Any camera does. The fact that they could gather light for much longer periods of time alone makes them superior already.
Then we've got macro/wide/zoom lenses which makes them vastly ahead of our own sight.
Oh, did I forgot to say that a camera could capture light waves that our eyes can't, such as infrared??
even my s8 has better vision that I do. I use it to zoom in blackboard when i cannot see something

For video recording, Apple and Samsung still have good HDR and audio quality, but for photography it seems that Huawei is the best except its over saturation.

Oh my god ! I thought that the P20 pro could see in the dark but it is the P30 ! Wow !
I think it's really impressive how this phone captures elements that even we as humans can't really see, but I think that brightening up the sky makes it look more like it was taken during the day.
I'd prefer something where the sky still remains the darkest of blues or even black but the rest is brightened up.
Still, this is the best there is, so I'm not complaining too much.
u can do it juz by disable the night mode, of course the object will be darker
Man the quality of your videoes are so awesome, and so proffesional! If you want to see something sick, go out when there are stars, switch to pro mode, and choose iso 400k. The P30 Pro will shoot at 0.5 sec, give it some time to process and get mindblown. You will see so many stars and the detail, they really did a good jobb with this one!
Good phone with so many camera setting options, but need to learn how to use it, hopefully someone can summarize the functions

Try to take some while holding the phone in hands. Not gonna be a near success, the whole process is different.

Nah the S10 is a much better phone, and has a better camera. Huawei is only better in low light and zoom. Samsung destroys Huawei with daylight photography, video recording and of course its Ultra Wide camera.

My honor 8x can also do the night shots for phoned not supporting night shot go to pro mode and set iso to 1500 and above and increase shutter speed to 3-5 sec

You can change that if you want...
Light sensors are able to see much more light than human eyes. It just an option. You could shoot in auto mode or even in pro mode to get exactly what your eyes can see, but it's cool being able to get all those details your eyes miss in the dark. Long exposure shots are great for example to astro-photography and many other fields.
Smartphones are becoming wonderful tools in photo and video in day and night conditions so....where are the bad news?
Lower exposure and you have your night time image.
But how will I add light to a dark image by just increasing the exposure??
