How did Andrew do? Did you guys know he is our editor for the videos you see on Thursdays and Fridays? Also he may or may not be my twin. The jury is still out on that. Thanks to cooberecu.com/ for providing Andrew with his parts!
I like the direction this channel is going. All the new faces. I remember my first spite video, I was not a fan. Now spite is a welcomed soothing voice.
spite got it dialed in now and he is so fun to watch especially that super hero lookin stance with the sunnies on is just hilarious. basically the hole crew is talanted they just need more time on camera ! . and yes more andrew plz
Yes, but the Vitpilen's tail and colors are so much better! I was fantazising about my perfect Husky and it would be very close to this one (minus the rear grab handles)
To anyone still interested, the tyres are HEIDENAU K73s! Took me forever going back and forth from little stills here and there. Managed to spot K73 at 5:38.
The husky dealer here said they are going to be discontinued. They look cool but I think ktm maybe doesn't want the two lines of the same bikes basically ?
I live in KC and had never heard of Hickory Union Moto until now, so thanks for spreading the word! I love the channel, so please keep these vids coming. Thanks again, take care, and be well. 🤙
If anyone was wondering more about that fender it is made by projektracing and he is also manufacturing the vitpilen aero body from the concept as a kit . has a killer swingarm license plate mount too
is there any difference in 0-60 time? Also how's visibility with the new bar end mirrors facing down? I have them in up position, but they look way cooler mounted downward.
Please make more videos with this bike. I really want to pick up a vit 401 and it's cool to see what kind of mods I might be able to do to it down the line.
@@ronanjones4189 i dont think anyone its trying too be faster than a faster bike on a small displacement bike. They just want too know how much faster it is than stock. If your gonna spend the money too make i bike faster then im sure most people wanna know the gains before spending the cash.
The 0-60 will be about the same, it may be slightly improved as there may be more power, and the weight will have dropped a little due to the exhaust. I'd be totally guessing here, but if this bike does 0-60 in 5.5 seconds stock, you probs gona get down to 5.3 (I got one of these at the moment, and modded plenty other bikes). A sprocket change will make a bigger difference, or rider losing some weight. These mods can make a bike feel faster and more fun, this to me is a more important goal than 0-60, although I get why you want to know. Effectively there will be no difference. I roughly recall the previous 0-60 run and thought they were not trying very hard, and could do it faster without any changes to the bike.
When I did an aftermarket exhaust on my KTM 390 I found the same thing, it was such a harsh loud volume. This is due to the incredibly high compression ratio and aggressive nature of the engines combustion process. These things are tuned right to the limit.
I love my new vitpilen , I put the Headlight guard on it like the svartpilen and bar end mirrors and thankfully mine came with the seat grip spoiler thing , I love how it looks and riding it
Great video - except it would have been great to hear the comparison of the stock and new exhaust back to back - and also to see the new 0-60 time - I currently ride a Svartpilen 125, my test is this Friday and my local dealer has 2 401s or a 701........decisions!
I don't believe Mellow Yamm when he says there was "a lot of swearing involved" in ripping out the exhaust. More like "some polite disagreement was expressed" ✌
Why not use quickshifter instead of that wrist action and clutch? It didn't sound much louder, but difficult to tell without a proper sound clip. And with the stock muffler the airflow is still restricted by the dB killer...
These things look so damn cool, I wish they sounded better. If husky borrowed the 790 or 890 engine and threw it into the 701 chassis, I’d have one yesterday
Nice mods. Really like your calm and relaxed video delivery, made it feel like chatting with a mate. I have a 2020 Svart, would love to know if your exhaust increased the ground clearance, and what the engine guards you are getting are.
I own a baby 250 svartpilen (no 401 available in india yet) and I basically need to track down special parts for my Husky or build it myself Thankfully I can use most KTM power parts
Yannie, Your videos are awesome, a lot of good and accurate informations for an old biker....who want to get back to motorcycle after 10 years ..... That baby Svartpilen is so hot, I just hope i don’t find it slow after a year
This was a great video! I liked the night shots with the music it was badass. I’m supposed to get my Svartpilen 401 this up coming week! I’m a first time rider and I would be super interested if you made a video on how to use the quick shifter. I know the bike comes with one but I’m a little timid when it comes to the use of it. Much thanks and great video!!
i have the svart 401. the quick shifter is easy to use just open the throttle and change the gear without using the clutch. I noticed that when you dont have enough rpm the gear doesnt change so you cant make any mistake. only some minor bumps in lower rpms
Man it's spring break I should have been able to get my motorcycle out of storage. It was supposed to be ready March 31st. But It has been warm a couple of days in laurel Maryland but it is cold today.
The 0-60 tyimer is kinda useless since you swapped gears by using the clutch... AS for the new fender; I want one of those! You do however need to add some type of protection to the fork, right?? Great video, thanks for sharing!
How did Andrew do? Did you guys know he is our editor for the videos you see on Thursdays and Fridays? Also he may or may not be my twin. The jury is still out on that. Thanks to cooberecu.com/ for providing Andrew with his parts!
Wait.... hold up.... what.... You are telling me that there may or may not be a twin Yammie Noob my head is going to explode.....
I am down for more Andrew vids
He did great man
No real sound clip of the exhaust after the new pipes. Disappointed
Overall the video was pretty good. My one complaint is the music choices
I like the direction this channel is going. All the new faces. I remember my first spite video, I was not a fan. Now spite is a welcomed soothing voice.

It’s like they’re trying to be the motorcycle version of Top Gear… and succeeding.
This comment didn't age well HA
i thought i was on the wrong channel when the video played .. because i was expecting our loud papa yam not his polite twin xD
agreed
Haha same
With the handlebars and fender risers, sounds like Andrew should've gotten the Svartpilen to start with.
Yes, but the Vitpilen's tail and colors are so much better! I was fantazising about my perfect Husky and it would be very close to this one (minus the rear grab handles)
He should have bought a dual sport or a small adventure bike, he's thrown the style of the Vitpilen right out the window.
Tyres too.
He had a svartpilen, this is his second 401
Agreed. Basically it’s a svartpilen. 🤨
The mic setup in Andrew's helmet ist insanely good. Very crisp, no interference noise. Almost sounds like its recorded in a studio.
The audio is too good. I’m thinking it actually is just voice over
I think it sounds really clear, but keep in mind he’s talking super at super low volume. As soon as he raises his voice it starts to distort.
@@FrameEsc maybe because it is
i think its horrible

Thank you guys for coming back to the Svartpilen/Vitpilen! These bikes need more attention and are underrated. Keep them coming!
Sucks here in the Philippines they cheapen down on giving it alloy wheels whilst price remained the same :x.
@@metalsadman i feel you on that but changing the wheels is easy enough so im not too worried about that
The husky dealer here said they are going to be discontinued. They look cool but I think ktm maybe doesn't want the two lines of the same bikes basically ?
no they don't need anymore attention...
@@bella_testastretta why do you say that?

Sweet bike. Wish there was a before and after exhaust note comparison, both static and flyby. Other than that, great vid.
"But today we´re gonna trade in those Italian meatballs for some Swedish ones"
That intro is deserving of a Like! :D
One thing that was not covered, the question on the thumbnail, is it too loud? So is it?
It's been like 2 weeks with my 2020 vitpilen 701 and it's great
Man I hope we get a vitpilen/svartpilen 901 and 1301 in the future 🙏
@@jankunc7593 pp vibration going to be insane

Let's just hope the Norden 901 comes this year 😂
There’s going to be a Svartpilen 901?
If anyone was wondering more about that fender it is made by projektracing and he is also manufacturing the vitpilen aero body from the concept as a kit . has a killer swingarm license plate mount too
as a UK rider you sound like an irritating seasonal rider that doesn't go out of there's too much moisture in the air.
Very nice setup ! A part list would be really appreciated. Specially the front fender risers and tires, those are damn sexy !
Do you know the brand of those tyres?
this video was so needed!!
-all vitpilen owners from India.
That high mount front mudguard did it for me. Now I want one so bad.
For anyone who was wondering the song at 6:40 is Caution by Skrxlla
With a little twist, this woulda been a great April first vid.
The front fender is absolutely CLUTCH TO THE AESTHETICS!
So, I’m gonna try to pretty much copy what you did. 401 is sick looking
That night city montage was some real fortnine vitpilen 701 review type stuff!
is there any difference in 0-60 time?
Also how's visibility with the new bar end mirrors facing down?
I have them in up position, but they look way cooler mounted downward.
I somewhat really dig the new scrambler-kinda look of the bike. Great work Andrew.
why didn't he just get the svartpilen if he's just gonna turn his vitpilen into one? 🤔
That's my thought exactly 🤔🤔
It is a svartpilen
Exactly
@@haneyboyz5397 no it's not

Watching the production of this video it feels like we've been watching papa Yammie and Spite in 480p all along.
what was the 0-60 with new exhaust?
It wouldnt be anything noteably faster especially when there is no new tune

@@GranAutizmo Yeah, having a 0-60 run stock implies there's going to be a comparison after the modifications. An oversight or is it the same/worse?
@@hustler717 yeh i noticed they had a stock 0-60 and stock exhaust clip. But neither after the mods. Probably just forgot to film them.

Beautiful mods! Awesome night shots with the music! Great all around video. P.S. if you want, I’ll just buy the bike now, no big deal. Like right now!

saw a Husq 701 with these mods but they shortened the seat and kept the license plate in its original spot with a simpler bracket and it looks sick
I listened to this video in my car, and that music in the beginning slaps.
It was nice to see some KC ride footage!
I always appreciate the Andrew videos. It's great to see a rider in a different location.

Andrew, how do you get to the bridge at 9:11? It seems like the quietest place to cross the river instead of using 29 South to get into downtown
I like all the new folks it has added a genuine opinion from very different size and shaped riders :)
