Hey Jason! I just ordered the 2023 model and was looking into buying a slip-on exhaust, but I love that sound you tuned. Please let me know how you did it!
I have a 21 svart and I love the spoiler wing on the back so much!! Crazy to see someone take it off. I also like my stock rear license plate holder too and the tank mount thing. the bikes weird and I like it. Only mods I did is bar end mirrors and cat delete pipe 68 bucks on ebay.
@@jasonlawrence8302 you must be joking, the spoiler and tank rack and rear fender are the biggest things that make it look custom, you take all those off and it just looks like every other motorcycle. You contradicted yourself so hard it's not even funny..
@@jasonlawrence8302 my original comment literally says those things make it look unique and that's why I like it, then you say I have no taste in custom when it's literally the most custom looking factory bike ever you're a moron high class.
Nice diy job mate.Did you think that a svart 2020 can attach yours ,the 2018 black and yellow circle husky tankpads instead the ugly 401 tankpads that this moment is attached and I want to change them?
Hey brother, Jason Lawrence, oddly enough I'm actually in the market for this exact bike... and I absolutely love what you've done to it. I guess you can say I'm sort of reminiscing about my ktm 390 I used to have- the lightweight & nimbleness of it. If you've just about had your fun with the bike and don't have much need for it, please let me know and I'll buy it off ya cash as long as the price is reasonable. If it's your most prized possession no worries I understand. Godspeed~
@@jasonlawrence8302 okay great. I'm looking towards maybe the next 3 to 4 weeks. Where are you based out of? Also here's my number 6262276812 shoot me a text if you can thanks
Excellent video! You got skills to make those kind of modifications. What will you do for luggage since you took off the tank rack? Do you still have this bike and why did you decide on this bike over others? And did you think about the 701 Svartpilen? Why this one over the 701? Thanks
Hi. Can you tell me what bolts you used after you removed the tank rack? I have removed the rack, but need shorter bolts. I want to get new ones, instead of cutting the original ones down just in case I want the rack back on.
@@jasonlawrence8302 thank you for getting back to me. Loving the route you have taken with your Svartpilen. I am looking to go down a similar route, but I agree with the bike looking much better without a tank rack.
Hey mate, Bike looks good. I have a 401 too, have made many many mods from front suspension rebuild, Nitron rear shock, to bars to crash bars to ecu, filter, airbox lid, etc etc etc.. The thing I'm struggling with is Exhaust note, I've got both a MIVV, and an AliExpress cat delete pipe but I simply cannot get a decent tone out of either the std end can or an aftermarket AliExpress cheapy. I'd be keen to know what you did to the stock can.. I'm assuming a repack maybe but, please, let me know. Thanks
the stock can is a straight thru glass pack. remove end cap and use a dremel to cut out the 6" db killer and reassemble. the stock can does in fact sound better than most after market mufflers when this is done
Very gentlemen work on exhaust.... Sir could u pls make a video how to do that.... Pls regards from india.... Hattss off to ur custom works.... I too have the same bike...
Cool bike!!! I hope you can go over your exhaust DIY secret in a video. Sharing knowledge reciprocates back to you. Good karma. 🤘🏻 thank you for this video.
remove the rivets on the endcap, you will see the db killer from the inside and you can either cut it out or torch it out or use a 1 1/2" hole saw. then put her back together......it sounds way better in person!

took out the rivets and removed the endcap, used a dremmel on the inside of the endcap to remove the welded in db killer.....great tone when it was out!!
Could you please make a video of how you tuned the exhaust, would love that sound on my bike. Big ups!

I wear it on the back of my jacket
That tiny fender and bar end mirrors are the only thing i feel the stock is missing out on.. really cool job
Which Ktm model did you take that rear fender from? thanks!
So how did you mod the exhaust to sound like that? great job man!
Love the sound of it and the cleanup for the rear. Good job.👍

what did you do to the exhaust ? :))
removed the muffler end cap and ground off the 5" metal tube and put it back together with new rivets

How did you cut out the DB killer?
just purchased 2021 svartpilen! super stoked but would love to know your secret on exhaust mod...thanks if your not to busy
How did you fix that exhaust man? That sounded real good? Could you pls show me?
M8 what bolts did u use to plug the holes after removing the rack???
shorter bolts with the same thread and the washers that were in the rack
do you have a link for the signals and mirrors?
Try adding a front mudguard like the ducati scrambler, i think it will enhance the look of the bike more. Just a suggestion 😊
please stick to riding only!
How did you get it to sound that good?
Love the custom tail tidy

So where do you out the license plate?

Hi Jason, great job you´ve done! where did you set the licence plate? BTW love the sound and the rear fender
license plate was on a small bracket attached to the axle bolt
after the axle I decided to mount under the front of the rear fender, then I just decided to put it on my back LOL
What’s that rear fender? Do you have model number?
it was the rear portion of a spare 390 duke front fender. I had to cut and trim before I built a mount under the rear portion of the husky
