It won't sell many in the UK, because its reduced load capacity takes it out of ' dual purpose commercial vehicle' tax classification, which means business owners lose the ability to get full tax relief and to reclaim the VAT on it. Also the annual tax for private use will be much higher than normal for a pickup I believe. Similar tax situation in many other countries, which is why all these vehicles usually have a 1050Kg-plus payload. Also in many countries they really do need the 3.5 ton towing capacity, although that isn't such an issue for this particular model.

I am looking to buy a 2nd hand Raptor in 2025. Question for owners of this very awesome bakkie : how does it drive over rough pothole ridden roads compared to other bakkies and/or SUV's? Is it slightly better, or a LOT better?
Markus Very impressive really a great bakkie ,but the real test is when this thing has 200000km on the clock then you have to test it again .You need to choose a couple of bakkies with that km on the clock and test them again then we will see which one does the best any new bakkie is great but is there live after death
An American here. 1) what's a bakkie? The only thing I could guess was maybe it's the bed 2) every time I hear him call it a car I cringe inside. IT'S CALLED A TRUCK, A TRUCK. 3) I wish this was available in America.
1. Bakkie is a South African word for Pickup. 2. It's still a car even if it's a "Truck". Few people would ever call this small thing a truck down here. Large Tractor Units (18 wheelers, I hear they call them on American TV shows) are what we consider trucks. But you know - Semantics, divided by a common language. 3. I believe it'll soon be. 4. Bonus numbered paragraph. Have a great year.
@@jobkunda we also call 18 wheelers semi trucks as another example, and also thanks for understanding that the 2nd point was intended to sound very sarcasticly humorous, like I was saying "A TRUCK" very loudly and stretched out, when in reality it doesn't realy matter that he isn't calling it a truck.

Ciro: bakkies are dumb and impractically large.
Also Ciro: really likes the biggest most obnoxious bakkie of all. 😂
Not as big as the America-exclusive ones, though!
I am looking to buy a 2nd hand Raptor in 2025. Question for owners of this very awesome bakkie : how does it drive over rough pothole ridden roads compared to other bakkies and/or SUV's? Is it slightly better, or a LOT better?
Markus
Very impressive really a great bakkie ,but the real test is when this thing has 200000km on the clock then you have to test it again .You need to choose a couple of bakkies with that km on the clock and test them again then we will see which one does the best any new bakkie is great but is there live after death
I love Tacomas but that new ranger raptor looks extremely capable
An American here.
1) what's a bakkie? The only thing I could guess was maybe it's the bed
2) every time I hear him call it a car I cringe inside.
Fun fact: in Australia, they're not considered to be trucks! They're just another category of car! Also, just like South Africa has the word "bakkie," Australia has the word "ute."
Please review the new ford ranger wildtrak
What psi do you recommend when going on the sand
I desperately need this to be in America
But you have the real deal F150 Raptor. Why lust for the pretender?
Do you export cars to Kenya?
Awesome video, love the new Raptor
Awesome Review
Cars.co.za please-please do a review on the South African (Bloemfontein) manufactured bakkies called Brandt BRV!
watching this vid in 2022 and you are complaining about 2019 fuel prices.
It's about time we got a raptor in SA... In an ideal world, every car would have a performance focused counterpart but alas a car zealot can only dream😪
Do you think SA will get the new Bronco?
Great video! Thx.
