheels coming off the ground as witnessed by your video the mower is not cutting the grass evenly and will be noticeable by the customer and will be unhappy about it. verdict is slider is a fail in my book. you need to keep the cutting deck level with the ground to produce a clean level cut and the slider does not. the good news is there are plenty of other options for walk behind mowers. Good video just not something i would do or accept.

    • @LawnCrack
      @LawnCrack  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is meant to slide on turf. You simply step off and walk freely since it is not in your way while not standing on it like a wheeled sulky.
      It's made of plastic. If you keep it solely on grass, it lasts for years.
      If you ride on concrete, it will typically last 8 months or so - depends on the user's weight... Plenty of people don't step off and just replace the wear plate often. I don't think it is a good idea, but I see it happening all the time.

    I am very interested in the Proslide for my Ferris 36" hydro walk behind that has 18.5hp. I believe my machine has plenty of power for this but wondering about needing extra weight in the front. Any thoughts on that? Ferris sell weights for this walk behind but wants $165. Wondering if there are other options?

    • @LawnCrack
      @LawnCrack  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      With a 36" deck weight maybe needed to help keep the deck down on take off and going up inclines. I recommend aerobic ankle weights for a cheaper option to get weight added to the caster wheel area. Or bolt a piece of steel or something heavy to the front edge of the deck.

    • @LawnCrack
      @LawnCrack  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@husq48 Awesome. The 'stop bar' is usually the reason for retraction issues. It is supposed to keep the Proslide from sliding under the mower when going down hill but I don't believe it even works when installed. I just walk down steep hills or keep my knees locked and put backward pressure on the diamond plate with my feet to keep it extended all the way back.

    My velke x2 was stolen last week, so I'm looking into this model. It sure seems like a no brainer to just have a metal skid plate on the bottom instead of plastic... Any idea why that's not an option? Do you know of anyone that's done this?

    • @LawnCrack
      @LawnCrack  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do not. I think any riding along concrete would not be an option at all if you had a metal plate though. You should ride it on concrete but just saying...
      Also, the only other thing to me to consider is the weight. The gas springs and torsion springs are 'torqued/loaded' IDK to operate it stock. Adding much of any weight would probably inhibit it from retracting like it should.
      If the wearplate primarily stays on turf it lasts a minimum of 2 years if not many more... Billy used one for 11 months without stepping off for driveways or sidewalks, etc to get you an idea if it does hit the concrete often.

    • @LawnCrack
      @LawnCrack  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Daryl. I'm personally sold on the platform and know many hundreds of other mowing services that agree.
      The major difference but really only difference between the Proslide and GoSlide is the retracting feature.
      IMO the GoSlide is about the cheapest well-built sulky on the market and literally has about nothing that can break, so cost of maintenance is super low on the GoSlide.
      Since the GoSlide doesn't retract, it does come with a manual chain up type system like many wheeled sulkies have.
      It's hard to say if it would work on your mower though...the manufacturer recommends a 48" deck (this is so the front end is less likely to pop off the ground during takeoffs) and hydro drive (this is because the belts could possibly slip and not move the mower forward with the user standing on the platform).
      I do know plenty of guys running either on 36" decks and belt drive mowers though without issue.

      Yes. Feel free to call me to discuss it. Basically if your mower can handle a wheeled sulky, the Proslide with also work.
      The things to note are that weight may be needed to keep the front end on the ground while taking off and going up hills.
      And, it is recommended the mower be a hydro drive as the belts can slip on some walk behinds.

      I wrote this article to help clarify: igoprolawnsupply.com/blogs/iampro-blog/will-the-proslide-xt-work-with-my-mower
      You will probably need to add weight to counter-balance the weight on the user standing on the Proslide XT to keep the mower's deck on the ground during take off from a complete stop and while going up hills while riding on the Proslide XT.
      The manufacturer also recommends hydro-drive because belt-driven mowers may have issues with the belts slipping due to the weight of the operator standing on the Proslide XT. It seems guys 160 pounds or so or less can get away with using a Proslide or GoSlide with a belt-driven mower from the feedback I've received over the years.
