    Thats it! Trade it in for a small vride! LOL Walk behinds can be so touchy with doing wheelies. Ive never used one that small but I can imagine what it must be like. Looks like it cuts and stripes amazing!

  • @jesus2402
    @jesus2402 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I always use the walk behind mowers in my set up along with a zero turn or a stand on mower. Mainly for hails since both zero turn and stand on will slide or flip over. Especially when customers decide to water their lawn knowing you are coming. Try using a stand on or zero turn on a wet hail and see what happens.

    • @CountrysideStrong
      @CountrysideStrong  ปีที่แล้ว

      We use standers on everything even insanely steep hills, easier to jump off when shit gets bad lol

      @jesus2402 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CountrysideStrong yeah makes sense. Just in my personal opinion I like to minimize the damage that is caused when the machine slides down when wet. I don't have that many laws where I require to use it but it is like the old reliable. After all that is how I got started in Lawn Care. With a 36 inch deck scag belt driven.

    • @CountrysideStrong
      @CountrysideStrong  ปีที่แล้ว

      @jesus2402 yup i had one too. That’s the good thing about these standers, they rarely slide and when they do i almost never get any damage it doesn’t actually rip the grass

    I almost pulled the trigger on a Scag 36 inch walk behind last year, but I ended up getting a V-Ride 2 32”. No regrets. I run (2) V-Ride 2’s a 48 & the 32”. I use a 21” Honda also. The walk behind’s appear to be so versatile.

    I had the same issues with my swzt front end lifting up while on the bradley 2 wheeled sulky. I went to harbor freight and bought a really cheap Hercules tool bag with a heavy duty zipper. I then went to a mechanic shop and asked for a bunch of used wheel weights (they just gonna throw them out) and dumped like 20 lbs in the bag. Bungee corded it to the metal panel on the mower and wow it made such a difference. It's not permanent so you can experiment with it to see if you wanna rig something up. My bag of wheel weights have been on the mower for 2 years and haven't had issues with it at all. Rain or shine.

    • @stevenclark5450
      @stevenclark5450 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's good to hear that about 20lbs of added weight to the front of your Scag pretty much solved your wheelie problem. I am seriously considering a 36" Ferris walk behind along with a Proslide sulky to get into backyards with small gates. Any words of caution of advise on this?

    Hard to beat the standers. Fast, comfortable, maneuverable, great mowers. I’m on year two with the walker and grandstand and very happy.

    The prDoslide looks very cool! I am considering one for my Ferris FW25 48". Do you get a smoother ride than with a 2 wheeled sulky? Doesn't look like you can go in reverse with it. Do you feel that's a drawback?

    I remember now why they don’t recommend mowers under 48 inches due to popping wheelies. Have you tried a Wright Two Wheel Velke? More expensive but well worth it in your situation. The platform flips upside down during transport so it doesn’t hang down off the chain. Big advantage the platform spins all the way around so it doesn’t jack knife when backing up while mowing.

    In his defense I'd say the boss is responsibile to fill the mower with gas every night or morning before the day. Those have tanks so large you shouldn't be able to burn 1 tank in a day. Did you check the blade tips vd deck height on the swzt? Mine was off 1 full inch before I realized it.

    • @CountrysideStrong
      @CountrysideStrong  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
