For the love of God don't put your AC on full blast when you want to film the driving experience of a car. It is like having a vacuum cleaner next to you at the opera house.
My aunt had a 4 door Continental….. this brings back so many memories. I loved the opera windows, the ashtrays, and all of the side lighting, including the keyholes. But this Mark with that color combo is gorgeous/stunning. Funny thing my other aunt had a Dodge Ramcharger with the same light blue color and it was also my favorite. These hues of blue need to make a comeback 😍
Very nice car and extremely clean. Rare color as well as most of these would have been that " famous" dove grey that Lincoln used versus a a silver during this time period
I remember as a kid my brother and I washing and waxing my dads Mark 5 Lincoln in front of our home in Severna Park Maryland his Continental was fully loaded with the 460 Big Block . When he floored this vehicle the front would nearly come off the ground and felt like you were going for lift off 😂 so the engine was modified a little. It was the smoothest driving vehicle I've ever drove in I'd love to own one but I'm poor lol. Anyway thanks for the video! God Bless
To fix that antenna properly ,remove it from the car and clean it and spray WD 40 in the motor let the excess drain out then reinstall . Polish the shaft and lube .antenna must be lowered to remove from car . I know what I am talking about I own 4 1976 CONTINENTAL MARK IV
I Had A V ❤❤❤Lord But I Loved The IV s …. Amazing Luxury Car!! I Would Choose That Over S 2024 Anything! Sure Power!!!🤜 Those Cars And Still On The Highway 😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful car. That toggle for the windows runs hot,so if you store the car for some period you may want to disconnect the battery to avoid an electrical fire. It's rare but has happened, just a design flaw in the Mk IV
Power seat switches too. They’re constantly hot. Best to get a battery disconnect post for when not in use. Always keep an extinguisher handy, & clean switches of any build up if possible! Beautiful Mark there!!!
I’m wondering if this a 75 model because the rear windows did open on most models of this particular year. The 76 model year is when lincoln done away with it and they became fixed and non electric power. Because I used to own one in 1975. I’m just making an observation of the interior.
Hey Chris I was wondering on the 75 Lincoln Mark 4 are those the right size tires? They look a little bit small? And I believe the only way to fix that roof it would be to replace the vinyl top I don't think you could stretch it I could be wrong but I don't think you could it's a beautiful car other than that.
Do you mean p 235 75 R15 that would be a LR 78/15 in the old school size then a 225 75 R15 would be a HR 7815 is a 215 78 R15 would be a GR 78/15. And then or 205 75 R15 would be a FR 78/15 they used to have a size in between the H and the L it was called the JR 78/15 lot of cars came with that size but they don't make it anymore
5:16 not a long hood, it's the front yard😂😂 7:36 206 HP is not considered respectable amount of HP and 357 FT LB is not so much of torque, for the big engine
No the paint over all is quality. And how about that Mexican radio?? If you want to be more exact, maybe closer to 15 mpg. But nobody is buying this for the fuel economy.
@@johndillinger8482 I am not one to brag, but I have 2 garage full of cars at the house. And with me being in the business I get the joy of driving any of these at any given time.
What a beautiful Lincoln they don’t build cars like this anymore the good old days when cars had beautiful lines and Crome
It is sad that America doesn't really make and significant big luxury car. Am I missing something?
Even old American appliances had that too. Take a look at 1950's Frigidiare Unimatic washing machines for an example...
For the love of God don't put your AC on full blast when you want to film the driving experience of a car. It is like having a vacuum cleaner next to you at the opera house.
Sorry, it was hot!
I'd prefer to have a vacuum cleaner in my ear vs. listening to Opera. Not a good analogy.
Besides, did it occur to you, he was possibly burning TF up?
It’s Florida. In the summer……
I love the fact those are actual wheels. Until recently, I thought they were hubcaps.
Yeah all wheel except the center cap!
So did I untill I bought and brought home mine. 🤭
Pleasently surprised. Love these wheels.
Love its luxurious sounding horn. The competition uses a similar sounding horn on theirs.
Thanks!

It is the silver luxury group with the silver interior
I wish Detroit would build cars like this again. Look at it! These cars have lasted the test of time! 👍👍
They could if they wanted to! Thanks!
That interior is royalty.
Indeed it is!
If I had the space I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
Thanks! That does seem to be an issue for many people! lol

I actually have a 78 Mark V Wedgewood Luxury Group with a sunroof. There is one video already posted showcasing the undercarriage.

I agree that the tires look a size or two too small. The only good replacement nowadays is 235/75/15.

460 lol i remember back in the 80s you could buy them cars for scrap pieces :)
Now to people who know, these are the Lincolns they want, with the 460.

Interesting
There are late production '75s without the power rear windows, like this one and the Gold Luxury Group '75 Bill had recently.
Yeah, I don't have that answer.
Genuine used car dealer style and outfit
Is that a compliment? lol
@@christianbugatticgHow much did it sell for?!

I'd pay FULL MSRP for the car.
LOL! Me too!!
Oh I wanted to see the engine
I have many other videos of this car. Thanks!
When you punched it music to my ears.
Glad you liked it!
Well, when you step on it you demonstrate that the engnine is not done blowed up.
Lol, right!
I would really appreciate it, if someone could tell me what model is that white retro coupe, parked in the background, at 2:00? Thank you in advance.
So that is a 1990 Chevy Beretta GTU! I have several videos of it on my channel here. Enjoy!
Christian did this ever sell after it didn’t meet the reserve on BAT?
It fell short on the reserve but the high bidder and I worked it out. Thanks!!!
Is there a price on the lot now that it’s off BAT?
Typically yes, but the high bidder and I worked it out so it's sold. Sorry you missed it!

Back in those days most luxury cars including
Lincoln's rode on 230R15 which are the correct period size tires for this particular vehicle.
Hey thanks! I am pretty certain the tires are correct and you are probably right about the top.
Do you mean p 235 75 R15 that would be a LR 78/15 in the old school size then a 225 75 R15 would be a HR 7815 is a 215 78 R15 would be a GR 78/15.
