I actually like running both Nichia & CW versions of the Tool AA with NiMH (LADA/Eneloop Pro) for my use case. I like having access to lower outputs for low/medium and high of 140 which is actually about 150L when compared to my other lights rated @ 150L is more than enough. The Nichia /w NiMH has been tested @ Low: 1.5L/Med: 18L/High: 110L/Turbo: 165 L.
I have the Nichia version and love it. Outdoors on walks, the turbo of 165L on NiMH is a bit lacking, so I switch to a 14500 battery. But then I miss the 1.5L low (almost moonlight mode) of NiMH. Still, great light.
Recently got a Lumintop FW4X , great little flashlight with adjustable colour range from 3000- 6500k which really nice on the eyes, will look at getting another lumintop in the future
I have the black 2.0 and the tail switch lights up blue…. But my white one the tail switch doesn’t turn blue, even with the 920 mah battery… light works fine but tail switch doesn’t turn blue

I have a couple of these myself, they give out a lot of light for their size. I also recommend you try the UV version.

I have both and they are both great lights! The E12 is smaller and slightly better to edc.
