I showed this to my family and they're surprised on how good the quality, especially zoomed in is on this camera. Camera wise, Huawei killed it this year. No doubt.

Wait for Oppo Reno. Oppo was the first using the prototype of 10X periscopic zoom lenses, created by the Israeli company now acquired by Samsung.
I hope Oppo Reno will perform great as well, as it should cost even less and has no edge, no notch and no hole in the front display 😁

I’m a heavy Apple user. Wouldn’t normally think of switching to any other smartphone but for once I’m impressed with an Android this camera looks amazing!

Knowledge Mavhunga I’ve owned Windows laptops and android phones in the past. But since 8 years ago I switched to iPhone and 3 years ago also to Mac once you’re in the ecosystem you won’t easily get out cause everything works so well together (not that I want to switch). I’m sure iPhone’s have it’s limitations towards Android as far as customization, but for me it’s all about the feel and interface. Apple for just feels much more smooth to work sith and better quality. That’s just my thoughts.

In the end, I bought the P30Pro based on this video..
I got the P30 pro last week.
Pros:
1. Raw dng on all three lenses 16mm,27mm,125mm
2. The main camera is amazing for low light
3.OOC jpegs look better than Samsung's overprocessed and saturated POS
4.Always on video stabilization
5.Probably the best camera app
6. Night mode available on all three lens
Cons:
1. White balance issue on main cam
2. Telephoto lens' real aperture seems more like f4.5 or even f5 as a result it has trouble focusing in low lit environment and you have to use slow shutter speeds like 1/20
3. The video stabilization at night is absolutely horrible because of the jittering

joost bakker Of course it looks good in this video. This video must be colour graded or something. In the real thing, the video is just way too red. People faces are red as if they are drunk xD

multiple focal lengths in your pocket now that's a game changer!
That's not multiple focal lengths ..the camera is just switching the plane ( x and y ) you will need z axis to get exact focal length ..thats why you don't see any blurred (bokeh) background while zoomed in like dslr . Whilst its still amazing to see how a small camera assembly is capable of doing .

This phone looks incredible. I’ve had iPhones for the last 6 years but now time to ditch them for the Huawei P30 pro. Although I’m not due to upgrade until October so hopefully there will be a Mate 30 pro out by then. I only got into mobile photography last year and was really impressed with the camera on the iPhone X but the Huawei camera has blown it completely out of the water. Bye bye Apple 👋
