    Nice Svart!! I just picked up a Vitpilen 401 and did most of the same mads as you except the pipe. Gonna do that next. Look forward to more vids!

    Would a Duke 390 front and rear fender fit the 401? I’m more curious than anything how it would look.

    Can you please comment on the riding and performance differences between the Svartpilen and 390 duke ? Thanks much

    Hey Jason, would you be able to go into a bit more detail on how you made the fender eliminator? Thanks!!

      I used a 1" piece of aluminum bar and cut it to size then bent the sides and drilled it for the signals. I also used the original plate holder and bolted it to the bar. It all mounted directly under the tail with the factory bolts under the rear of the seat. Hope this helps!

      jason lawrence Why did you take off the modified part of the Duke you had before?

    • @jasonlawrence8302
      @jasonlawrence8302  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      take a 3/4" piece of aluminum stock and cut to fit and bend the sides down for the signals, you can also attach a small fender to the bracket if you want.....hope this helps

      @@tomasqtomas was trying to find my favorite spot for the LP and ended up with the fender back on and plate hidden underneath as in part 3

    Hi Jason. How did you remove the end cap of the exhaust from the main body of the muffler once the rivets were drilled out? I am struggling to separate the two pieces apart to get to the actual db killer.

    • @jasonlawrence8302
      @jasonlawrence8302  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a rubber mallet and hit the sides with down force. It's tight but will come loose with hits directed at knocking it off. Using a rubber mallet doesn't hurt the finish!

    Can you give us more details on the mod you've done on your muffler ? Maybe a video ?

      @jasonlawrence8302  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      tuff to do a video after being done already....remove the end cap after taking out the six rivets from the pipe. You will see the db killer welded to the end cap, just remove it completely and reassemble, hope this helps!

      @@jasonlawrence8302 thanks ! How did you took out the rivet and reassemble them back ? Possible to replace them by screws ?

    • @jasonlawrence8302

    Loving the vids Jason, great job. Just a thought, and perhaps not one for real life, but do you think a reasonably straight swap would be possible for the TFT display on the 390 Duke onto the Husky? I know the round display of the Svartpilen isn't to everyone's liking but the TFT is. Thanks

      Haven't tryed that although they both have all the same information so it might be as easy as just plugging it in or making your own wiring harness!

    • @booblyash
      @booblyash 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because i'm looking to buy one, i was able to question lead mechanic from nearest dealer about maintance costs and rebuild costs with labor and etc. After question about led light and its replacement, he sad that every led head and back units and dashboard are VIN wired, so new parts need to be manually added through ECU by dealer soft if these parts in stock. If its not, dealer will order from factory, but factory able to add all VIN information to these parts, so they're unique to your ECU.
      So, i assume, move with swapping dashboards is nearly impossible without special soft and knowlege

      heat gun then removing with fingers and finally cleaning off excess glue with gasoline

      Il probably do the same 😁
      Footpeg position seems better in svart.
      Then get a custom handlebar ergonomically fit to you with best possible comfort to your riding style 😉
